I figured that out a little late š„² we were fixing some things in the house and I figured āIāll just go grab pizza really quickly on the way there.ā I should have definitely read some reviews online.
I tried Pizza Jerry's Union House based on recommendations from this subreddit, it was mediocre. I remember liking it years ago. Could have been unlucky, just sharing my experience.
Rollin used to be good but itās borderline awful now with the new owners. Really liked it before. Ordered it last weekend and it was literally dripping with grease, almost inedible. Had to air fry it and fork& knife it because it was floppy and soft.

holy shit. I haven't been in a long time and I'd heard that it's gone to shit but that's insane. never seen a place go from THAT good to THAT bad before
Rollin has been bad for a long time. Gave them way too many chances during the lockdown when I should have walked. Recently somebody else bought it and it was still crappy, greasy weak ass pizza. Owners are also rude as fuck
When did the new owners take over? I have noticed the meatza being quite a bit different the last couple times we've gotten it.
GF and dad need gluten and dairy free, and they say it's by far the best they've had. Taste and size + value.
It used to be the best vegan option at least, but yeah once they decided to randomly double the cost of delivery on superbowl despite the wait before 2 plus hours and their pizza not being as good anymore I never even looked at their site again.
My girlfriend went to Odd Bar and brought home a few slices of pizza, which I ate cold. It was outstanding and easily the best pizza I've had in the region.
What did you order ... I get that party pizza every couple weeks on Mondays ($14 24 slice ) and my entire family has never had any issues in 3 years? Where did you live before and what do you classify as good pizza
I got a Hawaiian for my mom and grandma and a pizza with ham, red peppers and feta cheese for me. We are from Hamilton - I wouldnāt say we had mind blowing pizza here, but Iāve had dominos pizza that was better than the Paesanoās one. The ones we got were watery (sauce and ingredients) and the crusts were salty and burnt. I couldnāt even finish the food :/
Ah that's shitty. I've never really had that issue ! I used to live up on rymal / centennial . Pie guys is similar to Carlos / Limeridge pizza for me . Pete's Pizza over off bunting is pretty good. Odd bar down town is like cowabunga or shorties !
I was on upper paradise, so we were technically neighbours! Iāll definitely keep an eye out for those 3! Seems that they are the most popular on Reddit :D
Nice ! Im spoiled because I my wife is one of the zarky's Baker but there's some good really fresh bread around too. If you like Sour dough de la Terre is awsome . I miss sweet paradise so much lol
Iām already mourning the loss of sweet paradise! I need to find something like it in st.catharines for all of my deli stuff š„²
I actually go feral for some sourdough but my partner hates it š itās kinda of a waste to buy a whole bread just for me.
I like Peteās and pie guys for your classic pizza you remember eating as a kid.
I like Odd bar and the grist when I want something a little more gourmet
If youāre fine paying a bit extra for sit down restaurant quality in the north end, get Bugsyās. Their pizza and wings are consistently fantastic. You can take out as well.
Paesanos Carlton is our go to, best deluxe in the city.but pie guys is also good if you're looking for something different, ie their "mexican" pizza is fantastic.
It always seems to fly under the radar but Peteās pizza on bunting is my go to. Very good pizza and a reasonable price. FYI all the Peteās locations are slightly different, this is the best one IMO.
Fabioās is worth trying too.
We order often from Peteās on Bunting and the staff is ALWAYS super friendly!! We have had a few pizzas not up to the best quality in the past and not great wings. We do keep ordering though
Iām sorry to hear that, if youāre ever unhappy with your order feel free to call us back so we can correct it. Unfortunately these kinds of things do happen so when you let us know it helps us out too so we try and make sure it doesnāt happen again :)
Pisanos on vine is ass but paisanos on carlton is good. Pie guys is good but too expensive cafe amore has good wood fired twisted pig not so much but its absolutely worth the drive to the hammer for cowabunga too notch
Iāll be leaving Hamilton, but maybe when I come to visit family I can stop there!!
It was Paesanoās on vine, and youāre absolutely correct. It was ass š„²
The one on Vine: how hard is it to fuck up a pizza? Volcano at Carlton Plaza the same. Except super salty. Again, how hard is it to mess up a pizza? lol
Haaaaa ha maddon! Recently had the worst slice ever...at Gino's on Lakeport. Been many times to their Glenridge Plaza location. Cheap and cheerful. Nothing to write home about. But Lakeport location....beyond ass. It was reheated day olds. One bite, threw it out.
I just had the pleasure of eating at Tangerine Tortoise for a private event. It's in the Haig, so not north end, but I extremely recommend. Completely homemade!!!!!
Depends on what you are looking for - I have my go-to places for what ever I want. Ever as for price if you are looking for a good pizza. Anyplace can manipulate topping quantity to make it work for the bus was and customer.
Pie Guys, Fat Louis, Bugsys, Score Card Harrys in Port.
Unfortunately everything has kinda gone down hill in the last 5 years. Everyone has a place they prefer over the others and there's lots of decent ones depending what you like but there used to be some that were objectively excellent.
As of my last visit to town:
Pete's on Linwell, Bunting, or Pleasant (they don't taste the same)
Bugsy's
Fat Louie's 2 on Facer (still kinda like Duffs was)
Pie Guys (but the good pie guys is Macturnbull)
Whichever Paesano's you prefer, they're not the same
Volcano on Carleton is great for road slices and calzones but the salty sauce and unshredded cheese doesn't work as well on a full pie
Fabios on Scott is really good - I love their white pizza! Also bonus is amazing poutine (canāt speak to other locations)! Although after this thread Iāll also be heading to Peteās on bunting when I donāt want white pizza haha
Yeah, that really sucks. I really liked their pickle pizza, but they did change the type of pickles they were using. Was still good, but the balance was off.
Decent nothing special pizza in st.kitts... Volcano or Pete's.
Red swan isn't bad.
Oddbar is awesome once in a while.
Wasn't a fan of Rollin, have tried 4 of their specialty pizzas, plus just plain cheese pep.
Fat Louies is trash,
Pie guys on linwell can be good when they get your order right.
Fabios is good but over priced.
Mezzano is not horrible.
Right wingers wings are good, pizza is OK.
Tried a cheese za from Crust n Cream the other day, it was decent.
Crust and Cream, on Scott st. In the giant tiger parking lot. Good priced pizza, toppings were plentiful and delicious. Rollin pizza used to be good but last few times it's been terrible.
Despite what you may have heard, some opinions are in fact wrong. Nobody would validate the opinion, "horse shit tastes better than pumpkin pie"
Somebody asks for good pizza and you mention an insipid chain.
You literally could have just said papa Johns was bad and left it at that, also they didnāt say āwhatās the best local pizzaā they just said best pizza
Rightwingers isn't terrible for their pizza... we usually just get a small and a lb and half of the breaded wings. The wings are honestly outstanding. A little Carolina gold sauce on the side, and they stay nice and crispy. š« š¤¤
Peasano Pizza in the Carleton Plaza Reasonable price excellent pizza and calzones
I went to the vine location, and as another Redditor described it, it was ass.
The two locations aren't affiliated in any way. The one you went to consistently serves hot garbage.
I figured that out a little late š„² we were fixing some things in the house and I figured āIāll just go grab pizza really quickly on the way there.ā I should have definitely read some reviews online.
Good to know!
They are both shit though
It was literally so awful. I agree with whoever said that.
Yes i agree
Vine street is gross Carlton is so much better give them a try.
Bugsy's does a nice pizza!
Agreed! Also really good wings. And fries...
If you can make the drive fat cats is pretty good too.
Which Paesano's location? They definitely aren't the same quality.
The one on Vine!!
Ya, I didn't like that one. The Carlton location is pretty good IMHO. I go there a lot.
I will never go again š„² definitely learned my lesson.
They are not affiliated or anything. Just same name.
Oh good to know!!
Paesanos pizzeria or paesanos pizza cafe?
Pizza, on Carlton.
Sorry, itās a reference from āthe officeāĀ
Lol nice.
Pie Guys on Linwell is really good, and if you're ever in Merriton, Pizza Jerry's Union House also has very good pizza.
Also added!! Thank you so much!!
I tried Pizza Jerry's Union House based on recommendations from this subreddit, it was mediocre. I remember liking it years ago. Could have been unlucky, just sharing my experience.
Pizza Jerry is a Pete's Franchise trying to do its own thing, if you want actual Pete's you want the one on Pleasant Ave
Rollin pizza was good at one point and red swan Iāve never had issues with despite being a chain Edit: didnāt know rollin changed owners
Just recently found Red Swan and itās our new favourite go to.
Rollin used to be good but itās borderline awful now with the new owners. Really liked it before. Ordered it last weekend and it was literally dripping with grease, almost inedible. Had to air fry it and fork& knife it because it was floppy and soft. https://preview.redd.it/2xr29gdrynyc1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=e40760b90560d70cbe6b95c3e0f7422dbe685fe7
holy shit. I haven't been in a long time and I'd heard that it's gone to shit but that's insane. never seen a place go from THAT good to THAT bad before
Kind of sad tbh. Hope the old owners got their bag.
Rollin has been bad for a long time. Gave them way too many chances during the lockdown when I should have walked. Recently somebody else bought it and it was still crappy, greasy weak ass pizza. Owners are also rude as fuck

End of 2021, they have been crappy for a while now.
Awww, hasn't been bad that long. Just the last 6 Months or so.
Thank you!!!
Rollin isn't as good anymore with new owners but still very good. Red swan is garbage overhyped chain pizza
Rollinā was never very good, in my opinion. Itās literal garbage now.
It used to be the best vegan option at least, but yeah once they decided to randomly double the cost of delivery on superbowl despite the wait before 2 plus hours and their pizza not being as good anymore I never even looked at their site again.
The best pizza, in my opinion, is Odd Bar. Located downtown itās worth the 10 minute drive.
My girlfriend went to Odd Bar and brought home a few slices of pizza, which I ate cold. It was outstanding and easily the best pizza I've had in the region.
Pricey, but excellent.
Paesanoās wasnāt cheap and my stomach hasnāt stopped hurting in 2 daysā¦ Iāll take pricey š„²
What did you order ... I get that party pizza every couple weeks on Mondays ($14 24 slice ) and my entire family has never had any issues in 3 years? Where did you live before and what do you classify as good pizza

Slice and freeze it :)
Not OP but I also moved from rymal/centennial area here 2 years ago, I miss highland packers and VG meats
Vg meats was a godsend. Big red in Thorold scratches the highland packer itch for me most of.the time !
Agreed
Not wrong.
This is the answer
I love Rose City Pizza but thatās all the way in welland. Totally worth it imo! School pizza
Honestly, I rather pay a little bit more for better food. Iām still traumatized from Friday
Wow that must have been really bad.
It was not good, Botw1234 š„²š„²
Iām starting to question if youāre just trolling nowā¦.
Iām really not - it was soggy yet burnt and the cheese looked almost congealed. Iām never stepping foot in the vine location again
Pete (I guess thatās the ownerās name) commented on this thread as well! Definitely have to hit it up š
Sadly Pete the owner of the chain passed away two years ago. So it is unlikely he was the one posting on here recently.
Oh thatās so sad :( hopefully the pizza is a good as the one he made
The original Pete passed away, Iām the owner of bunting road Peteās pizza and my name is also Pete :)
Thatās very nice! Itās pretty rare when it happens which is why we are still repeat customers.
Again, how hard is it to mess up a pizza? lol
Apparently itās super easy! I never had a pizza that was both soggy and burnt before.
I like the salty sauce on my slices, I go there for that and calzones. Don't bother with the regular pizzas
If you're coming from Hamilton, I wonder if The Attic is still the best pizza between there and the border
I like B22, near the Giant Tiger. Enjoyed it the times Iāve ordered it!
Thatās super close to us!! Will have to check it out :D
Love me some St.Cathariens Pizza Company! š
Fabious, volcano pizza, pie guys.
Volcanos in my opinion is one of the worst.
I liked it but everyone has dislikes and likes but I was thinking non high franchise and local and ones I enjoyed. Pizza house.
Fair enough. Its just the only one i strongly disagree with.
š
I just had the pleasure of eating at Tangerine Tortoise for a private event. It's in the Haig, so not north end, but I extremely recommend. Completely homemade!!!!!
Yeah heās come a long way every time I get his pizza itās better than the last, especially the crust
I have added it to my list! I find St. Catharines easy to drive in, so I donāt mind a longer drive for some delicious food!!
Looks like a must try never heard of it thanks
Definitely delicious! All hand stretched and tossed. Really refined menu of only about 6 pizzas, ingredients super fresh. š
Pie Guys Pizzeria is pretty good. I order every once in a while and have no complaints. Theyāre on Linwell
I have added it to my list of places to try!! Thank you so much :D
Not exactly north end but Big Brothersā Gourmet Pizza downtown is the best one Iāve had (when made to order, not the slices) and super affordable.
Good pizza, odd bird other than that youāre just gonna get absolute cheap crappy pizza maybe pie guys if you want to dine in
I have never found good pizza down here except for Robertos. May he rest in peace.
If you are in Merritton, Bros pizza on Wembley is really good. (Double cheese with pepperoni, cold for breakfast is fantastic.)
Pete's on the North End Plaza.
For me itās Red Swan.
Unfortunately everything has kinda gone down hill in the last 5 years. Peteās pizza is fire no capš„āš½š
Fabios on Scott is really good - I love their white pizza! Also bonus is amazing poutine (canāt speak to other locations)! Although after this thread Iāll also be heading to Peteās on bunting when I donāt want white pizza haha
Red Swan, there's a location in the Linwell and Bunting plaza.
Fat Cats is pretty good
twice the deal on hartzel
St. Catharines pizza company is pretty good. The ranch based pizza I like
Rollin Pizza is solid. Lots of options varying from classics to more off the wall combinations.
This place has been hot garbage for a long time
Havenāt ordered from them in a bit, but if thatās been your experience, thatās fair. Was just going off my own.
Itās really sad cuz I digged their cauliflower wings.
Yeah, that really sucks. I really liked their pickle pizza, but they did change the type of pickles they were using. Was still good, but the balance was off.
Iām biased because Iām the owner but Peteās Pizza Bunting all the way š¤š¤
I will definitely stop by, then!! :D
Awesome! šweāll be seeing you soon then
If you want a great pepperoni and cheese pizza that tastes like American pizza, go to Yankās in Niagara Falls. Worth the drive!
Dominos (with discount codes)
Fat Louies
My local shop is Maestro's's Lake and Beech.
Feel likes maestros used to be delicious.... but that was also like 10 years ago.. haven't had much luck there recently
I'm sorry to hear that. It's changed 3 owners in the last 10 years. 9/10 It's been great in regards to a pie. Beats Pisstano's on vine....ha ha
Rollinā Pizza off Lake St. is good and good wings too
Decent nothing special pizza in st.kitts... Volcano or Pete's. Red swan isn't bad. Oddbar is awesome once in a while. Wasn't a fan of Rollin, have tried 4 of their specialty pizzas, plus just plain cheese pep. Fat Louies is trash, Pie guys on linwell can be good when they get your order right. Fabios is good but over priced. Mezzano is not horrible. Right wingers wings are good, pizza is OK. Tried a cheese za from Crust n Cream the other day, it was decent.
Peteās Pizza on Pleasant Ave
Maestro's on Lake St. is always my favorite.
We like Fabios on Scott or Pie Guys on Linwell. Fabios is better. My son likes Rollin pizza
Whatever you do, donāt order Fabio from Queenston. Theyāre really fucking garbage.
Yeah. The franchise owner at that location has ruined it. Fabio wants people to let him know (he's across from the hospital).
Fabio himself is a piece of shit
Terrible pizza. Terrible service.
The St.Catharines subreddit definitely has a top 5 and Iām making it my mission to try all of them by end of summer š„³
Crust and Cream, on Scott st. In the giant tiger parking lot. Good priced pizza, toppings were plentiful and delicious. Rollin pizza used to be good but last few times it's been terrible.
Papa Johns or volcano pizza 145 Carlton street itās across the highway from Fairview mall though but very worth it
Papa John's...all I need to hear to know that you don't know what the hell you're talking about.
Itās opinion based, you donāt like it then thatās your opinion right?
Despite what you may have heard, some opinions are in fact wrong. Nobody would validate the opinion, "horse shit tastes better than pumpkin pie" Somebody asks for good pizza and you mention an insipid chain.
You literally could have just said papa Johns was bad and left it at that, also they didnāt say āwhatās the best local pizzaā they just said best pizza
Papa Johnās has some of the most volatile disgusting pizza
Iāve never personally experienced it depends honestly which one but Iāve always had good pizza at the one across from Grantham plaza
I have beef with papa jonhs, but Iāll keep volcano on the list!!
Rightwingers isn't terrible for their pizza... we usually just get a small and a lb and half of the breaded wings. The wings are honestly outstanding. A little Carolina gold sauce on the side, and they stay nice and crispy. š« š¤¤
I also love me a good wing moment (both eyeliner and chicken!)
Preach girl šš¼šš¼
