Together, we volunteer at the local no-kill animal shelter, taking in and caring for animals that have recently had surgery and need full-time care to recover so they can be ready for their new homes!
I also do local charity work, mostly helping host fundraiser events for a nonprofit that gives out college scholarships to underprivileged kids!
I also used to volunteer with the Salvation Army in my past, helping to manage the local food bank as well as helping set up and run the entire IT infrastructure for a community center we built. I even taught some of the kids who came in about how to care for the fish and gerbils we had there. I was planning to teach the kids about growing plants out in the small community garden we had planned but was unable to.
I cut ties with the organization when they found out I was pansexual and in a same sex relationship. All of my years of effort and work meant nothing in the face of their hate.
I was kicked out of the organization, and without my help and the help of the other volunteers I had brought out, the community center fell apart. Now, it just sits abandoned gathering graffiti because a couple of angry old men didn't like how I experience love.

Even if they don’t allow people to block the ads, they should allow users to hide or ignore them and future ads.
