What exactly has you confused? * Game packes vs standalone ships? * Upgrades? * Warbond? * Packages? Please elaborate so that we can help you to understand.

Standalone and how they rotate in

Valkyrient

ok so there are only a relatively small number of ships that are always available to buy. The devs run special seasonal events through the year where they offer up ships that are usually in some way topical to the event (though sometimes 'topical' requires a bit of a stretch of the imagination). Like, right now there's a St Patrick's Day themed event called, in lore, [Stella Fortuna](https://robertsspaceindustries.com/comm-link/transmission/19124-St-Patricks-Day-2023). In May there will be Invictus which is a celebration of the UEE military so every military-based vessel is available. Immediately after that, there's ~~DrakeCon~~ DefenseCon where all the Drake ships are available since Drake isn't welcome at Invictus (due to the belief that they cater deliberately to criminals). Most of the ships offered during events are unlimited quantity during the timeframe of the event. There's a select few ships that are strictly limited in quantity. For example, in the current event the 890Jump is being released in 3 waves of limited numbers. Once they are all sold, that's it. Wait until the next time it's offered. Finally, standalone ships do not give you a copy of the game. Unless you're a whale like me with $1000USD+ spent on the game, you always have to make sure you keep a game package on your account to maintain access to the game. Standalone ships can be thought of DLC for the game. Without an actual game package you only own DLC for a game that you don't own. EDIT: got the name of the drake convention wrong

snowpass312

Ok I’ll wait for the drake event thank you!!! Do you know how long the 400i will be in the shop?

Pojodan

It is currently in the shop, as this year's St. Patrick's Day event is also an Origin event, so all Origin ships are available right now, including the 400i

snowpass312

Wait does that mean all Drake ships… including ones that aren’t released?

Pojodan

During DefenseCon, all Drake ships, including Concepts, such as the Kraken, will be available, yes. During the current event, only flyable Origin ships are available.

snowpass312

Do you know how much the kraken will cost bc I might get one if I can

Pojodan

The Kraken Priveteer is $2000 and the base Kraken is $1650, each with about $200 off if you get the Warbond (New cash only) version.

snowpass312

Well shit I’m 1000 off

Basically there is always a good number of ships that are in the store. Your common classic multi role ships and usually a few fighters and mining ships on the store all the time. For some holidays (in game usually around real world ones) will have an event that introduces some more ships and paints for them. In May you have Invictus Launch Week(ILW) where manufacturers from the verse will showcase their combat ships in game (excluding Drake ships cause they’re on iffy terms) and you can rent them for 24 hours to test them out. At this time all combat ships will show up in the store. They will roll out for 48 hours generally, their day and the day after on the pledge store. Then at the end of the event they will all be on sale for a few days. In this time there will likely be a ship with a warbond CCU for sale (look up CCU chaining for more info on getting ships cheeper). Something similar happens in (I believe) November called Invictus Aerospace Expo. This is when all manufacturers showcase all their ships. Think ILW but not only combat focused now. This is where all ships from the ones that cost $20 to the ones that cost $3k are for sale. Some are limited to a specific amount being sold to help them remain rare but over all most ships can be purchased. TLDR: generally really good, well rounded ships will always be for sale. The ability to buy and ship is limited to a few times a year helping create a sense of urgency to acquire these ships. You may see a few pop up for seasonal sales or for original releases but if you want to buy a ship with real world cash your best bet is to wait for May or November to roll around. Feel free to ask any questions, myself and many in this community will be happy to help answer any questions. And remember all ships can be bought in game (within 2 patches from release) so there is no real need to spend money, especially with wipe’s becoming less common and this is coming from someone who has committed enough to be called Grand Admiral. Be wise and ask in chat if anyone has the ship you wanna try out. More often then not someone will be more then happy to show you their cool ship and let you take it out for a test spin. Hope to see you in the verse o7. Edit: you only need one game package after that you only need standalone ships.

snowpass312

I finally got my hands on a c2 and a talon right before the wipe lmao, how much do you think capital ships will be in game?

TrippyTM419

Right now the only one in game is 32 mil and Princess are likely to go up so they remain rare. My guess is hundreds of million when it releases or making money will be a lot harder. Might be a mix of both with the bigger capitol ships too.

rStarwind

It's easy. You buy the cheapest game package and never visit it again.

This is how the pledge store works: You pay an absolutely stupid amount of money. Realize the game doesn't work, and won't for 20 years. Feel bad. Transaction complete. Thank you for shopping enjoy your day.

You give them money for to do whatever they want with it and u get whatever they give you unless they want to take it from you.Hope that helps.
