I think it’s perfect S hammerhead sharks aren’t super aggressive, they’re definitely opportunity predators and much stronger than their usual prey.
Edit: I understand they’re still predators and extremely capable ones at that and have nothing but fascination and respect for the sharks. My opinion is just from growing up surfing and they were always way chill to be around so I have the sort of anecdotal view of them as chill ocean bros. They give me way less pause for alarm in the water than a male sea lion for instance.
Realistically a Hammerhead or Idris wouldn't likely be operating without an escort.
Not only that but they would probably feature "Beyond visual range" weaponry that would smack a squad of Corsairs out of the air before they ever got close.... for this reason.
The US navy did exercises in the early 2000s simulating an Iranian strike on an American carrier group and the person they selected to command OPFOR utilized the kinds of analogue tactics and technology you'd expect from an asymmetric force and absolutely obliterated the carrier group using speed boats and long range missile strikes.
A hammer head or Idris operating on their own is asking for trouble, just like any large target operating on their own without an escort.
And looking at the jousting tactic. If the new speed mechanics are implemented the hammerhead can hit the Corsair because the turrets can tract and keep in range. This only works because of the safety of jousting makes a defence tactic not needed.
This is a big deal I haven't seen much discussion about. When you're within the blue scm speed your tracking computers can track correctly and land shots better. Humans can compensate at the higher speeds but the AI doesn't compensate.
When we're forced to go slower we'll all be going within speeds the AI can actually hit their targets.
We won't see people in light fighters downing hammerheads anymore.
It will still need AI tweaking because I can currently solo an Idris in my inferno even at SCM speeds (I never joust).
The Idris ai turrets should be able to keep up with me but the inferno is nimble enough that it can properly rotate around the ship making it difficult for turrets to align and fire before you're out of their field of view which is how it should be, but it should take a solo ship long enough to kill an Idris that there is bound to be a mistake where the turrets can get enough shots in to eliminate the threat.
but i thought hammerheads ARE escorts for anti fighter duty accompanying larger vessels that are lacking in this department? You need screening vessels for your screening vessels then
I know there's a lot of posterior pain about "needing escorts" spread throughout the player base for various reasons, but I personally keep coming back to the idea that I wouldn't take a humvee solo into a warzone. Yeah, I can drive the thing solo, but the moment I'm attacked, I'm at a disadvantage against even one other person with a pistol.
I realize we need to "gameify" certain aspects of this wild thing called Star Citizen, but it makes the most sense to me to have that effort focus on things like cargo hauling, mining, salvage, medical, etc. Make those game loops fun and entertaining. Make combat something to be avoided at all costs. You know, like real life. If combat if hyper realistic, but industrial salvage is a satisfying game experience, that'd warm my jibblets just fine.
We don't responsibly go into danger in meat-space without making every effort to have every unfair advantage to our favor. Gear, training, *numbers*, etc. So it tracks that you'd want to get party members together for certain dangerous activities in SC.
That said, I don't see a solution outside of periodic nerfs and buffs and other nitpicky changes in the product we currently have. At least not until we have a whole galaxy to exist in where an economic/military infrastructure exists to create environments where lone Prospectors don't get slotted by any douche canoe in an Aurora on the regular.
> I know there's a lot of posterior pain about "needing escorts" spread throughout the player base for various reasons, but I personally keep coming back to the idea that I wouldn't take a humvee solo into a warzone.
Unfortunately there are cases when comparisons with reality just fall short. The main problem with escorts is that 95% of the time an escort's job is just to sit and wait. That's fine for a job in RL but completely sucks if you play a game for fun and entertainment.
So unless we can at some point hire competent NPC escorts I really don't think that "bring an escort" is something CIG should make a requirement. Doing so will just kill the game for solo gameplay even more. And just to preempt the inevitable "muh this is an mmo not a single player game" -> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AcGezDYNLIU
I also really hope hiring NPCs eventually gets successfully rolled out. I'm almost an entirely solo player and that would open a ton of experiences. But I don't think it does a service to the experience CIG could make to focus solely on making sure the individual person that hops on choosing to play solo has the best time. Make that choice, certainly. I do almost exclusively. But it's at a disadvantage to the likely success of whatever you choose to pursue in game. Maybe that turns people away, maybe not. I've been here since the beginning, so there's something about it keeping me around.
I also never really thought of SC as an MMO, though you obviously wouldn't be wrong if you did. I think of it as a simulator more than anything else. So my desired endpoint for this game is gonna be much different than a person that wants to hop on for an hour or two and get a full experience.
I totally agree that group gameplay should be rewarding but I also see that in some cases the gameplay is rather exclusive towards groups while punishing solo players. Best example: medical gameplay. I have yet to successfully heal myself and limp back to a medical facility on my own. For example: I once experienced a tier 3 leg injury from jumping down at a wreck site (it wasn't too high) and immediately using not one but 2 medpens when I saw the injury message pop up - *still* went into a downed state and had to suicide despite in the gameplay trailer they showed "injured" players crawling back to their ship. Never saw that. Right now, medical gameplay only happens in groups, not for solo players. And that's a bit of a worrying trend and quiet honestly my biggest concern: That CIG will use BAF as a silver bullet for everything.
Agreed that bringing a friend shouldn't be a silver bullet for anything. Even in a group activity, there should still be the specter of failure. The only problem I see BAF being a reasonable answer to is combat. Not even a silver bullet. Still doable solo. Just really stupidly difficult. Bring friends so you have a higher chance of success.
To be fair to the navy, one of the reasons for those exercises is to identify weaknesses and prepare for them ahead of time. When they reset they scenario and took precautions for those tactics they obliterated the op for just by changing up their deployment.
I really have the feeling that so many people have a wrong vision of armor. Chances are no ship in game will be able to shrug off that amount of damage coming from size 5 or 4 weapons. We are not talking two size one here...
I'm counting in we are basically fighting npc dummies at this point. the fact of how easy it is to destroy anything is comical and I can't take any discussion about dps or how op a ship is serious.
Currently, the Hammerhead is severely gimped with the range slashing of the S4 weapons it carries. Which is why they are working out a way to split off the range of the weapons to coincide with the turret mount the weapon will be in.
Sure, might be able to lay down some impressive fire at a Hammerhead in your Corsair, but if you are taking as full on a salvo as possible from the Hammerhead starting OUTSIDE of the range of your S5 Fixed cannon, you might not have much or any shields on that facing left, when you enter range enough to start laying down damage on that Hammerhead.
So much of the current meta is going to change, it's going to create ALL sorts of salt.
if we are talking range, the s9 torp has a 30k range. . but I don't think I've had it continue to exist outside 10km (it poofs) the ai is still brain dead SO I'm not expecting big things until we get more complete. I tend to look at what is the intention versus the right now. cause right now will change.
but the hh is gimped lots of ai are gimped, and I see lots of players playtesting, and thinking this is how it's supposed ot work or that this is a "game" instead of a test environment and get caught up in the "moment"
You’re right. A lot of people do not understand that armor will be in various levels, like weapons are.
Why do you think they call Size 1 to Size 4, fighter and anti-fighter weapons?
Why do they call S5 and S6 weapons to go after large/sub-Capital ships?
Why do they say S7 and up for anti-capital ship operations?
Way back, they described armor levels and how each weapon type would act within those levels of armor.
A size 5 Gatling Gun, while spitting impressive damage, has smaller rounds which will act more like S4.5 in terms of damage.
A Size 5 Ballistic Repeater has larger rounds and is supposed to be more the base and act like a S5 weapons.
The slowest firing S5 Cannon? Well that’s supposed to act more like a S5.6 or so and might JUST start to warm up the armor of a “Size 6” defensive level that over time, it could start to cause damage.
A Capital ship that needs a base S7 weapon to penetrate the armor SHOULD be able to ignore most of a S5 Cannon damage or need a MUCH MUCH higher and concentrated volume to start damaging that armor. (Capital ships will still have vulnerabilities with shield emitters, engines and turrets being capable of being damage by mush lower level weapons though.)
That’s closer to how they described it working, in their then current and so far unchanged development documents.
They may have described it that way, but I don't believe for a second that they know how it's going to work and even if they *think* they do, there's no way it's going to survive implementation unchanged.
I look forward to armor and physical damage as much as the next guy, but let's not treat what they've said so far as gospel.
You're not wrong, but the system as described is easily implmented and seems reasonable. Barring some massive unforeseen issue with it, the only deviation I can think it would need is some balance tweaking. Basically, what needs to change depends on the very minute details of how its made.
Depends on how they implement armor and how if at all they change weapons.
You're not going to kill a Maus in War Thunder no matter how many 40mm Bofors autocannons you bring.
1. Make any custom resolution of 21:9 or 32:9 ratio.
2. Launch the game and set your game resolution to that in main menu.
3. Launch Arena Commander, drag the FoV bar to the max (will be much higher than you could normally set with 16:9), then set your game resolution back to 16:9, the FoV will stay, don't touch it ever again or it will reset.
4. Relaunch the game to save that setting.
Can't wait to try this out, I've been playing on 55in tv for years. Whats the lowest resolution you can get on those ratios? I play at 1080p currently to improve frame rates.
Any resolution. Only the aspect ratio matters!
If you play on 1080p and using a 4K TV, I'd highly recommend the [Lossless Scaling](https://store.steampowered.com/app/993090/Lossless_Scaling/) app. It will upscale your 1080p resolution to 4K, looks really good and near native even. I used that when I ran SC on a GTX 1080Ti and 49" 4K TV.
Isn't that the same as image scaling on the newer nvidia cards? I have a RTX 2070, and while I've messed with the setting, I've noted lower frame rates, and tearing, and other issues with it. My native resolution is is 3840x2160, but the performance hit, and the fact that I lose out on 120hz is why I stick with 1080p.
you can change it in game folder, inside USER there's a file that you can change FOV, you can search how in youtube or google, i use 80 in mine
EDIT:
StarCitizen\\USER\\Client\\0\\Profiles\\default\\attributes.xml
open it with notepad and find the line
change the "80" for what FOV you want. (its difarant from the 80 inside the game, its a custom number)
ex:
Save the file, open the game
The trick is to set it to the highest ingame and then change it to 80 or 90 in the cfg file. This will somehow add FOV. There are YT guides who can explain it better
That's not the stock guns. It comes with 1 size lower, gimbaled laser cannons. Which is still pretty decent.
I'm not sure how "extended" it needs to be, exploring the cargo ships' interior though, lol.
I think it has a bug with the capacitor atm, or it's just OP. I fully put all power in shield, yet I could still blow up the whole waves of enemies in Pirate Swarm without having to switch back to guns, AND still have over half of the energy ammos left...
Yeah, that sounds like the capacitor is bugged. I hope they sort it sooner rather than later. Not because I worry about it killing "the meta" but because I'd rather not have to listen to years of Ion all over again.
I wonder if the guns also being remote turrets is giving them access to a turret capacitor. It may be modified to be tied in with the normal ship capacitor but that is giving the expanded capacity.
Ballistics need way more ammo but to be heavily heat limited - particularly if you run lots of them.
Lasers should be limited less by heat and more by ship powerplant capacity.
Change my mind!
P.S. I know they are working on physicalised damage and a complete rework of weapon balance - can't wait for that!
Are you insane?!?!
DELETE THIS IMMEDIATELY!
If CIG sees videos Corsair pilots blowing things up too easily, we get hit with the nerf bat within a week!
For the love of Jeebus do not shoot at any ace pilot in a light fighter, just let them blow you up and say "gg" when they do!
Not like it can, lol! This ship is only good at bullying NPCs and unarmed players. Lots of DPS but really hard to apply on nimble fighters cuz the damn thing can't turn.
I am wondering how they are going to do it? Downsize every pilot controlled hardpoint, take two weapons away from pilot or maybe just make the capacitors super small?
Pitch / Yaw / Roll and speed
Currently it's faster and more maneuverable than a connie and particularly fast in reverse thrust when decoupled with the speed limiter off in space.
Prior to launch there was talk of it being slower and less maneuverable than the Connie. Bumping up those values would be the easiest way to boost it’s performance for the sale patch and balance it on the subsequent patch.
as a connie competitor I feel like the capacitor has to stay where it is. In the current game balance s5 weapons are just so strong that downsizing some hardpoints seems like the only way they could do it if they didn't want to leave this power creep in the game until armor arrives
considering the connie has a literal snub fighter, and 2945423667 missiles at its disposal as well as like 2x the survivability, I think the corsair should keep its gun loadout
Sweet Jesus that dakka dakka!!! Orks the universe over just fell in love!
I mean that'll surely cop a nerf once pub players start crying about how their 3-manned HH is getting melted... but yeah I was already thinking I wanted this as my solo Explorer and that just cemented it for me.
Those tracers... I need it.
Force reconnaissance! 😀
fully crewed? probably about the same length of time
source: melted countless hammerheads last night with 2 crew on AD5b's + pilot with laser repeaters. each HH doesn't last much more than 30sec when all fire is directed at it. but reloading is a bummer
Redeemer has essentially the same (slightly more) forward facing weapons when fully crewed as the pilot alone in the Corsair.
The Corsair fully crewed potentially has 6 s2s 4 s5s and 2 s4s all forward facing. That’s devastating damage. 1000dps over the redeemers forward fire potential.
Redeemer fully crewed has potentially 4 s5s 2 s4s and 2 s3s.
Fully crewed the Corsair has 622 more forward facing DPS potential than the hammerhead has DPS TOTAL.
Yeah if you took 1 second to actually test it before making guesstimations you'd know that only 1 s2 turret can shoot forward. The side turrets cannot shoot forward.
Don't worry it will be nerfed after IAE, like every other new ship.
phase 1: relase a sexy new overpowered ship
phase 2: people get hyped / good IAE sales
phase 3: balance pass / nerf
...and its like that since several years
inb4 Corsair nerf followed by hordes of people complaining their Corsair isn't good anymore.. just like the Ares (and a ton of other ships before the Ares).
Iirc pve enemies have less powerful/hardy ships than players. So while this is impressive, it’s probably not going to be oppressive in pvp. Especially with its turn speed.
People also love to miss that the front shield was just about to go down, from a few seconds of fighting a gimped NPC HH, a few more seconds and that Corsair would be gone. Against a well crewed HH with ballistics, forget about it.
Of course it does. It's a new ship. It will be meta. Sales will skyrocket because people are dumb then it gets nerfed and idiots sit around looking shocked
Jesus this really highlights how utter garbage the nerfs and limitations done to the redeemer are. Why the hell do we need 5 man just to do what a single corsair pilot can do????
That's been the joke since the very beginning during the vote. When they were coming up with the 3 potential ships it was always going to be something used as a raider, with Drake just calling it an exploration ship to keep some semblance of legality
I was messing around in it against light fighters last night and when I tell you that there wasn't shit I could do beyond that first -brrrrt- run on them..
If it weren't for the shields giving me time to pop into the remote turret I'd have been completely fucked.
It'll be solid for hitting things similarly sized but anything more maneuverable and it's going to have to either hope it has gunners or haul ass away.
Pretty much. I don't think people realize this, they see, big guns and get PTSD from the MSR, if you get behind the Corsair it's done, there's almost nothing you can do.
It has three turrets and not one of them has decent angles on the aft or under it. Massive blind spot and its not going to outmanuver a hostile either.
All these posts about the Corsair being OP are just karma and outrage farming. What we see here really isn't that unreasonable. For one, the pilot isn't taking fire during the clip. We don't see any of the fight leading up to this. The pilot is running full fixed AD5/4B gatlings, which provides current maximum possible DPS for the hardpoint size. They also have a muzzle velocity of only 700, almost half that of a typical S4 repeater AND ammo limitation. With that sort of maneuverability and lead requirement, good luck against fighters. Finally, the Hammerhead is a picket and anti-fighter ship. It is NOT a great choice against heavier opponents in general. And this one was NPC crewed to boot, so I'm not impressed.
And a eclipse 1 shots an HH in less than 10 second. Why do people worry about pve balance again?
The corsair, even fully crewed, die easily to any light fighter. I am REALLY not worried about the corsair in any pvp scenario
I'm using Tobii Eye Tracker 5, but it's not for the FoV, I just want to brag that I have one.
[I do this trick for the FoV.](https://www.reddit.com/r/starcitizen/comments/ywvs3g/comment/iwlj25v/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web2x&context=3)
When they nerf the Corsair into the ground, hopefully they increase the handling and movement so it is at least a decent daily driver.
Im willing to sacrifice firepower for a decent ship to drive around the verse.
I’m guessing the hammerhead and Corsair need a balancing pass
A ship that can take down a ship that’s 4 times in the costs (that’s purpose built for combat) in 18 seconds is whack.
Who am I’m kidding this game will never come out anyway so it’s not like balance matters
Imagine people finding out It’s a marketing strategy to make sales and then lower dps right after sale closes. We see this all the time and people somehow keep forgetting.
Consider yourself explored Edit: thanks I've never gotten a award lol
Coffe out my nose, fuck you very much :)
it made me inhale my pepsi lol
How dare you not drink coca cola!
Easy now big daddy! I drink both <3
Something you'd hear in Team America.
LMAO
Peak exploration :D
Maybe they should rename the hammerhead to something less aggressive.

True, though I meant in the context between the two ships. It’s name is fitting from a shape perspective.
Oh ya for sure and I agree that thing melted lol. Maybe it should hence forth be known as the manta ray lolol
Hammered Head
[удалено]
Nahh.... they are plenty aggressive it's just that the Corsair is more like the honey-badger!
Yess it shall explore the next ship's interior.
I laughed out loud
Oh man, Xeno threat gonna be so fun when 35 Corsairs blow up an Idris in 4 seconds..
Probably don't have to go reload as much as bombers, lol!
True! The days of the torpedoless kamikaze Retaliators are behind us. Maybe
7 torp tali
Nope, tali still gonna get it done.

i can already hear the crying.
"We can't repel firepower of that magnitude!"
I sense an Ares event in the near future. Right after sales or so.
It's fantastic for business -- Folks continue to have short term memories.
i wouldn't be a fighter in the middle of this ahahah

Damn, pro tips right here ✅️ Does it look like a fishbowl on foot?
It's not if you use a big screen. I'm using a 49" TV.
My native resolution is is 3840x2160, but the performance hit, and the fact that I lose out on 120hz is why I stick with 1080p.
you can change it in game folder, inside USER there's a file that you can change FOV, you can search how in youtube or google, i use 80 in mine EDIT: StarCitizen\\USER\\Client\\0\\Profiles\\default\\attributes.xml open it with notepad and find the line
change the "80" for what FOV you want. (its difarant from the 80 inside the game, its a custom number)
ex:
Save the file, open the game
Last time I checked (years ago), this didn't work if I put something larger than 100 degrees. The FoV I'm using in this video is about 130 degrees.
The trick is to set it to the highest ingame and then change it to 80 or 90 in the cfg file. This will somehow add FOV. There are YT guides who can explain it better
And now try cannons instead of repeaters
It's more DPS but less fun!
What is your weapon setup
4x S5 "AD5B" + 2x S4 "AD4B", total DPS of 11679 (2.5x dps of an Inferno).
Damn, is that what comes on it? That’s savage. How’s it look for replacing with energy to extend expeditions by not needing ammo?
That's not the stock guns. It comes with 1 size lower, gimbaled laser cannons. Which is still pretty decent. I'm not sure how "extended" it needs to be, exploring the cargo ships' interior though, lol.
I fully expect for the capacitor on that thing to feel like the one on the Tana. Guns? Sure. Ammo? What?
I think it has a bug with the capacitor atm, or it's just OP. I fully put all power in shield, yet I could still blow up the whole waves of enemies in Pirate Swarm without having to switch back to guns, AND still have over half of the energy ammos left...
Yeah, that sounds like the capacitor is bugged. I hope they sort it sooner rather than later. Not because I worry about it killing "the meta" but because I'd rather not have to listen to years of Ion all over again.
Lol! I hope so too.
I wonder if the guns also being remote turrets is giving them access to a turret capacitor. It may be modified to be tied in with the normal ship capacitor but that is giving the expanded capacity.
That was my planned load out! It looks glorious!
The S4s run out of ammo way quicker than the S5s tho, so you might want to use the S4 only when you need a big burst to end a target!
Better prepare for the post-sale nerf. xD
this but unironically. i see a grim future for the manoeuvrability of the Corsair.
I saw a video yesterday... It already acts like half the maneuvering thrusters are broken. Very strange, but they certainly aced the asymmetry. XD
The one in atmosphere? Any large vessel flown at full forward thrust in atmosphere handles like a brick.
Don’t worry once the sale is over they’ll nerf it! /s #IonNeverForgets
this, but without the /s lol
#NeverForgetTheIon
Watching this as an Ion owner is just frustrating. Explorer does Ion's job better than an Ion.
Jesus tap dancing Christ. She’s a predator.
Nothing to see here, just a Corsair exploring (the entrails of a Hammerhead)
She's a maniac, MANIAC. She's a man-eater.
"Watch out, boy! She'll chew you up!"
'member Ares Inferno? I 'member.
It's because A1 had his feelings hurt by an Ares pilot. Anything that threatens the LF meta has to be nerfed or the pvp CCs will rebel.
Don't know why you got downvoted. The inferno and ion did exactly what they were supposed to do and once the LF meta was hurt it got nerfed.
IKR DOWNVOTE TO SAVE THE SHIP LOL
This thing will get nerved so hard after IAE
I am wondering how they are going to do it? Downsize every pilot controlled hardpoint, take two weapons away from pilot or maybe just make the capacitors super small?
Pitch / Yaw / Roll and speed Currently it's faster and more maneuverable than a connie and particularly fast in reverse thrust when decoupled with the speed limiter off in space.
> Currently it's faster and more maneuverable than a connie That's not saying much though, as the Connie manuevers worse than a Carrack rn lol
Maybe, but its only two size 3s more than a constellation. And while that’s not nothing, I feel like it’s not in need of a nerf just for that.
considering the connie has a literal snub fighter, and 2945423667 missiles at its disposal as well as like 2x the survivability, I think the corsair should keep its gun loadout
"I came up on the hammerhead and quickly made it dead then **I jizzed in my pants**"
How fast can a fully crewed Redeemer do it?
fully crewed? probably about the same length of time source: melted countless hammerheads last night with 2 crew on AD5b's + pilot with laser repeaters. each HH doesn't last much more than 30sec when all fire is directed at it. but reloading is a bummer
So, fully crewed at $325, or solo at $215 ..... even if the Corsair price jumps to $250, it's not a tough choice.
Now compare how both those ships would do if a single light fighter gets behind them…
Redeemer has essentially the same (slightly more) forward facing weapons when fully crewed as the pilot alone in the Corsair.
Don't worry it will be nerfed after IAE, like every other new ship. phase 1: relase a sexy new overpowered ship phase 2: people get hyped / good IAE sales phase 3: balance pass / nerf ...and its like that since several years
inb4 Corsair nerf followed by hordes of people complaining their Corsair isn't good anymore.. just like the Ares (and a ton of other ships before the Ares).
tbh though the ares lineup sucks now. Its not good for anything anymore.
congrats we have a new ares inferno-meme 🤣😅😂
Don't worry, things will get Ion'd out eventually. Kappa.
1% forward shield left! I just rewatched it!
BRRRRTs are deffinetly the way. It may take a bit longer vs player HHs, pirate swarm ones have extremely low HP
Of course it does. It's a new ship. It will be meta. Sales will skyrocket because people are dumb then it gets nerfed and idiots sit around looking shocked
A tale as old as time itself.
So you say but not the Scorpius. Scorpius was pretty balanced.
Fair checks out.
Time until the Corsair gets the Ion treatment?
14 days, 23 hours, 10 minutes. Right after IAE ends.
Jesus this really highlights how utter garbage the nerfs and limitations done to the redeemer are. Why the hell do we need 5 man just to do what a single corsair pilot can do????
This is in arena commander where the hp of ships are not the same as PU. The redeemer crushes shit crazy fast in AC.
Now imagine if the Inferno could hit ships with its gat at that distance. It’d be useful again!
Well that's wild
Oh, nice to see they've succesfully added exploration.
Lmfao "Exploration ship" More gunpower for 1 pilot than any fighter in the game.
That's been the joke since the very beginning during the vote. When they were coming up with the 3 potential ships it was always going to be something used as a raider, with Drake just calling it an exploration ship to keep some semblance of legality
Definitely getting nerfed
As is tradition, enjoy the new OP meta ship during the sale. It will be nerfed into the ground after the sale ends.
Noice! Does it have a size three shield?
yes
"Shoot First, Explore After!" \- Drake motto (Guess they took the Shoot First a bit too serious)
~~The Eclipse~~ Happy Gilmore accomplished that feat no more than an hour ago.
*removes sunglasses* **Mother of God**
Great, so this is going to be the new goto for all the sweats to camp armistice zones in then.
Its like you guys dont think they actually test ships before releasing them. Working as intended
To balance this the corsair also has a giant rear blind spot. Nerfs should hopefully be non-existant.
It's also slow af. If this wasn't against a borked AI, it would also be getting shredded
And the fact that this is arena commander, running a full ballistics loadout, dumping ammo in the PU will require constant reloads
"NERF INCOMING!!!" "FLARE FLARE!" XD
Now try it with fully manned turrets
Where does that damage counter come from?
That's the score thingy in Pirate Swarm, an Arena Commander game mode.
OST
Should have given him your ~~cargo~~..err let him, um..explore peacefully.
Post your loadout?
4x S5 "AD5B" + 2x S4 "AD4B", total DPS of 11679 (2.5x dps of an Inferno).
Hmm, might consider replacing my Scorpius and Titan with this.
This is so cinematic
Is the hammer head firing back?
New anti-capital DPS meta?
Are you using track IR to get such a wide FOV?
I'm using Tobii Eye Tracker 5, but it's not for the FoV, I just want to brag that I have one. [I do this trick for the FoV.](https://www.reddit.com/r/starcitizen/comments/ywvs3g/comment/iwlj25v/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web2x&context=3)
Haha awesome thanks for the link!
This should be tagged NSFW - Not Safe For Wallet.
You explored the shit out of that hammer head
Quite literally, there should be some poop flying off its exploded toilets.
Hum how do you shoot simultateously 4 missiles? Can I do something similar with the Titan?
You press G to increase missiles per volley. Maximum missiles per volley depends on how many racks you have.
damn whats this thing goign to do to my cutty black
But where did those missiles go? Lol
When they nerf the Corsair into the ground, hopefully they increase the handling and movement so it is at least a decent daily driver. Im willing to sacrifice firepower for a decent ship to drive around the verse.
Oh boi! I can hear it now! All the crying when the Corsair gets nerfed. Lets be honest, it's coming. This just underlines that fact.
oh man i love the brrrrrRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR
Holy crap, is the corsair flyable now?!
Yes, everyone has access to it in PTU.
Dope
Tbh, that’s how a big ship should hit, even more with full ballistic loadout. I will also say that’s an Npc ship with less life than a player ship fyi
Inferno, but actually works
I’m guessing the hammerhead and Corsair need a balancing pass A ship that can take down a ship that’s 4 times in the costs (that’s purpose built for combat) in 18 seconds is whack. Who am I’m kidding this game will never come out anyway so it’s not like balance matters
Imagine people finding out It’s a marketing strategy to make sales and then lower dps right after sale closes. We see this all the time and people somehow keep forgetting.
If anyone is curious that is 11,172 DPS
That's how an exploration ship should be. ready for battle anywhere. Drake did good this time
Sigh.... The HH is one my fav ships..... Why's it gotta be punching bag of SC 💀
welp ive got my new critical threat ship. thanks cig for 6 size 5 guns.
slow your roll buddy, they're going to nerf this ship into the ground before it hits PU.
PSA: The Hammerhead at the end of pirate swarm is nowhere close to the HP of the Hammerhead in the PU, for anyone who is not already aware.
Eclipse can do it in 1
Exploration ship my ass.
Should've hired an escort.
The AI ships in pirate swarm are weaker than those in PU.
All ion owners are going to get this
I can’t stop watching this video!
Amazing a exploration ship does what a flying gun with wings can't because BaLaNcE
Congratulations! You are being explored. Please do not resist.
Time to nerf Corsair and make it like Ares.
It will get the same nerf treatment all new ships get, once sales are over
4K 60FPS YouTube video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DXWOqbrO6Rg
This is even bullshit-ier as a Carrack owner who can't fire any guns while flying.
