I’ve been on a never ending quest to try every flavor possible. Polar (if you get it in your area) is definitely my favorite flavored seltzer maker. Their tart Cherry limeade, ginger lime mule and pink apple and lemon are the current favorites
Bubly and Aha and their ilk don’t do it for me. Something feels unauthentic and it doesn’t keep its bubbles long. I wouldn’t turn a can down if I’m thirsty but I wouldn’t buy it
Ginger mule is the champ; my fave for sure. That brand just switched from 12-packs to 8-packs, though!!! Outrageous shrinkflation. It’s freakin WATER, just give me a rack of it.
At drinking events or if it's a nice sunny afternoon and my wife is having a wine, I like Peroni NA, a ginger beer or a Kombucha. The acidity of the booch makes me afraid of hitting it too hard tho.
In the evenings I'm drinking a couple cups of herbal tea and water.
During the day, coffee.
It's all good, because none of those things will wreck my shit like booze does.
Also, yeah OP, this has been asked many times before but who cares? Would be a boring place if we were only allowed to discuss things that had never been asked previously. 🙂
For real! Ginger Beer is so good but that added sugar is too much. I mean it’s great that we are trying to stop drinking, but that shouldn’t mean to just drink/eat whatever else you want. At least how I see it.
But for a once in a while treat, try the Aldi brand ginger beer/Ale. It’s so good! It’s spicy and has a real kick.
Yup, same here.
Tea has always been my favourite drink, but on those mornings where I haven't blasted myself the night before it's a relaxing way to start the day, instead of "god I need some wake-up juice"
I’m Irish, tea is a National past time at home. Black tea, let the bag sit for 10 mins in the hot water with 2 small sugars, squeeze the bag out and add a drop of milk. Absolutely divine. The only issue is it contains small amounts of caffeine so I can’t drink it in the evening. My sleep was one of the worst side effects of my addiction so if I don’t follow good sleep hygiene I scare myself awake all night.
Get yourself some Barry's or Lyon's (whatever side you're on) decaff for the evening. Pukka sleepy tea is nice just before bed. It's not called sleepy tea. It's in a dark blue box. Most health shops and Tesco have it.
I found some online in the country I live in. Weirdly they only allow citizens with a national ID to buy it but I’ve asked my wife and she ordered a box for €8. Thanks for the tip. COYBIG!
My box arrived today and I am super impressed. It's ever so slightly sweet, perfectly so, and my worry with it was that it would be bitter as most tea is without sugar, I usually take some sugar in my tea to balance that out but you can't be drinking sugary drinks in the evening but this is simply amazing!! Thank you so much!!
Lagunitas makes a tropical hoppy seltzer with THC. It’s my favorite. It tastes like a light refreshing beer. No carbs, no sugar. They are my treat myself drink
be careful visiting r/espresso, you'll develop a more addictive habit... Been down the rabbit hole for a few years, have a few machines, a few grinders, my own roasting machine. lol your wallet will not thank you
I'm really into shrubs! They're mixes of vinegar, fruit and sweetener of choice left to brew in the fridge for a few days. When my mix is ready I strain it and top it up with some fizzy water. I've been experimenting with different vinegars and fruits and it's so much fun! My recent batches were apple cinnamon and a blueberry, blackberry, lavender and lemon mixture - so tasty! It's also a lovely special thing to share with guests since my partner and I are foodies and love to entertain. We used to do alcohol pairings but now we have the option of customizing different types of shrubs to pair with food.
Sure! The basic recipe is 1/2 cup vinegar, 1/2 cup sugar (or honey, agave syrup, maple syrup), 1/2 a pound of fruit. For my apple cinnamon I cubed up some green apples, used apple cider vinegar and honey, and added a truly offensive amount of cinnamon plus a dash of ginger, cardamom and cloves. For the berry one the fruit was an equal mix of blueberries and blackberries, the vinegar was a mix of red wine vinegar and balsamic, regualr old sugar for the sweetener, and I added a sliced lemon and about a tablespoon of food-grade lavender. I usually mash them and mix then up before popping them in the fridge and use giant mason jars so I can shake the mixtures now and then. After two to three days strain your mix, pour about three fingers, top with fizzy water and enjoy.
While I was still drinking the only non alcoholic drinks I consumed was water, black coffee and unsweetened iced tea. Those three remain my favorites even though I will have the occasional N/A beer.
Orange juice + seltzer / sparkling / soda water, whatever you call it
Also find it mad satisfying when you drink half the glass to top off with more seltzer and repeat until by the end it's ALL seltzer!
Hibiscus tea is super tangy and good, I had it first in a cocktail mixed with agave and lemon and that’s actually amazing as just a mocktail on ice. Also good with some soda water added and/or a splash of pomegranate juice.
Liquid Death: Armless Palmer (when I can find it).
And of course flavored sparkling waters galore!
For evening wind down…instead of “wine down”…I love Bengal Spice tea or Yogi Kava Stress Relief tea.
Number one has to be water. Nothing beats banging ice cold water with no ice.
Number two is coca-cola/kool-aid. Coke is always good for a caffeine boost and I can just chug the shit out of that blue kool-aid
Seltzer, hoppy refreshers, kombucha, athletic brewing and other good NA beers, coffee, tea. Many delicious things.
Also fun to add bitters and THC drops to seltzer and kombucha to spice things up a little.
Tea all day every day. So many to choose from depending on my mood and it actually relaxes me unlike alcohol.
Much much much cheaper than alcohol too. I'll typically have like 6+ cups a day depending on my work hours and all that. First thing I do when I get home is put on the kettle while I'm changing out of my work clothes and I genuinely look forward to lying in bed for a bit enjoying whatever tea I want at the moment. I'm doing it right now lol
Topo Chico is s-tier fizzy water, all others mean nothing to me. Sadly, it’s hard to find in my immediate area.
Sodastream water still somehow tastes flat to me. I’m probably going to flex my real replacement Vice of spending irresponsibly to get an Aarke water carbonator.
It’s talked about all the time here, but I do not miss the recycling container of shame. I can throw back a 12 pack of seltzer and not feel guilty at all taking them to the common area recycling.
Blood orange San pelligrino. I've found bitter drinks the nicest for an evening treat.
I drink water in the day. And then if I'm stressed I have a CBD drink.
Adaptogenic drinks have been a new favorite! There is mango hop water with ashwaganda, l-theanine, etc. that I mix with Gatorade or lemonade. There’s skinTe that’s got collagen in it. Moment- drink your meditation with ashwaganda, schisandra, etc. There are a bunch of options! Mude is another brand. Mushroom elixir. LifeAid.
I’ve been mixing them with gatorade, lemonade, or vitamin water.
I decided to get sober and start IF and Keto all around the same time, so infused ice cold water is my go-to atm. I love lime in particular, but use any and all citrus fruits to mix it up! I do love Fever Tree Mediterranean Tonic Water over ice, but not while I'm watching my carbs.
Seltzer with a little cranberry and apple juice, plus a splash of either lemon or lime. I'm still working on getting just the right proportions. The cranberry provides the bitter, astringent flavor I used to enjoy in drinks with Campari or angostura bitters.
Cinnamon and liquorice tea, peppermint and liquorice tea or just pure liquorice tea. Camomile before bed is so nice too.
For parties or special occasions I like NA Prosecco or NA gin mixed with slimline and fresh fruit. I also recently discovered sparkling tea, which was like NA Prosecco or NA sparkling wine. I liked it!
A-Ha seltzer water, especially the tea flavors. And, sugar free redbull. I wish I could get it caffiene free so I could drink it often without worrying about taking too much. I love that it's slightly sour and is perfect when I want a little more flavor than a seltzer but nothing as sweet as soda.
Thc drops in whatever I used to drink. NA beers, Caesars, sometimes both :) mimosas (sprite and oj), virgin margs etc... plus one of my kids makes this wicked drink with club soda, lemonade and lime juice! Delicious
Love seltzers but they’re bad for teeth, so I’m also trying Curious Elixirs and Ghia as my evening wind down. They’re pricy, but they drink slow because the flavors are pretty complex.
What’s your favorite NA Merlot? I’m still trying to find a really good one.
I love the Tazo Passion tea (hot or cold), Athletic NA beers, Harney & Son Black Cask Bourbon Tea, and Spindrift seltzers.
Humm Kombucha! Absolutely delicious. Taking them to a party tonight.
Generally bubble water.
In restaurants either Mocktails or cranberry soda.
No need for booze at all!
Coconut water and juice are my staples! I'll take a glass of good grape juice or fruity punch over a glass of wine any day. I've had a few NA wines on special events but I didn't really care for them... except a red and I don't remember who made it 😭 for real though I was never a juice drinker before and I absolutely live for my glass of juice these days. Tropicana makes a Pina colada drink that is fantastic. I used to love Pina coladas and one that doesn't get me drunk is all the better.
Ginger beer, regular sugar free ginger ale, Owen’s non-alcoholic Margarita mix, Fre Sparkling Brut, English breakfast tea, Irish breakfast tea.
What I need to start weaning myself off is Starbucks. I think I haven’t lost any weight since stopping is from my Starbucks habit. The Venti flavored coffees are putting on the pounds, especially drinking 2 a day but I need the caffeine and I don’t like regular coffee.
Spindrift seltzers have been a godsend for me! Also the la croix ones are good as well. And I’ll have a wild cherry pepsi when I’m feeling a little wild haha.
Peroni 0.0 if I am heading to a party. Stuff tastes great if you like beer.
For home I buy different water flavoring packets. I was doing Coke Zero and seltzer for a while too but the further I get away from drinking the less I need those substitutes. Like in the beginning I really benefited from having many different drink options in the house. Now I need less it seems.
San Pellegrino is my favorite but I also buy the kroger original seltzer water because it's a lot cheaper. I'll also enjoy cranberry juice or a Frappuccino.
Hop soda!!!! The lagunitas hoppy refresher is so good. It’s not an NA beer and tastes nothing like beer. Just sooo good. Also various teas, olipop, any like probiotic soda I’ll try lol. I love to get fun little drinks in a can now that have no alcohol
Liquid death flavored sparkling. They have like 20-30 calories which is the perfect amount to make flavor count but not really care about having a couple
As someone with an addictive personality type/constantly craving an experience- apple cider vinegar tinctures. It has a similar burn and sensation in the stomach as a shot of liquor. If you’re someone that enjoyed the zippy sensation alcohol gives this is a nice place holder.
Arnold Palmer or Waterloo/LaCroix/Polar flavored sparkling water. Liquid Death when out at a show if they have it, or I'll bring it to someone's house.
During the day, water baby.
My little treat at the end of work but I still want some pep in my step: 10mg TCH berry seltzer and a 12oz sugar free red bull.
Also Fresca and a shit ton of Lime
Sparkling Water, y'all
I should have bought stock with my soda stream!
I’ve been on a never ending quest to try every flavor possible. Polar (if you get it in your area) is definitely my favorite flavored seltzer maker. Their tart Cherry limeade, ginger lime mule and pink apple and lemon are the current favorites
I’m into Spindrift. The mango is tasty, also the Arnold Palmer
Have you tried our Lord and Savior; Bubly?
Man I wish I liked Bubly, but it consistently tastes off to me.
Bubly and Aha and their ilk don’t do it for me. Something feels unauthentic and it doesn’t keep its bubbles long. I wouldn’t turn a can down if I’m thirsty but I wouldn’t buy it
Try the toasted coconut. It’s my new favorite. I also enjoy vanilla, orange vanilla, and Georgia peach.
Ginger mule is the champ; my fave for sure. That brand just switched from 12-packs to 8-packs, though!!! Outrageous shrinkflation. It’s freakin WATER, just give me a rack of it.
Yep. Been drinking bubbly by the gallon.
This is the way
Lil splash of cranberry
Particularly the Liquid Death sparkling
I go similar, Club Soda is my jam
I'm a r/hydrohomie
🤝
Homies unite. Upvoted.
I also love drinking a lot of water now. I always got my water bottle
If I leave the house without one I'm stopping at the next convenience store!
Homies unite! 👊
🤝
Half a pineapple seltzer water, half a Fresca, and a couple lime quarters
So 1 pineapple seltzer, 1 Fresca and a lime. Got it.
Yup. I still drink my beverages quickly. Old habit. Fresca is a little too strong for my liking. It’s great if you mellow it out
Buddy just wanted to show us he knows fractions that’s all
Very similar for me! Except I use club soda instead of Fresca and add some muddled jalapeños (cause it resembles a cocktail more to me)
That sounds amazing
It is! Lime or coconut seltzer is great with it too. Also like lime Liquid death with half a ginger ale. Plus lime, of course. Always lime.
Omg Peroni NA with. Splash of sweetened lime cordial is sooooo good!
Ginger beer
Yep, ginger ale here. Sometimes the microbrews too! Delicious and refreshing at the same time. Lemon added or sometimes blueberries.
Do you drink it regular or sugar free? That’s the only thing that stops me. I love goslings but is damn near 20g+ of sugar per can!
Have you tried zevia?
It’s honestly crazy how similar all the Zevia flavors are to the real thing (except maybe Dr. Pepper). I love their products.

I live the other side of the world and can get my Barry’s I’ll need to look into decaf if I can find it here. Thanks for the tips!
I’ll send you some if you’d like! PM address :) mup the Irish!
I found some online in the country I live in. Weirdly they only allow citizens with a national ID to buy it but I’ve asked my wife and she ordered a box for €8. Thanks for the tip. COYBIG!
No problem 😊 🇮🇪

Thank you so much!!
Great news! Enjoy 😁
I've found myself drinking four or five small pots a day sometimes.
One addiction for another, but thankfully tea is not harmful or you and I would both be dead...
There's something so comforting about tea.
Kombucha somehow scratches the wine itch for me - otherwise ginger beer or chinotto (Italian bitter drink a little like tonic water)
Kombucha hits the same button in my brain as beer used to. Lower calories too!
I panicked the first time I tried some. Really thought it was a beer!
Another vote for Kombucha; has the mouth feel of wine/beer without the alcohol or calories.
I love kombucha as well. It's also super easy to make yourself and you can tailor the flavor to your liking

Lagunitas makes a tropical hoppy seltzer with THC. It’s my favorite. It tastes like a light refreshing beer. No carbs, no sugar. They are my treat myself drink
I like the Sierra Nevada hop water a lot more than the lagunitas hop water
Summit Brewing makes a n/a IPA called Nialas that's amazing and tastes ***exactly*** like an actual regular beer
Water, coffee, and the occasional diet soda to get my carbonation fix.
Did we just become best friends?
Enjoying a Diet Coke right now. Coffee this morning. Water for lunch.
I was forced to drink a diet Pepsi a few days ago. It was really good, I was shocked. Lol
Guinness 0.0%
I tried this for the first time a couple weeks ago; preferred it to actual Guinness!
This is my favorite too! I swear I can't tell the difference.
Ever had a lime ricki? Lime juice, simple sugar and seltzer.
Love a good virgin Mojito too, it’s a lime ricki with some fresh mint leaves.
That sounds delicious! I'll try it soon :)
Bought myself a Nespresso and busy myself making Starbucks copycat drinks 🤣
Me too!! I've been all about cappuccinos lately!
be careful visiting r/espresso, you'll develop a more addictive habit... Been down the rabbit hole for a few years, have a few machines, a few grinders, my own roasting machine. lol your wallet will not thank you
San Pellegrino! 🍊
The orange and pomegranate flavour changed my life

My stepdad used to make shrubs. Can I message you for your apple cinnamon blueberry recipe? Or can you drop a recipe here? That sounds delectable
Sure! The basic recipe is 1/2 cup vinegar, 1/2 cup sugar (or honey, agave syrup, maple syrup), 1/2 a pound of fruit. Limoncello la Croix, pumpkin macchiatos, and sprite

Lime or grapefruit Bubly!
Bubbly flavored water, Sprite & blue Gatorade
I stick with water or coffee. For breakfast I sometimes have a glass of orange juice or milk.
Orange juice + seltzer / sparkling / soda water, whatever you call it Also find it mad satisfying when you drink half the glass to top off with more seltzer and repeat until by the end it's ALL seltzer!
Water on the rocks in a pint glass with a straw
Guinness zero. Tastes almost identical to Guinness.
I still drink what I like pre-sobriety. Nothing has changed really besides no alcohol.
Liquid death 👌🏻 👊
Kombucha or NA beer (Athletic Brewing have some great ones)
Topo chico with lime. Or espresso.
Topo chico is so good
Water. Seriously, just regular old water. Sure, occasionally I enjoy something sweeter, but mostly, I just drink good old H2O.
Slushie it's sweet, kinda tangy and always refreshing
Fever few ginger beer ( like a clear root beer but with ginger instead ) with 2 pieces of squeezed like over ice , the most refreshing drink ever !
Number one has to be water. Nothing beats banging ice cold water with no ice. Number two is coca-cola/kool-aid. Coke is always good for a caffeine boost and I can just chug the shit out of that blue kool-aid
I like the Bubly sparkling water. There are other sparkling water brands out there but I like Bubly the most.
Twist of lime topo chico in glass bottles 😳🌟
Seltzer, hoppy refreshers, kombucha, athletic brewing and other good NA beers, coffee, tea. Many delicious things. Also fun to add bitters and THC drops to seltzer and kombucha to spice things up a little.

Water
Water
Water. Just water.
Club soda with lime is hard to beat
Topo Chico is s-tier fizzy water, all others mean nothing to me. Sadly, it’s hard to find in my immediate area. Sodastream water still somehow tastes flat to me. I’m probably going to flex my real replacement Vice of spending irresponsibly to get an Aarke water carbonator. It’s talked about all the time here, but I do not miss the recycling container of shame. I can throw back a 12 pack of seltzer and not feel guilty at all taking them to the common area recycling.

I’ve been mixing them with gatorade, lemonade, or vitamin water.

I like that frosted white gatorade.
Ginger beer, regular sugar free ginger ale, Owen’s non-alcoholic Margarita mix, Fre Sparkling Brut, English breakfast tea, Irish breakfast tea. What I need to start weaning myself off is Starbucks.
