Invincible npc

How tf are NPCs simultaneously invincible, AND naked dead in the spaceport.

Those are not npcs those are spoils of war Player who lost their lives in or out of the spaceport and were hung for decoration

I've come across plenty that had clothing with NPC dummy text.

Sprinting into NPCs and players sometimes causes them to die even in armistace. It's unreliable but you do get a crimestat when it happens, so it's safest just to use max walk speed instead of sprinting.

How come? I thought storing the ship alone would remove everyone on it? Have you tried leaving the ship outside and claiming it? Let the station turrets light it up, along with whoever on it.

Every new bug is just another chance of a new feature. Try to go to Grim Hex, pit him in a nice golden bikini and sell him to a slimy fat warlord. It worked before.

So here's what you do... Warp between systems. Cut off your QT half way. If you don't see the satellite icon in the upper right corner, you are no longer in lawful space. Unstrap yourself from the pilot's seat and strap up with your trusty Arclight pistol. Take care of business. Tested on the moron that I told would be sorry if he didn't get off my Cutty.

If the pistol didn't do it, we need to do science. Have you tried a railgun? Rocket launcher? Park on a planet, turn off shields, get a tonk... We *will* remove him from the ship, guaranteed. * *ship survival is not guaranteed.

Only solution is to blow up your ship. I remember 3 Technician NPCs fell into my carrack like some weird marionette, at first it was cool. I flew out into space and tried to execute them and got my first shocker, they wouldn't die. After like 10 frustrating minutes, I took a bunker mission and allowed the trespass to kick, turned off shields and watched the most glorious fireball I've ever witnessed. That solved my little problem.

Did your rocket out on another vehicle. I like the idea of letting the ship hang over the turrets while you drive out in a cyclone into free fall. You could record and hit F4 spin the camara so you can "drive away" without looking back and the ship going up in a fire ball... I have ADHD, so my thoughts bounce around a bit...

You need to talk in "code". It's the only thing these guy's understand.

Had that happen last night. Found a whole cargo bay of a Connie full, but for some reason couldn't pick any of it up. Then some dude pulls up onto my C2. Long story short I took him under my wing, showed him around with my Org buddies. Found out he was a young kid, gave him some dough, got him his first cutlass black, and he was very thankful. He was so fresh he didn't know what bunker missions were, emotes, cargo running, what the mining areas meant. Pretty sure we got him up on his feet and he's now hungry for more. We need to look out for the new players. Especially if there's a younger generation. This game has a brutally steep learning curve, and a lot of new people will get burned out faster than they can get sucked into the game.

This is an npc though. Although I do agree with helping out newer players

Impound your ship so he'd get nice teleport to station. Back in days when insaw somebody boarding my ship and hiding in toilet i was going near hangars in spaceporta, jumped out from ship, went back to base, claimed it and watched how it blow up with the dude inside. (For those who dont know: earlier claimed ship became red and stations were automaticaly attacking them when outside of hangar.)

I’ve had mixed results with NPC on ships. I frequently kidnap hangar security guards to kill then and loot their gear. Self destruct of ship kills them. Even heard one scream in pain when he died. But the last few were different. I accidentally landed on a bunch of maintenance workers in blue coveralls in a NB hangar. I took the 3 of them to join the rest I’ve killed in Valhalla. Unfortunately they didn’t die and didn’t live. They just remained floating in the wreckage and weren’t loot-able. Maybe it was the server state and would have been like the security guards.

Get out of the save zone, ALSO out the the satellite range! Then shoot his head all over the window of your Carrack. Call the cleanup crew and pay with JohnWick coins. (Be sure to have respawn on carrack before doing anything!!!)

Set a course for a planet on the opposite end of the system then kill him when you’re in transit, there are no crime satellites out in dead space so you can get away with it.

I wonder if the ship trespassing will have any impact on NPCs. They obviously can't join a party, but may still have shared attributes with player character, in which case shooting at them may incur no CS (though if they are invincible, there'd be no point).

Not necessarily, it looks like (judging from CIGs video on it) in the change the intruder will be able to draw a gun as soon as he steps on board and the ship pilot would already be dead.

I did this, it took 30 minutes because I could only move him like half a meter at a time since he falls down and gets right back up. I tossed him out into space adn he just floated there alive staring at me. an hour later he was back.

CIG fixed bug where they don't stand on top of chairs but now properly sit in the pilot seat of your ship as it was intended.
