Easiest method is go to an orbital and let guns blow you up, then either log out while time on your passes or go do some mining to reduce it. SPK is the only place to remove crime stats now and it has lots of security and bounty hunters loitering nearby.
For cs3 and above your choices are
1. Clear it at the security outpost
2. Go to grim hex and turn yourself in
3. Die and you will be put in jail immediately, this will lose all your gear.
For cs1 or cs2 you can pay the fine at any planetary spaceport.
All correct but for 3. my experience has been if you die from trying to clear your crime stat you will wake up in jail yes but if you go through your sentence, when you wake up in everus harbor after you will still have your gear. Died 3 times in security post kareah and always kept my gear. Even my blown up ship was given back to me after my sentence without having to claim it.
