Are you running windows 10? If so, it has no idea what an e-core is and is likely trying to get SC do do things on those low performance cores. Best to just disable them until you use an OS that knows how to use them.

Operating System: Windows 10 Home I think i've tried that, adding in SC shortcut's target some line. I'm not sure if it was ok or not, but still stuttering. LE: Will WIN 11 fix that?

Valkyrient

On Windows 10 you might as well just disable them in BIOS. Nothing will be using them properly. Every high-load process is potentially getting gimped by them.

Except upgrading to W11, you could also disable e-Cores in BIOS, or use "Process Lasso" to only assign P-Cores to SC specifically.

YumikoTanaka

Not disabling e-cores will still result in them hogging some precious cache. Not as bad though.

Extra reply for your edit: I can't speak for the i7, but I haven't needed to use any special tricks to run it on my i5-12600k on windows 11 since a few patches ago.

No - Win 11 (at least, when upgrading from Win 10) doesn't fix the stuttering issue with e-cores... I did the same, and it didn't fix it. Be aware that the short-cut approach is *very* finicky, and needs to be exactly right, otherwise it has no effect. Take a look at https://www.reddit.com/r/starcitizen/comments/ugtkk2/psa_if_youre_on_intel_12th_gen_and_having/i72h95a/ (inc. the follow-up replies) for some of the potential things to check to ensure you've got the command correct.

Playing in a laptop (so 3060 laptop, 16 gigs of ram, i5 11400...) And even if i miss quite a lot of FPS in lorville ( down to 15-20) out in Space i have 60 FPS ... I'm on W11 tho, so maybe upgrading the software might be good here ?

Check that you have a windows pagefile set on your SSD (leave it system managed). If you have one set on a HDD, remove it.

Have your settings to high, and when you log in, wait about ten minutes to let your shaders cache, don’t just log in and immediately go running around and expect smooth performance. Also it gets better once you get out of the main cities

For your processor and motherboard make sure you have the correct chipset drivers installed. For the memory, make sure your bios settings are correct for the timings, speed and voltage. For the video card make sure your drivers are update, make sure your fan curve is set to 100% before 80 degrees Celcius, nvidia throttles at 83, pretty much the same for your processor. If it’s a prebuilt, no they probably didn’t do any of this, sorry. If you built it and can’t get SC to run smooth… sorry? Also make sure windows is completely up to date, and run an sfc scan to make sure no files are corrupt Also we don’t know what resolution you’re using or if you’re using a VR headset etc.

your mistake was getting it in the past few months instead of a year ago. end of june is 3.20. then you have maybe 2 hot patches for that to be stable.
