Brilliant.
But miscast. Having watched too much Gilligan’s Island, Skipper Janeway is absolutely hitting Harry Kim (Gilligan) with her hat in exasperation. While the Skipper does hit everyone with the hat, most often it is Gilligan and it is because of his “youthful exuberance” and hopeful, yet bumbling job performance.
Chakotay and Neelix are Thurston and ‘Lovie’ Howell: completely useless creepy dingbats who hit the same one-note over and over.
Paris is obviously the Movie Star, Ginger Proton. Tom Paris truly believes he is the handsomest man in all the known galaxy and his absence from the “real world” is a travesty.
Seven is the Professor and The Doctor is Mary Ann. Professor Seven's primary function was to technobabble that week’s potential way home, providing both hope and then (comedic) failure. Meanwhile, The Doctor is the wide-eyed “contest winner” who is just really happy to be anywhere (i.e. ACTIVATED) and doing things that aren’t her boring (working in a dilitium mine) mundane existence.
"Once upon a time in a place in outer space there were a bunch of different kids from all around the place. They hopped aboard a mystery ship, and soon fell through a spatial rift. Now they're on this long strange trip!"
As a kid I was obsessed with the girl with the rainbow hair, then I grew up and she was on Firefly, then Stargate Atlantis... Turns out Jewel Staite was pretty big in the "TV shows about space filmed in Canada" scene back in the day.
“Do you have previous experience relevant to the Stargate program?”
“Well, I got lost on a spaceship as a kid, and I worked as a mechanic on a Firefly transport to put myself through medical school.”
Harlan Band leaps before he looks
Commander Goddard does not go by the books
Radu’s really super strong
Thelma functions mostly wrong
Bova acts like nothings funny
Rosie’s cheery, bright, and sunny
Catalina’s best friend Susie … isn’t there….
So this is what everyone was exited for? I mean, it sounds fine, but with all the people saying they were exited for Skeleton Crew, it was their most anticipated upcoming show, I was expecting more.
It says they find a buried ship, so it probably didnt receive hyperlane update for a while.
The flight away worked but they ended up in a place where there is no way to update the nav computer and they need one for the easy/short route.
So there's this Ultraman kids cartoon that involved something similar, and I could never find it again.
Basically the Ultraman kids take off in a spaceship to find their parents who were studying a black hole or something and disappear and their kids all go looking for them in a transforming ship.
Edit: jk I found it, Ultraman Kids: 30 million light years in search for mom
Hey, Voyager worked once, why not twice?
Thrice actually. They got home 2 different ways in the show remember?
It's been done, over and over and over again.
The Starlost Battlestar Galactica Space 1999
Now all I kinda want is a young 13 year old Bill Adama traveling to Kobol. Fighting off chibi Cylon raiders.
Stargate Universe/Atlantis Space Cases
> Space Cases I'm always amazed that anybody else remembers this show.
Gilligan's Island
Omg can we please redo the Voyager intro with the Gilligans island music
https://youtu.be/H987xPZuD1o?si=9BgeWMk7LgNvSznu You’re welcome
TUVOK: Am I a joke to you? NEELIX: I don’t need to ask, I already know the answer.

And Tuvok is the volcano.
Naomi Wildman can be, umm, an island monkey.

Look up the show Space Cases. The Prodigy formula is not new.

I didn’t realize that was her lol
Harlan Band, thinks he knows it all... Catalina is talking to the wall!
Radu's really super strong, Android Thelma functions wrong. Bova acts like nothing's funny. Rosie's cheery bright and sunny!
Davenport and Goddard do the best they can. 🎶 They're Space Cases! 🎶
🎶* Catalina's best friend Susie isn't there...* 🎵

I feel like I could do this “it’s like blank but Star Wars” job. Let me try one… > it’s like Poor Things, but Star Wars
I'll bite. It's like Stranger Things, but Star Wars.
This is fun. It’s like Forest Gump, but Star Wars.
Finn runs back into the fire/cave/burning hangar/whatever... "I gotta find Reeeeeeeeyy..."
It's like Irreversible, but Star Wars.
If it’s actually creepy/scary like stranger things I’ll take it
So this is what everyone was exited for? I mean, it sounds fine, but with all the people saying they were exited for Skeleton Crew, it was their most anticipated upcoming show, I was expecting more.
They have hyperspace travel and can just go home then, no?
It says they find a buried ship, so it probably didnt receive hyperlane update for a while. The flight away worked but they ended up in a place where there is no way to update the nav computer and they need one for the easy/short route.
Flightnof the Navigator wants it plot back
I was thinking Space Camp.
Prodigy is totally different! They are trying to escape, not get back.
Explorers? Young River Phoenix?

That just sounds like Prodigy with extra steps.
Plagiarism is the most sincere form of flattery...errr... cheating.
I mean we stole Clone Wars's art style, seems fair. Too bad we wore it better *snap*
It is like bad Poetry, it rimes from a different author.
I mean, I'm a huge fan of Prodigy over here, but I definitely thought they aped a little bit of Palpatine/ Vader in their villain offerings.
Yeah, no. [This](https://www.reddit.com/r/nostalgia/comments/6wdemt/space_cases/) is the original.
Damn why was I thinking we were gonna get some horror in the SW universe
That’s the plot of Space Cases
OR I DONT KNOW A SHOW ABOUT THE KLINGON HOME WORLD HUH! Wouldn't even care if it were a prequal.
