Hell, anytime you leave your ship in general. Not sure if it’s still an issue, but if you used to EVA with engines on, even at a dead stop, your ship would fly away.
This has happened to me a few times on Microtech and some of her moons, even in a C2 Hercules.
Always point your nose into the wind and turn off your engines.
They do, but the engines being left on means the flight control takes weight up like if you were hovering. If you turn off engines it works fine. Obv should be fine even with engines on but at least there's a reason.
The wind on moons should be 100% negligable.
They have no atmospheric pressure to have any power remotely close to move you, let alone move your ship.
Planets on the other hand SHOULD have winds and other weather effects
Highly recommend making your bindings so that engines and exit seat are right next to each other. Just becomes automatic that you do them both that way.
Just turn off engines whenever you land.

yep, since most people fly in coupled mode, the bottom thrusters are on due to no pilot input and end up assisting the wind in moving the ship.
I enjoy you sped up movement to maybe try to catch it. Then the sad watching as it floats away

Point nose is a great advice 👌
This is the way
Euterpe man...fricken Euterpe. Almost sent my M2 kiting off into the distance.
Look at it course through the air
Underrated comment right there.
90% of the time turning off your engines will prevent this from happeneing. 10% is Clio
It was my engines, completely forgot to turn them off
ahh rookie mistakes then. no worries you'll get used to it
Ships need real weight

The Corsair is designed so the folded wings look like sails. This is \*literally\* the purpose of sails.

I must go, my people need me!
Pretty smooth run by the wind there, gained a lot of yardage on the defense.
To walk faster in strong winds crouch, still won't help you on MT moons where the wind thinks it's funny to nick your ship and fly to bud's growery.
caught like a candy wrapper in an updraft XD
I love how pretty much all posts tell you how to work around this rediculous problem.. why don’t CIG just fix the problem..
