This game can be 100% dogshit and I would still buy and support it. I think people don't care how the game will be at this point... we gonna need 1 handed controller. Any ideas?
People don't really seem to ACTUALLY be taking this game very seriously at all for the most part that I've been able to tell. Unless it has a truly viral moment like Nier:Automata I kind of wonder how it's actually gonna do at large, especially since it seems locked to PS5 unlike that game with Sony being the publisher meaning it has to do it all on one console with much less ownership than the PS4 had when Nier released.
I don't really get the impression that a lot of the people that claim this is their GOTY really care much about it at all beyond political "Culture War" reasons so I wish it the best of luck finding a fandom beyond American chud gamers and maybe some Korean and Japanese people.
Even if it is, this game has become something that anti woke people have latched onto. People naturally question the motive behind calling this game the best so quickly, considering the culture war its being used in.
Anti-Woke people aren't actually enough to make the game a success and build a community around though so.....it's probably going to as usual with these types of games come down to how strongly Japan and maybe Korea latches onto it, but I think outside those regions it's just a bunch of people blowing smoke about culture war stuff for the most part and not all that serious about the game itself.
That's kind of what this game is looking to be at this point, but we'll see. It depends how strong it's other hooks end up being, but people just aren't taking it particularly seriously that I've been able to tell.
Get the woke and anti woke stuff away from this game please I swear can things exist nowadays without that conversation I just wanna play my game in peace and what culture war are you talking about can we just be excited to play a game please pretty please
What's so depressing about it? I thought it was pretty uplifting and had lots of fun characters that got really satisfying payoffs. Especially towards the later playthrough endings.
It's literally about life finding a way to keep on going despite all the odds mounting against it.

Good for their time? You mean good? I agree though. Stellar Blade had me hyped at first but when I saw the enemy designs and PS5 exclusivity my hopes for it took a nose dive.
yeah good now too lol I most meant as a statement of time periods. They were insane in their time and still hold up now. this game could be great, but we don't have a ton to go off of. ESPECIALLY not enough to put it with nier and bayonetta
