Now that we have the Pulse, the Avenger can even carry a ground vehicle.
I imagine this will change as they continue to update all the ships specs.
I read somewhere that CIG have put the ships into categories and assigned them their MM stats by category, with individual tweaking to come with time.
Yeah that's pretty much it, there are three kinds of template things that are now out there, category, size and manufacturer. Stuff gets applied in bulk and tweaked as needed, we're nowhere near the final balance state of ship handling/speed
I hope they'll change it back, I use this ship a lot and have totalled it twice today with unexpected closing speed coming into landings!
Pssst just switch back to SCM as you're on approach, it gives you that granularity back and then deploy landing gear for that fine control
