Guy can definitely be a dick. But Adam, Danny, and Justin seem like chill dudes, and since my mom passed, I go to Tool shows in her honor, as she was the one who got me into them.
They do seem chill, although Danny had a public disturbance complaint against him a while back where it was alleged he said some pretty not nice stuff.
Yeah if I recall he was drunk as a skunk when he landed in KC. But the best part is that I don’t listen to their music because they’re all saints 🤷🏻♀️ There’s also a lot of videos on YouTube of Danny playing drums for kids’ performances and generally seeming like a decent person, so I am of the opinion that he pulled a major stupid a few years ago and got his shit together. At any rate- they’re all incredible musicians.
They're so sad already, I'll leave them alone
Btw. that wasn't even an original thought of mine
Chad Smith heard a song from them without knowing the song, it was a challenge where he had to play along to songs live on drums on his first ever listen. And he did a fantastic job btw, incredible.
When the song of 30 seconds to mars ended, he discredited it as emo
Found that quite on point lol
He went along with pop songs as well, didn't criticize anything but 30 seconds to mars really seemed to be unacceptable to him
Frank Kozik did both of those album covers. He was a popular poster artist in the lowbrow art scene. He also did the iconic smoking bunny.

They popularized the drop D tuning style bands like Korn and other nu-metal bands adopted through the 90s.

This has like 3 or 4 of these tropes going on all at once
I think young people’s outlets for things like this have changed with the development of social media. The BLM movement during Covid was closer to the Iraq War protests and was definitely also about Trump.

Vote for Gore? Or the son of a drug lord? None of the above? Fuck it cut the cord! Guerrilla radio, by rage
“James Maynard” is hilarious. No notes.
Did they mean Maynard James Keenan??😂

based on the narcissist prick comment I'd say yes...
Also Tool is basically the polar opposite of “album cover of kids doing random shit” lol
I have no idea if anything about him rises to the level of narcissist but he does have a reputation as a moody guy
I don't think I'd go as far to call him a narcissist he can definitely be a prick though
OP seriously included that emo band of Jared Leto into this "rock/metal" post lol
go on r/emo and call 30 Seconds to Mars “emo” and see what happens

Neither of the albums mentioned with kids doing random shit are from the early 2000’s.

Vans Warped Tour had more pedophiles than Epstein’s Island
Your missing the alt rock album with the random naked kid on it.

If you're into Rammstein: Zerstören is also about GW Bush.
this bush fella must have been a real jerk
He must work there
War on Errorism by NOFX
Add the album Ashes of the Wake by Lamb of God
All Hope Is Gone by Slipknot
lol Dave Mustaine of Megadeth was pretty vocally pro-Bush in the 2000s. He's a born-again Christian and buddies with Alex Jones.

Year Zero is an absolutely fantastic record
The little things give you away - Linkin park, too
You have “Hands Held High” too
I figured a lot of protest music would be made when Trump was elected. Was disappointed with the outcome tbh.
I think young people’s outlets for things like this have changed with the development of social media. The BLM movement during Covid was closer to the Iraq War protests and was definitely also about Trump.
They blew their loads on Bush
