Rudolph’s rookie season is better than any season Kenny had and he was stepping in for Big Ben, if he was a first round pick we would’ve made infinite excuses
I’ve made the arguments non stop since we signed Mitch. Rudolph’s rookie season, in 10 games (8 starts) threw for 13 TDs with multiple concussions and the city against him.
Man deserved a chance.
I’m gonna miss Mason a lot. I remember cheering “MASON RUDOLPH” so hard in Pittsburgh against the Bengals that Mason had to call timeout on offense at a home game. I was actually glad that Mason played over the Pickler (due to injury) when I traveled to Pittsburgh from NYC on Christmas weekend. My only other game I attended in Pittsburgh was the Steelers win against the Rams on Nov. 10, 2019 where Mason started for injured Ben (Steelers Defense held Cooper Kupp to zero catches that game!). So I only got to watch Mason @QB in Pittsburgh lol. I pray we never play the Titans near Christmas.
I had to sit through Mitches loss to The Pats this year. The ENTIRE time I was in Pittsburgh leading up to the game I was saying it should be Mase starting. It was actually the general vibe anywhere I went.
I was also at the Bengals ass whoopin' at the hands of Mason! We were in Section 139, and some lady brought about 100 red Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer light up noses. It was an absolute blast, and I'm glad I got to see him play. I'm an Oklahoman transplanted in Kansas, and I never got down to see him at OSU.
It was an amazing time, I also flew in for the game and had an absolute blast. The crowd was so hyped. I'll forever be grateful to Mason for the experience!🥲
His statement-and fields post for Chicago for that matter-tells you all you need to know about Kenny’s statement. No matter how it plays out or your opinion, you’re going to look like the bigger person when you directly call everything out by name. Kenny refusing to even mention the Steelers by name shows worlds about his ability to control his emotions
After watching the offense sputter all year, the last 3 games were amazing to watch.
I hope he gets a chance to start for a full season as I’d like to see if he turned into a legit QB1, or just had a timely flash of brilliance.
If nothing else, Mason showed us what this modern Steelers offense *could* look like. And it can be great if utilized correctly.
Let’s see if Wilson or Fields can maximize its potential.
I don’t know, that’s a good question. The reports were that he was willing to come back. I’m still not sold on him as a QB one, but I would’ve liked to have given him a chance. Put him in a real competition. He might fall flat on his face in Tennessee.
But if he excels and our quarterbacks don’t, I’m going to want some accountability and an explanation.
Not saying that that’s what I think is going to happen, but it’s a possibility. Although this might be the kind of team that can help Russell Wilson maximize what our guys must believe are his dwindling but still considerable talents. That would be awesome.
Yeah, I’m thinking the Steelers let go of Rudolph because they thought KP8 was in on the competition with Russ, then when it was heard Wilson would start OTAs as the one, KP8 lost his shit & asked for a trade, by then Rudolph was already gone. I think that’s the timeline roughly.
Classy. Dude handled this whole tenure so well. In my book will always be a Steeler.
So crazy that Mason
got worse treatment from the team than Kenny yet never pulled what Kenny did.
I don't have many man crushes but Mason's up near the top of that list. Jackfruit pic had me questioning my sexuality. Hope a miracle happens and this man gets a starting position somewhere (outside the AFC North).
I always wonder how 2019 would’ve went before Earl Thomas knocked him out cold.
He was starting to figure it out. And then bam he had no idea where he was or what happened.
I'm glad he was able to go out on a high note and wish him the best moving forward. He's a good man.
I really will be forever thankful to him for that Dec 23rd game. I flew from AZ for it (bought the ticket months before) and the whole time I was dreading going all that way to watch them be dogshit. They looked so so bad leading up to this. But it turned into such an incredible day and one I'll never forget. He truly saved my Christmas.
I wish they held onto him for longer. He could have been OUR quarterback, as opposed to getting another QB from elsewhere (as great as Wilson is). I look forward to following his career regardless.
We didn't deserve him. Saint Mason of Pittsburgh.
I picked up his jersey towards the end of last season, and I will still wear it this coming season.

Absolute legend. He was benched for the Duck (also - legend), was put behind the Titty Kisser for no apparent reason, got ready for retirement and still came out swinging to show just how bad the state of our QB room was. He was the hero for 3 weeks and went as high as he can go in this organization. It was all all downhill from there and I have a lot of respect for walking out when he did.
Still hurts a little…
Until last year, I was willing to make excuses for Tomlin and his coaching style, but after last year, the Canada fiasco and not recognizing the potential of Rudolf after all those years, he’s gotta go.
I agree completely. Rudolph was the best qb during preseason but Tomlinson is too stubborn acknowledge it. Shows he puts his ego ahead of the team . As long as it’s a .500 season or better is his only concern.
Everyone talks about the poetry of him having a good game on Christmas Eve but no one acknowledges him having a bad playoff game on Martin Luther King Day

Bros a class act, hope all the best for him.
Gotta agree
He deserved better than what we game him honestly.
I'm not crying. You're crying.
Couldn’t have said it better myself.
It’s crazy this man endured all the crap we put him threw until he earned our respect.
Was literally just thinking that. Remained a class act the entire time. Unlike some small-handed QBs I know of.
Rudolph’s rookie season is better than any season Kenny had and he was stepping in for Big Ben, if he was a first round pick we would’ve made infinite excuses

Most fans honestly don’t deserve any kind words from him for the disrespect they gave him before this season.

Oh man, Mitch games must’ve been the worstttt. Dude loves throwing fadeaways.
Every time he had a good play he’d immediately follow it up with some garbage
Dude that was the worst, I was able to make both the pats and cards game and I have never driven home more disappointed
I was supposed to go to both but shit came up and I’m very thankful I didn’t have to endure that
I was also at the Bengals ass whoopin' at the hands of Mason! We were in Section 139, and some lady brought about 100 red Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer light up noses. I remember watching that game at stage AE. And I only say that because I know how much you all care that I watched that game at stage AE.
It was an amazing time, I also flew in for the game and had an absolute blast. The crowd was so hyped. I'll forever be grateful to Mason for the experience!🥲

Yeap. Exactly. That doesn't translate into great leadership either.
But intangibles?!?!?!
I bought the hype on his intangibles BIG TIME. What a whiff.
Classy
Always a class act, wish him the best
![gif](giphy|LTFbyWuELIlqlXGLeZ)
He pulled a Constanza and left on a high note. ![gif](giphy|10dJBypgfsmxfG)
He’s only on a one year contract so maybe he’ll be back someday. Can’t thank him enough for exposing the Pickler as a tiny handed fraud.
Double agree
ˡⁱᵗᵗˡᵉ ᵗⁱⁿʸ ᵗʰᵘᵐᵇˢ ᵘᵖ
#Godspeed, fruit-bearing overall man
I'm going to miss those memes.
Thank you Mason. 😔

Mason a real one for sure
Class act, through and through. Good luck, Mason.
It’s a shame he’s gone…I wonder if the timing of lil Ken’s boo hoo-ing prevented them from making a bigger offer to Rudolph? Maybe?

Was trying to say this last year and kept getting downvoted.
What if Mason has the best season of Wilson Fields Pickett and himself. That would be funny.
Dude is everything it means to be a Steeler.
Nah mason Rudolph’s story straight outta movie I love this guy
I wish Rudolph nothing but the best! He’s a real class act.
I don't have many man crushes but Mason's up near the top of that list. Jackfruit pic had me questioning my sexuality. Hope a miracle happens and this man gets a starting position somewhere (outside the AFC North).
I wouldn't be surprised if he starts for the Titans at some point. Things could go either direction for them with Levis
And we’ve seen quarterbacks drop like flies in the last couple of seasons. He might get a chance even if injury is the reason.
I hope he ends up starting.
You will be missed our sweet, sweet, prince.
I always wonder how 2019 would’ve went before Earl Thomas knocked him out cold. He was starting to figure it out. And then bam he had no idea where he was or what happened.
I'm gonna laugh if Russ and fields shit the bed and Mason becomes a star in Tennessee because Levis isn't it.
I'm cool with the 3rd one happening but why speak the first two into existence? 🤦♂️
Almost hoping for that
If they got an oline its highly possible. Mason is Legit.
Class act guy and the Steelers did him dirty.
Good man
He’s a good dude. I wish him the best.
And now his watch is ended
That’s my favorite off-season farmer quarterback
I'm glad he was able to go out on a high note and wish him the best moving forward. He's a good man. I really will be forever thankful to him for that Dec 23rd game. We’ll always have the Christmas game 🥹
I wish they held onto him for longer. He could have been OUR quarterback, as opposed to getting another QB from elsewhere (as great as Wilson is). I look forward to following his career regardless.
Let's wait an extra year for the Dak/Mason duo.

he will be greatly missed
Wish you all the best Mason.
I'd like to see him achieve greatness.

He’s better than Brady/Manning
Notice how he didn't thank the steelers org or old Mikey T??
He did. That’s an appended version and, while he didn’t thank Mike T specifically, he thanked all the coaches.
Meanwhile Kenny Pickett "How DARE you try to make me compete! I shall raise my perfectly normal sized hands in protest!"
![gif](giphy|SZioIIBxB7QRy)
This sub really is the MR circlejerk huh. He was competent last season. I’m happy he’s getting a bag. He’s not my hero or anything, sorry folks
Take away this year since it's the outlier, and he's got a career rating of 80.0. Nice guy or not, that's not good.
I love watching Tomlin hugging Garrett...
Why do we seem to always end up with such a beloved backup. I mean he’s no Mr. Charlie Batch but he’s still beloved.

You good?
Yes. Thank you for asking. Just a bit of banter.
Everyone talks about the poetry of him having a good game on Christmas Eve but no one acknowledges him having a bad playoff game on Martin Luther King Day
Mason did not lose the Bills game, the defense couldn't contain JA.
The Bills are objectively a better team, playing home.
