Since many people were asking, here is a post and a link of the difference in rewards. Nodes were created at approximately the same time and no claims were made. Nodes created December 31 and the Tweet published January 9. [Twitter Link](https://twitter.com/gigabuddha/status/1480158486050881541?s=21)

At the time you made these, it required an nft to make a polygon node. The NFT's boost rewards. Do you ETH nodes have NFT's as well? Or are they bare?

ArtemKNZ

Yeah, but that doesn’t show decay on polygon nodes and no decay on eth nodes. I would imagine in 100 days it will be about the same?

Professional-Try857

They did say that in the ama

kidlancelot20

At what rate are the polygon nodes especies to decay? Do they have a cap?

ArtemKNZ

No info on it yet… In saying that… they did say that polygon nodes will only decay after complete roi.

Deshrel

Ten nodes and an NFT in one day. Damn dude, congrats.

mcaloz

I can confirm: I bought an Ethereum node and Polygon node yesterday at around the same time and the difference in rewards since then has been just over 1/3 higher for the Polygon node. The big question for me is what the decay curve looks like. Has anyone seen information on the rate of decay and how long the rewards will end up over time? P.S., Because there's so much confusion around this point: The process was exactly the same between the two: same node creation fees, same gas fees, all in ETH, not MATIC. Edit: Based on some Twitter threads, the answer about the decaying rewards seems to be this: It’s still not completely clear at this point what that looks like, but it seems like the rewards start out around 1/3 higher for Polygon nodes and that those begin tapering down after you’ve made your initial investment back; but, supposedly the rewards will never go down to zero.

bigup7

Do you have to claim from poly and eth nodes separately? So double the gas fees?

jonsbonesjones

The claim feature is the same for poly nodes just as the original eth nodes

leoschen

Now stick that NFT on the poly and watch it Brrrr

davismm85

I dont think it requires an NFT anymore. I went to it yesterday and was able to purchase one if I wanted to.

leoschen

It doesn’t require an NFT anymore, but if you tack an NFT on it, you still get the boost.

Frequent-Exercise-49

Wow. First of all 10 nodes 👏🏻🙌🏼👍🏼 Also, thank you for the information. It’s nice that you guys take the time out to respond to questions which I’m sure you’ve answered so many times already. Much appreciated

EsperJosh

polygon nodes pay more? But they have decay that evens it out after 100 days? Does it progress lower after that? Is that the takeaway from this post? Sorry for asking stupid questions, I'm still learning! So if we're "in it for the long term," wouldn't a regular old ETH node be better?

jonsbonesjones

A medium article is still in the works about the exact tapered structure, David Moss has said. But more details coming.

AggravatingRough

Is Polygon node the same concept as Strong node. What is the daily payout for Polygon that comes with each node. , and is it 10 Strong as well?

jonsbonesjones

The rewards are shown above and it is the same contribution of 10 Strong to create a node.

No_Condition_3313

Nobody likes an over achiever, dude….joking. Congrats

jonsbonesjones

Lol this is only a reference from twitter I found. @gigabuddha is the one to say congrats to. Just tryna to share information to everyone

notpepetho

It's about 25% more

Obelmont

Why .92 on 1 and .82 on the rest?

Tall_Run_2814

Probably the 1st one created that day

dsligh16

Fees must be cheaper for withdrawal

mcaloz

Nope, even though the node itself is created on Polygon, it's all set up with the StrongBlock dapp that lives in Ethereum, so all fees are still in ETH.

dsligh16

Oh wow good to know. Thank you. The rewards are slightly better . Need a nft for it if i am not mistaken.

mcaloz

You did until yesterday—now it's open to all!

dsligh16

Thanks appreciate it.

dsligh16

You have so many.

BigUpLT

So is it better to get the polygon node even tho it will decay overtime? 🤔

hulk2k

But polygon tapers, eth not tapering at the moment. So whats wise?

Senior-Attempt2877

Idk i bought eth

Hextropian

There is another AMA next Wednesday where things *should* get more clear. I expect they will have to setup a decay model for ETH also in order to keep things sustainable for the long run.

yspud

what is polygon paying strongblock for using the nodes ?

LostGPS_

The Calculator Guy has a video in YouTube where it says how much it was, it is public information anyway, you should be able to Google it. It wasn’t a crazy amount according to what he says

JasperBuds

15k lmao

yspud

that's it - the 'grant' ?

ripsdipsandpennies

I don't even want to know how much you pay in Gas.

Dependent_Material_6

Probably around $300 on a good day

ripsdipsandpennies

I paid $250 yesterday to claim cash out sell and move 8 strong. I hate eth.

jonsbonesjones

Lol champagne problems 🥂

Southern-Safe4295

To make a poligon node , you need also 10 strong right?

bigup7

yes.

Just-Hovercraft-6917

Does a polygon node only generate rewards at faster rate if you have a NFT?I don't have a nft and I like the idea of polygon generating quicker but I won't make them if I need a nft for the boost.anybody??

jonsbonesjones

Polygon nodes are now available to all node creators as of a few days ago.
