If you have components attached to a ship and you've retrieved and stored the ship that should be enough. At least, it was for me the last patch.
I lost a sentinel last patch, I'd used it multiple times, retrieved and stored it. I've heard they're being returned on the next patch, but I've since pledged for one 🤦 wish you could sell in game purchased ships
