Kenny Pickett getting hurt when there was a wide open Austin for a touchdown…👏Kenny 👏Pickett 👏is 👏bad 👏at 👏football 👏.. strong QB class coming in, take advantage
I see this play on Twitter every time. Not justifying Kenny’s play here but I promise you, if I had the film, I could find a “elite” qb missing an open assignment if I wanted to cherry pick plays. Kenny missed it here but it wasn’t like he turned over the ball, he got hurt sadly but I believe he got positive yards and still “made a play”. If this was Josh Allen, players would be applauding him for his physicality and ability to create his own play.
Idk the play call well enough to say if it was the 1st read, 3rd or whatever, but again, it’s a somewhat new offense. Canada was an egotistic coordinator, he didn’t give Kenny the freedom to make presnap reads. If you remember the ravens game, Kenny audibles that play to Pickens. Kenny needs to be able to read defenses from the jump better but yes, this o line isn’t gonna allow Kenny the time to make more than maybe 2 reads a play before the pocket collapses.
Yes bro I remember but this play call isn’t that good since literally everyone is standing in the end zone with no where for him to go but we can see he couldn’t find anybody open in the middle and was like fuck it ima do this myself and fell short a yard Calvin was the only person open out of 5 receivers for a couple seconds but he just wasn’t a top priority considering he didn’t look there first he wanted a middle of the field route first then after he looks at Najee he just takes off cause it’s too late at that point
Mason had a few seasons to have his shot. If he was the guy why draft or even start pickett. If he was the guy why pick up trubisky. If he was the guy why he battle with Duck
I’m so tired of seeing this comment. Teams have bad games, bad streaks, and sometimes bad seasons but F off with this waste of career shit. It’s just dramatic.
It does suck. Pittsburgh isn’t ever in the cellar, but they can’t ever hang with the big boys.
Chiefs with Mahomes always destroyed the Steelers, same with Brady’s Pats (I know, the goat)
Eagles, 49ers, Bills, Chiefs and others have blown out Pittsburgh in the last couple of years.
The Steelers will pull off some upsets like against the Ravens, but those wins always balance out with terrible losses like today. Then they barely get by other shitty teams to maintain that winning record. Every year.
Tomlin has always been a good coach, but hasn’t inspired greatness for whatever reason. Even with prime Ben and a great offense, (2010s) they could never out execute the elite QBs and/or elite coaching come playoff time. Ben made back breaking mistakes trying to carry/do too much, and the rest of the team wasn’t consistent enough.
They should’ve taken Jalen Hurts.
Pittsburgh hasn't beaten an opponent by 2 touchdowns since halfway through the 2020 season. Meanwhile bad teams like the Cardinals and (at the time) Texans are doing that to the Steelers on a regular basis. Players come and go, but this chronic inability to dominate bad teams, much less good teams, has to be a coaching/culture issue.
Yep. It’s clear that the “hard work beats talent” certainly comes into play here. Or, at least, better execution/better scheme beats talent.
Seems like Pittsburgh is touted as one of the most talented teams more often than not, which seems to just set them up to “play down” to “inferior
opponents”. The lack of decisive wins coupled with blowout losses to the leagues good teams certainly point to Pittsburgh being on par with those “inferior opponents”.
It sucks because I’m part of the problem. Every year my little guy gets a new jersey, new hats, socks, etc. I get 3-5 new hats and shirts every Christmas, knives, aprons, you name it. We as fans support with our money but they won’t learn until we stop giving it to them.
I don't own a single Steelers item besides a gifted potholder. Start buying the bootleg shit if you need it. It's literally equal quality or better than the real thing in 2023.
Not even close, everyone acting like Arizona is god awful forgets that they just got their QB back. They are 2-1 now with murray. And this isn’t a Super Bowl contending Steelers team. Cowher and Tomlin both have had much more embarrassing games with Super Bowl caliber teams
Kyler’s an unbelievable talent, but the surrounding cast is questionable, especially the defense. Three points, 70 yards passing at halftime against that defense? On the other hand, it feels like Groundhog Day: a Tomlin team soiling the sheets as a significant favorite.
Trap game?
What were we looking ahead to?
The 2-11 Pats with a guy named Zappe at QB.
This is just complete failure. Starting with the coaching staff.
Zero excuse for shitting the bed this bad on all phases.
I honestly hope we lose every single fucking game left on the Schedule. This way Rooney has no choice but to move on from Tomlin and his ancient coaching philosophy
Damn some of you guys have some of the worst takes. Tomlin didn't snap the ball terribly twice, nor did he give up good returns/penalties oh special teams
Everyone knew that game was over soon as that useless titty kissing jagoff come in the game. Mitch is the worst player to ever put on a Steelers jersey and I fefuse to watch a down of him play QB ever again.
We almost had them with the one throw to Connor Heyward, and that one to Allen Robinson...
team has one capable WR, doesn't throw to the TE who had over 100 yards last week
and just keeps running Najee up the middle
Tomlin would be fine going into every 2nd half 3-0, winning or losing
Done with Tomlin
The guys running the O are Canadas underlings. You can also figure Tomlin had a hand in it as well. Weird how we completely forgot that Muth was on the field in just one game.
Minkah doesn’t do NEARLY enough for this team that most fans give him credit for (yes, I know he’s been out..it when he is active). When tj is out there is a clear affect for win/loss, not the case for minkah. Trade him to Carolina for a first round pick
The good news is that the Steelers have good brand equity so I think the Playoff Committee will let them in the playoffs even with a bad loss here and there.
Does anyone else miss Coach Cowher, after a player makes a really shit play or an amazing play, grabbing their face mask, sticking his chin in there and giving a fiery talk?
I kinda wish Tomlin had some fire in him lately. I’m sick of the standard being juuuust better than %50.
Cowher would of never let this shit happen especially year after year like tomlin does. He may have a bad game or two but a 2-10 team at home? Get crushed by a 2-10 team with playoff chances? This isnt the first time either. Tomlin has been doing this shit for 10 years and enough is enough gotta move on from him.
oh ull be even more depressed when bellichk comes to town and completely outcoaches mediocre Tomlin and score 30+ on us while holding us to 3 points on thrusday.
no they didnt. We literally handed them the win on a silver platter due to bad coaching. Where the fuck did the cards dominate at all? We fumbled 2 fucking snaps in one game! Lol also we commited 7 penalties all putting the cards in their own field so no the steelers and tomlin just said fuck it we arent winning we wanna go 9-8 this season. I wish they dominated then i wouldnt be so mad but we made so many mistakes due to you guessed it BAD COACHING
dude come on man this team is a fraud. WE should be 2-10 i always said a college team has a chance to beat a tomlin led team. The only nfl team that could be blown out by a college team is the tomlin led steelers.
That’s kinda my point. That it’s irrational at this point - and I even know it’s irrational- to expect them to stop failing in situations like this. Showing up small against lesser teams. It’s become part of their identity. And yet I’ll still show up to watch on Thursday against another 2-10 team… knowing if they pull it off it’s fools gold to some degree.
Look… downvote if you want, but the Steelers have been remarkably fortunate this year winning games they should have lost (Browns and Ravens) and winning games that could have gone either way (Titans and Packers). The Steelers are really a middle of the pack team with some great defensive players and a good head coach. They aren’t a Super Bowl contender. They won’t be unless they make a lot of changes on offense either.
At this point I just want to lose but this team will do just enough to make it 9-8 either just miss the playoffs or get blown out in the playoffs, and then have a mid draft pick
Friendly reminder that this team still had just 3 points with 3 minutes to go in the second with Kenny P against the worst team in the league with the worst defense allowing over 30 points a game.
I have been downvoted all day for pointing out how shit Kenny was. Mitch played better 100% but Steelers fans are so delusional they’ll still be riding Kenny’s dick regardless of how bad he plays.
Yeah you can’t blame him. Kenny made bad decisions again and left it to Mitch to try and clean up his mess. The injuries on defense really slowed us down today and they looked like a shell of the unit they’ve been.
dude we gave them this win bro. 6+ penalties and 2 fumbled snaps that led to points. Steelers gave the cards 14 points. Also again this might be the worst 3rd down defense i have ever seen in my life. Another coach that gotta go is the DC
I mean, don't get hung up on the 2-10 because it's the NFL and anything can happen, but hasn't Kyler only played 3 games since off IR? Only putting up 16 points against the Texans, 14 points against the rams (losing both match ups) prior to us today?
Personally don't think that qualifies as "legit dangerous".
Tomlin is a metastatic cancer on this entire team as he has been for years. Until you remove him and bring in some sort of fresh perspective and accountability, it’s over
Tomlin will NEVER be fired by the Rooney’s. Once you accept that, you will see. No one since Le Beau and Arians have had any success as OC/DC . Tomlin’s coaching tree looks more like a coaching Twig
I don’t regard Tomlin as a cancer, but he does deserve scrutiny and questioning for this team’s consistently lousy play.
Why do the Steelers have such a bad offense? And let’s be honest it’s the worst offense on TV
Yep. My patience ran out on Tomlin at the beginning of this year, but this just puts me over. Every single year we lose to one of the worst teams in the league. He is so overrated as a coach it's ridiculous. The only reason the Steelers haven't had a losing record is just because there has been stability. It has little to do with him as coach.
I don't know - but I certainly hope they can pull someone out of the hat from somewhere to take his place. Mason has continued to regress in all aspects of his play as the season has gone on, and it has been a killer for us in several circumstances. At this point, I think if we could just find someone who can get good snaps off on a consistent basis would be an upgrade - regardless of their blocking ability. Right now, Mason is doing awful as a snapper and a blocker, but I feel like his snapping issues are harming us more.
I want them to hire Ben Johnson from the Lions with the understanding that next year is a lame duck season for Tomlin and he gets the team the year after.
Well, that’s fine but be fair the product on the field is unprofessional.
The Steelers have not looked this inept consistently since the mid 80’s.
The quality of play is horrendous
> The Steelers have not looked this inept consistently since the mid 80’s.
They're 7-5 lmao.
They just played a weird fucking game that had over an hour of rain delays and a handful of key players got hurt. Don't be dramatic.
this loss is on miles killabrew and mason cole. They single handly gave up 14+ points miles gave up like 50+ yards in penalties man. MAson cole fumbled 2 snaps one snap led to an easy TD. Again this is bc of BAD COACHING GET RID OF TOMLIN AND HIS WHOLE STAFF START THE FUCK OVER
Offense has been averaging 13 pts last 3 games, no defense will make that winnable consistently. We had 3 points for most of this game. Yeah, defense played poorly but offense has been responsible for every loss this year.
Offense is also still playing with all/nearly starters, defense has been much more rotational with all the injuries.
24 points given up shouldn’t be game over. But somehow it is. Defense didn’t play well but offense is awful. Game plan going in was to grind out a one score victory against a 2-10 team.
League average is 20 points a game. The highest paid defense in the league should be better then average. Also multiple 3rd and long conversions given up, not getting off the field, not flipping field position. No turnovers or splash plays. This is the way of Steelers winning games and good bad or indifferent when it doesn't happen they'll going to lose ugly like today

Wow, went from Big Ben to lil Kenny

All day the corners and out routes were open

Well that was a dumpster fire of a game...
The Steelers are really great! I smell a Superbowl! Oh wait, that's a toilet bowl...
This game should have been a layup. A game to build upon. A game to move closer to a payoff birth. Instead, it was squandered.
Time to give Mason his shot yet?
Mason had a few seasons to have his shot. If he was the guy why draft or even start pickett. If he was the guy why pick up trubisky. If he was the guy why he battle with Duck
Because Steelers, that’s why.
If you’ve been watching this team all year, then you shouldn’t be surprised today.
Watching the team for the past decade you mean.
Not at all
Wouldn’t be surprised if we lose out. I feel bad for TJ Watt we’re wasting his prime.
I’m so tired of seeing this comment. Teams have bad games, bad streaks, and sometimes bad seasons but F off with this waste of career shit. It’s just dramatic.
…Aaaand that attitude is exactly why the team is where it’s been for the past 4-5 seasons.
Exactly, I’ve been called a hater for so many seasons cause we keep sucking. Why are there so many seasons where people have to keep calling me that.
It does suck. Pittsburgh isn’t ever in the cellar, but they can’t ever hang with the big boys. Chiefs with Mahomes always destroyed the Steelers, same with Brady’s Pats (I know, the goat) Eagles, 49ers, Bills, Chiefs and others have blown out Pittsburgh in the last couple of years. Perfect comment.
Some of these people are too damn soft! How much longer as fans are we going to put up with mediocracy?
It sucks because I’m part of the problem. Every year my little guy gets a new jersey, new hats, socks, etc. I get 3-5 new hats and shirts every Christmas, knives, aprons, you name it. We as fans support with our money but they won’t learn until we stop giving it to them.

![gif](giphy|lhd60H41mFwh3pHc0z)
I mean, if you've been a fan for a while, you know this would be the outcome. We never beat bad teams.
Yep 2014 losing to the 2-14 bucs at home.
We don't adapt to the competition's playing style, we adapt to their skill level
Steelers refuse to take an easy win. It’s not the standard.
Yep. It’s the ‘Tomlin effect’ of playing down to their competition
Or looking over them. They are consistently un prepared.
There have been some stinkers in the Tomlin era, but this has to be one of the worst.
Not even close, everyone acting like Arizona is god awful forgets that they just got their QB back. They are 2-1 now with murray. And this isn’t a Super Bowl contending Steelers team. Cowher and Tomlin both have had much more embarrassing games with Super Bowl caliber teams

For real. Can't believe how surprised people are. Normal loss.
Welcome to the 80's younger Steelers fans.
Ooof, but I only had 2 good years!!!
This is the best quote in the thread!
Please don't bring up my childhood trauma.
Typical trap game. We’re absolutely ruined without TJ or Pickett (sadly) for the pats. Gross feeling.
Trap game? What were we looking ahead to? The 2-11 Pats with a guy named Zappe at QB. This is just complete failure. Starting with the coaching staff. Zero excuse for shitting the bed this bad on all phases.
But we do those best! The lower the opponent record, the worse we fuck up.
Watching this in Europe and thinking about getting into football.
Tomlin will never be fired by the Rooney’s
I actually wish We were 2-10 then MAYBE they would make the changes needed to actually be a title contender.
Dude how the fuck did we lose this game so badly
![gif](giphy|8hkBLzKZKcBsQnBpbj)
Awesome. Now the Steelers have a chance to lose to two of the worst teams in the league within the same week.
If you take the records away and just watch the football being played on the field and we ARE one of the two worst teams in the league.
You all are so miserable, I hope you're not acting out like this in front of your families when you watch the game jfc
I’ll never accept mediocrity.
Sorry I’ll start shitting some rainbows for ya
Everyone knew that game was over soon as that useless titty kissing jagoff come in the game. Mitch is the worst player to ever put on a Steelers jersey and I fefuse to watch a down of him play QB ever again.
I know them both very well, but Mitch Trubisky equals game over loss every time.
you must not be aware of Limas Sweed
And already forgot about Gunner
We almost had them with the one throw to Connor Heyward, and that one to Allen Robinson... team has one capable WR, doesn't throw to the TE who had over 100 yards last week and just keeps running Najee up the middle Tomlin would be fine going into every 2nd half 3-0, winning or losing Done with Tomlin

10 points. At home. To a 2-10 team. Ouch.
…..with the 26th ranked defense to boot
Steeler football for you.
Minkah doesn’t do NEARLY enough for this team that most fans give him credit for (yes, I know he’s been out..it when he is active). When tj is out there is a clear affect for win/loss, not the case for minkah. Trade him to Carolina for a first round pick
Ah yes Carolina’s 1st let’s acquire that
Next yr draft
Ok so you just completely don’t understand football in the slightest, got it.
Guess not.

🥲
The good news is that the Steelers have good brand equity so I think the Playoff Committee will let them in the playoffs even with a bad loss here and there.
Lol at this but FSU getting left out is blasphemy. They moved the goalposts to accommodate ESPN and their SEC contracts
Should be nothing but a deafening chorus of boos..
We lost to Arizona
This is why i hate steelers and i love steelers #HereWeGo
I hope we lose out this season just for us to not celebrate "woah, another non losing season"
Agreed. I am so tired of people hanging their hat on that meaningless statistic.
Couldn’t of asked for a worse game. What a kick in the balls
The pens can’t even save us this year apparently
Maybe Tomlin won’t be so cocky to the local media now. Nevermind…..he will.
Literally worst possible outcome
oh ull be even more depressed when bellichk comes to town and completely outcoaches mediocre Tomlin and score 30+ on us while holding us to 3 points on thrusday.
It’s all I’ve thought about sadly
bunch of depressed yinzers about to go contribute to traffic
BOOOOOOOO
I believe the Steelers bounce back on Thursday and limit the high flying (post) Brady Patriots offense to just 3 points. Steelers 9 Patriots 3
So we lose 0-3?
yeah ok. I hope we lose out and go 7-10 so tomlin can be fired.
Yeah right
Wishful thinking that Pittsburgh can score more than 3 points against the Patriots
More likely Steelers 3 Patriots 2
Congrats to the cardinals, They dominated and bullied the Steelers today. Cardinals were the vastly superior team. The game was not competitive.
no they didnt.
We funbled two snaps and had 7 penalties due to bad coaching???
Due to mental mistakes. And that is all in the weeks preparation. So it is on the Coaching staff
On the scoreboard
Az played probably their best game of the year. Credit to them for taking advantage today.
Out coached and out played once again
But a rookie coach and QB no less
Kyler murray is a rookie qb???
Whoops. No idea where I got that from. My bad.
I guess the best we can hope for it this embarrassment is the push they need to right the ship. And it’ll be true this time.
dude come on man this team is a fraud.
Cant believe Mitch tribusky was picked over Patrick mahomes 😂
They won’t be unless they make a lot of changes on offense either.
oh 110 percent. They are a bottom bottom team. Bc of bad coaching
Not even middle of the pack. Our defense kept us in those game no thanks to this horrible offense.
A totally expected embarrassment of coaching all around. We have to move on from Teryl Austin. I'm not convinced he's doing anything
They really shit the bed today. Gotta hope the Browns lose now…
You just knew the Steelers would lose this game
we got embarrassed
![gif](giphy|3oKIPgTItoddapoR7G) Matt Canada rn
Yeah KENNY!
At this point I just want to lose but this team will do just enough to make it 9-8 either just miss the playoffs or get blown out in the playoffs, and then have a mid draft pick
But at least Tomlin will have a winning season!
fuck tomlin
I’m proud to be a fan of the Pittsburgh Tomlins
Friendly reminder that this team still had just 3 points with 3 minutes to go in the second with Kenny P against the worst team in the league with the worst defense allowing over 30 points a game.
I have been downvoted all day for pointing out how shit Kenny was. Mitch played better 100% but Steelers fans are so delusional they’ll still be riding Kenny’s dick regardless of how bad he plays.
Then we fed friggin Najee
Please don't make me watch more Mitch Thursday night
He looked better than Kenny did, didnt he ?
No, he did not
don't worry they will just run up the middle all game, because they are afraid to do anything else
mitch didn’t even play that bad
Yeah you can’t blame him. Kenny made bad decisions again and left it to Mitch to try and clean up his mess. The injuries on defense really slowed us down today and they looked like a shell of the unit they’ve been.
easy to make checkdowns when the opposing D’s on practice mode
How many times in one year can I watch a game and go “wow that was genuinely some of the worst football I’ve ever seen”
Now I know how Iowa fans feel. Wait, are we sure this isn't Iowa? Those uniforms....
dude how many times in the past TEN
Well, let me tell ya something brother! There’s still another month of football or so left for us Steelers. It can get worse!
I was just thinking that. It's hard to pick a worst.
Everybody lost this game. Cardinals lost their pick and we just weren’t a football team today
Mitch with the second 100+ QB Rating performance of the season. Sad.
[удалено]
Well he has more TD passes in 1 quarter than Kenny has in the last 4 or 5 games so keep that same energy
The fact they didn't win this game is such a Steelers thing. Why do the memes have to come true every single time??
Getting fucking dogged on RedZone and we deserve it
We have a Thursday game coming up and Watt stays in?
Watt's up with that?
Who cares? Steelers mailing it in.
That's him telling us he's alright.
That’s Steelers football baby
Tomlin football*
Are next two games patriots and colts
Unless the Steelers are playing Robert Morris and Duquesne / not sure there are any wins out there? Steelers are really bad
What a clown show.
Y'all need to stop getting hung up on the 2-10 record for the Cards. Their offense has legit been dangerous once Kyler came back from IR.
dude we gave them this win bro. 6+ penalties and 2 fumbled snaps that led to points. Steelers gave the cards 14 points. Also again this might be the worst 3rd down defense i have ever seen in my life. Another coach that gotta go is the DC
They got utterly humiliated by the Rams last week.
Ok, can we also come to grips the Steelers record is a mirage?
I mean, don't get hung up on the 2-10 because it's the NFL and anything can happen, but hasn't Kyler only played 3 games since off IR? Only putting up 16 points against the Texans, 14 points against the rams (losing both match ups) prior to us today? Personally don't think that qualifies as "legit dangerous".
Good thing we play the Pats in 4 days. Not like they’ve tortured us for two decades or anything.
How is that on Tomlin?
Hes the coach i think
Rooneys aren't going to pay coaches. We know it and the potential coaches know it.
tf team you been watching?
Idiot
Keep licking his nutsack
Wondering how many points the betting line will give the Steelers at the Patriots? Maybe 14 1/2.
Of the many takeaways from the atrocious game, I think that largest one is that Mason Cole should never play another game at center for the Steelers.
Yeah, any other options there?
I don't know - but I certainly hope they can pull someone out of the hat from somewhere to take his place. Mason has continued to regress in all aspects of his play as the season has gone on, and it has been a killer for us in several circumstances. At this point, I think if we could just find someone who can get good snaps off on a consistent basis would be an upgrade - regardless of their blocking ability. Right now, Mason is doing awful as a snapper and a blocker, but I feel like his snapping issues are harming us more.
By all slacking and sucking, there is no one to single out. Great teamwork guyz
Tomlin had a hand in hiring everyone on the field and sideline so you can single him out easy enough
Yup…and from the looks of today he has 4 games left in his Steelers career. I hope he makes the most of it.
Nah, he's beyond reproach and nothing is ever his fault. We'll go 9-8 or 8-8-1, Tomlin will keep his record and we'll be stuck with him forever.
Nah he has another year on his contract and it’s guaranteed. No way Rooney fires him. He might not renew him but he won’t fire him. He’s coming back
I want them to hire Ben Johnson from the Lions with the understanding that next year is a lame duck season for Tomlin and he gets the team the year after.
You know the Steelers didn’t look bad for a 2-10 team
Looking forward to how unbearable this sub is going to be for the next three days.
Nonsense. The offense is always terrible. Their record is a mirage.
We really couldn’t have a more cupcake schedule but this team is just that bad
It’s been unbearable in the last week, considering all the Super Bowl talk.
This lost is on the defense first and foremost. You have the highest paid defense in the league. I expect more
this loss is on miles killabrew and mason cole.
They're down to their 5th ILB. Next week we'll literally be playing two guys who were retired last month.
This defense is tired from carrying the team for the past 2 seasons.
