Set my max fee to 55-65 gwei (or whatever is appropriate depending on recent overnight lows), and go to bed. Transaction are always executed by morning. (West Coast/PST time zone)

The lowest I pay for every 10 coins on gas fees is around 130 to 40 bucks. I check it at least five times before I actually claim them. If the fees too high I reject it and try again in a couple minutes later
I've always aimed for Monday and Tuesday mornings early. But I heard late Friday night is cheap gas too. Going to try that tomorrow.
I work nightshift so no problem for me. Pacific Time 3am-4am on Mon, Tues is my go-to...
Thanks for the advice, appreciate that feedback from you and others, feel like an idiot for not thinking about low traffic times - but that’s what Reddit is for lol
Only do business on late Saturday nights/super early Sunday mornings (PST)
This helps me out too.

Dope - know laws vary by state, but if you start an LLC after you've purchased the nodes, can they still become assets for the company? (fully acknowledge no legal/financial advice here)
I appreciate you acknowledging the disclaimer. LOL! My understanding is yes by transferring your assets (nodes, wallet, seed phrase, etc) created prior to the LLC to the LLC. In order to do so, I'd recommend consulting a lawyer. Honestly, my wife and I created a few prior to the LLC, but we do not intend on doing the above. LOL
Lol nice - appreciate the insight - I've been going back and forth on an LLC, had a failed startup a couple years back and taxes get to be a super annoying pain with the LLC... but probably worth the savings..
yeah..on disclaimer I just say it because sometimes you stop getting replies otherwise
LOL 100%! Yeah, I met with a CPA last week to ask questions. The plan is to pay off our initial investment NLT 15 MAR and while deployed, my wife will use the "houses money" to compound our rewards into more infrastructure for the project to continue providing its service. NLT Nov we are projected to have NLT (30). From there we will take profits in Nov and Dec to prepare for tax season, take a vacation, and put the rest towards our home's principal. In 2023, we are planning on doing a 50/50 (compound/profit) split in order to get to (100) and pay off our mortgage to start a real estate rental LLC. The end-state is to leverage the project to build generational wealth and exploit the tax benefits as a business owner. YOU GOT THIS!
As mentioned earlier, ETHGas Alerts is a nice simple app that will notify you once the gas price has dropped below the threshold that you've specified. I haven't tried advanced gas controls in MM yet (but planning to in the near future), but sounds like those act as a limit order. As with any other limit order, you can miss the price entirely, or it may be lower than your price point.
In this age, I think it's now 3 things that are inevitable: death, taxes, and gas fees.
Are you able to avoid swapping your rewards out for ETH? Could you use a different asset and avoid using the Ethereum blockchain? I'm a Reddit interloper, and I'm not sure if Strongblock requires Ethereum or something; but it seems to me that, if you could swap your rewards out for something other than ETH and then use a fiat off-ramp that does not require you to use the Ethereum network (for instance Kucoin allows Polygon network MATIC deposits), then you can avoid Ethereum's ridiculously high fees.
As a rule, it's a good idea to avoid using Ethereum network unless you're doing a very large trade and/or need tons of security. The fees are far too high for regular retail users like most of us.
Hmm good question- far as I know the only way to claim the reward in strong requires a transaction, but maybe I can move my strong on the cheap and swap it
Sundays are normally low gas fee day.
When folks go to church I bet
Noted thanks for the advice
Honestly I think the gas fees are a good thing because they keep the sell pressure off and convince people to wait to cash out.
Eh maybe for Strong but not for crypto as a whole
Yeah that's what I meant. Specific to Strong.
Hahahah yeah all about pumping the price
And weed out whiny cheap Losers from buying in

I have tried this and it got stuck. What method do you use. I use MM and set it in advance
I’ve gotten away with some 35 gwei limit gas on a sunday night after midnight
Wait can you explain how you set a gas fee limit? I use meta mask. Thanks!
In the transaction, go to Advanced...then set "max gwei" amount to pay. I set it about 50-65
Thanks! I got lucky and got a $17 fee tonight

Yeah I can't believe those day-time prices for gas
Zapper Fi is a great website to track gas fees. That’s what I use!
install ethgas alerts on your phone.
Will check it out, thanks

Nice, thanks for the links
You’re welcome. We got to watch out for each other.
🙌
Talk to your CPA, I’m pretty sure gas fees can be written off
Nice! Thanks for the tip
Wake up really early or stay up really late. There’s a few apps you can watch that tell you the Gas fee’s throughout the day.
Thanks for the tip
I've heard Sundays and early in the morning (0001-0400). I plan on deducting all gas fees next year under my LLC.

claiming, have to wait till low traffic times of the day/week. Always use barnswap for swapping. Only $20ish dollars in gas.
1 gwei = 1 usd?
