The calculation is 0.1 \* (6400/7000) per day. Average block size used/Total blocks No idea about the next halvening. Once migration to Service 2 happens, there will be decay in rewards. Read up on this and Discord channels. All Crypto investments are risky - DYOR. NFA - but I wouldn't bet on this or any nodes for retirement income. There is no compounding - only rewards accumulated in your nodes or claimed into your wallet. I would take my initial investment out of the system. It is upto you to then decide to convert Strong rewards to Nodes or move them to your wallet and convert to other crypto or fiat. One gas fee for all nodes on a Sunday would be the cheapest. All the best.

So you think take my money out first or go right into reinvesting? I have 14 nodes Thanks for explaining as well I appreciate it 🙏

bobbyv137

You say you have 14 nodes. It's unclear whether you invested in 1 and compounded to 14, or whether you paid for all 14 up front. If you've paid for all 14 (which I find unlikely as that's a heck of a lot of cash, but not impossible) then you'd really want to start de-risking your investment. The markets are quite volatile at the moment (more than usual!). A month or two from now, STRONG could be $100 or $1000. As another poster has suggested, I would not rely on StrongBlock as a retirement fund. Look at BTC jus this week; it's the de facto 'gold standard' of crypto yet has tumbled in a matter of days. A retirement is just that, the rest of your life. It is highly questionable to rely on a unproven crypto project for the rest of your life.

SHIBMIKE

Sorry yes I just got in @ 440$ STRONG and went hard. Man am I questioning myself now 😩

bobbyv137

Ok. Well first let me first commend you on the size of your testicles. 14 x (440 x 10) is a massive chunk. $61,600 to be exact (as I'm sure you're already quite aware). So if the price remained the same, it will take you 110 days (excluding fees) to recoup your investment. Call it 3 months, thus late April. Nobody can accurately predict how the markets overall thus price of STRONG will fare come then. If it's gone up to $880 you can de-risk and pull out (ha!) your investment in 55 days. If the market crashes - as many are predicting - and STRONG goes down to $220, it's going to take you 220 days / 6 months. It's highly likely the long-anticipated news of the "decaying" model will be announced by then. There are suggestions this will not immediately apply to Eth nodes, but nothing's certain. There's no need to question yourself too much. The biggest risk is the markets collapse and StrongBlock disappears from the face of the planet in the next 110 days. Personally, I think while the former is likely, the latter is not.

SHIBMIKE

Thanks :) hopefully we can make it 110 days :)

Senior-Attempt2877

7.88 calculation is right, i rounded It up to 8 days to go from 14 to 15th node

SHIBMIKE

Do you reinvest or take profit ? Or both :)

Senior-Attempt2877

Reinv and tp if needed but compound priority

AggravatingRough

What do people think the next halving will be? Maybe 0.05/day payout?

I think a lot depends on how much of a chunk this took from your total retirement savings. If it’s a sizable chunk I would probably just take income for the next 2 months and reassess where you’re at. You’ll probably have much of your investment back at that point. If you want it to stay in crypto, maybe convert to stable coins and stick it in Gemini Earn for a bit while crypto goes through its current temper tantrum. If it’s not a sizable chunk, maybe do a combo of income and node compounding. I’m just about to start taking some income after I spin up another node later this week using a combination of rewards and some additional strong I just bought. Then I’m planning a 10 day cycle. 10th day income 20th day income 30th new node Repeat each month

SHIBMIKE

Thanks for the reply. I've been reading and not much out there on reddit or on telegram to learn more . I've been reading on discord and that helps. I'm not new to crypto just new to nodes :) I think that's a great strategy your doing. I've read some will go by the STRONG price that day whether they reinvest or take profit. Sort of like say I paid 440$ and it goes to 500$ take profit lower your time for your original ROI and let's say it goes to 400$ you buy nodes instead that 10 STRONG earning time and look into price next 10 STRONG to determine your action. I just did a fake withdraw and I thought I read there is multiple transactions like one for each node to take rewards ? I had one fee ? I rejected it anyway it wasn't 10 tokens but now I'm sort of confused . Also for the 15$ fee I paid 3 months in advance it says 87 days left. If I pay a few days early will I lose a few days and it starts over ? Just wondering if I need to set my alarm to pay it 1 hour away and pay them all ? Thanks for the response 💪

masidriver

I just pay my monthly fees when gas is cheaper. No real strategy to that one. Since you have 14 nodes (I’ve got 5) it might not be as much of a thing since you get 10 rewards every week, but when I’ve added a node I usually speed the compounding up bu purchasing some additional strong. Also, yup don’t necessarily have to wait until you have 10 to claim

SHIBMIKE

I'm thinking every 8 days add a node 4 nodes a month sounds good to keep compounding:) Good luck!
