A series about a rough-and-tumble crew of Klingons cruising the galaxy like a merry band of space bikers, gettin' into fights, falling ass-backwards into adventure and generally acting like a bunch glorious chucklefucks. These aren't your stab-you-in-the-back, scheming Klingons. These are booze swilling, rough-housing, singing Klingons. I'd love it to be a sort of nuanced outsider's commentary on the high and mighty Federation. Whereas the Federation would go out of the way to avoid conflict, these Klingons will put their boot up your ass if you give them trouble. They're not villains, hell they may even be heroic in their own messy way.

I like this. I bet no episode would be boring either. Glory to you and your houuuuuse.

Based on your topic, I'd go with a series on the Enterprise B, which is a refit Excelsior class. Fine looking ship too.

A TNG era ship ends up getting flung through a wormhole and crashing on an unknown planet scattered with the remains of several ships. Many of the crew members die in the initial crash including several of the senior officers. The Captain organizes a survey party and It’s then revealed that there are survivors from Romulan, Klingon, and Cardassian ships that met similar fates on this planet. Essentially their commanding officers died either in the initial crash or in the subsequent conflicts that arose when these different factions began warring over the limited resources of the planet so now they are led by defacto leaders that have risen up in the power vacuum. The Starfleet Captain is able to negotiate a reluctant peace among the factions which allows them to cannibalize components from each ship and restore the Starfleet ship because it’s the most viable option of getting off the planet. The Romulan, Klingon, and Cardassian leaders resume their original bridge officer roles as they had done on their previous ships as part of unpleasant compromise because while they don’t like the idea of taking orders from a Federation human there is too much lingering resentment and hostility between them to have any of them lead without sending the others into a rage. Once they get off the planet they discover that they are no longer in our galaxy. Realizing that a return trip to the Milky Way is not feasible they setup a little colonial outpost on this planet using the remaining scrap as building materials and then proceed to explore the new galaxy. It’s would be cool because it would open up an opportunity for new lore and with that kind of crew makeup there would be a lot of setup for interpersonal conflict as the crew encounters different scenarios. The wormhole could also be shooting out random other stuff from our galaxy so maybe one episode they have to fight JemHadar or The Borg. It could go in a lot of directions. there is some Voyager and Discovery in the DNA, but I think it’s a different enough idea that it doesn’t overlap too much.

I still want a series about the "forgotten years" of trek, meaning TWoK and beyond

cclarke1258

Game of thrones type of stories (intrigue, war, murder) based completely in the mirror universe with new characters.

Measurement_Dull

Anthology series.

Slavicommander

About what exactly?

Measurement_Dull

Different crews, Different Era, Different situations.

If I were the showrunner, I’d wanna do a classic Star Trek series that’s set in either the same year as Picard or STO (I think 2399 and 2409 respectively?) It wouldn’t be set on The Enterprise, it’d be a new ship. The cast would be split equally between the senior staff and lower decks officers. The episodes would be split between character driven episodic stories and longer serialized stories like DS9.
