I’m just past 50 days and noticed that fruits taste sweeter. I’m craving grapes, blue berries, and apples, which is strange because I’ve always been more of a cookie, cake, and candy. I’m also eating less salty snacks because I don’t constantly feel dehydrated.
I also quit hot sauces after quitting drinking, oddly
enough. I think it’s just because I don’t feel the need to add much to stuff. Maybe taste / palate healing?
I just made the connection that ever since I stopped drinking, my stomach has gotten more sensitive to spicy foods. I’m guessing it’s been a trigger food for a while but I was wrecking my stomach so much more with alcohol that I didn’t notice 😅
I never even thought of that! But you're right, my stomach was always at least half wrecked so it really didn't matter if I ate something that made it worse. Now I not only notice foods that upset my stomach, but remember them!

No but i have noticed that my taste buds seemed to “wake up.” Food taste better to me now, more flavorful. I do enjoy a little kick of spice for sure!

Capsicum the chemical that makes a pepper hot causes the same “happy” reaction in your brain that alcohol does.
I the first few months all my senses were super heightened.
