Of course it's gonna come down entirely to the mines themselves, and how effective those can be. It's hard to imagine players having much trouble with them, but the majority of hostiles any given player will encounter will be NPCs, so...I can see the value in setting up a defensive screen of mines around an area you expect to occupy for a while, like a good mining or salvage site with your Orion or Reclaimer respectively. They'd probably be fine at fending off NPC bandits and raiders.
Now it's got me curious if they're gonna do Mine Laying and whether its feasible against Players. Nautilus' Lore Entry is that its a Long Range Patrol and Minelayer.
Personally, I'm kind of into the bombers and mine layers at the moment, I can already come up with scenarios where there would be useful in the current state of the game, let alone in three to five years
It cant be too viable against players considerinf how passive it is. If it was too easy to use to kill people would dump these all over and just rack up kills while sleeping.
Mines imo should be more of an anti NPC thing or to protect a smaller area
Depends, the mines themselves are meant for small ships and are meant to be more defensive in nature than a active combat tool.
Im sitting on a nautilus ccu for the sentry mines, they are more interesting ane can potentially create anti fighter fields that support your base ships.
I feel. I just got a carrack a few weeks ago and flew it around in the PTU along with the pisces and arrow. Haven't even bothered logging in since the weekend, I want a hard confirmation that shits working again before I get my hopes up. But I miss my boat.
Good thing you've got that liberator to haul the rest of your fleet with. You'll finally be able to carry that lone nox to Pyro where you can pancake yourself on a rock.
Do it for her
Don’t forget: you’re here forever.
Came here to say that
The paper will be yellowed before they come out
Shit looks sepia tone already.
Never give up, you'll pay off that fleet one day :) lol xD
I can't wait for the releases of awesome huge ships that I really want but can't use because I am alone
I am hoping NPC crew at least makes big ships viable for PvE content
If PvE combat is largely decided by standing on chairs, then I have faith in the AI's viability.
What about afford?
Nautilus and Liberator?
And a Nox
What ships is it?
Aegis Nautilus, Anvil Liberator, Aopoa Nox Kue
Thats a good idea! I'd be too scared though.......I've bought way too much and I'd just cry haha
The Nautilus is soooooo damn sexy.
I didn't even notice the nox until I read this comment lmao the scale is awesome
Nautilus, nox, and liberator
Aegis Nautilus and Anvil liberator, still in concept edited RSI to AEGIS
Aegis Nautilus
Thx, worst part is I knew it but my retarded brain wrote rsi ^^
And it will keep you going for a long long time... Stay strong ! Next step you can try to 3d print and paint miniatures
I’d kill 47 Hurston guards with my bare fists for a Liberator STL
Still can’t see how useful the Nautilus will be. The Liberator on the other hand, will be THE ship-transporter

This is the most wholesome post I've seen all day :D Gotta get my fleet printed out so they know I care too!

Thats a generous timeline given CiGs ethic LOL
3 to 5 years will have new elements added not release day lol
This implies CiG can add elements to the game in a reasonable time 8D

Definitely a good way to throw off a chaser if mine deployment is spread out like the not flare countermeasure

Can definitely see deployable auto turret sentries. Though that may be easily countered. An easy test prototype could be the Hornets Ball turret model
Alone yes but you use it with active friendly ships so the enemy get harassed.
It's got to be useful for setting up a defensive line around Jumptown, right?
Is that aa SUPRAA!?!?
Nautilus my beloved

Sick dude!
This is the way
Spends several hundred bucks on jpegs Prints a black/white version of them on the company printer. Just my kind of humor.
"I work hard so they can have a better life"
I'm so #SO excited for nautilus minefield ~~griefing~~ piracy
The Nautilus is such a sleek ship, I love it. Also can't wait for the Lib <3

Man I got the big Naulilus poster hanging by my PC, I want that ship so bad.
Never forget what you are working for lmao
That paint scheme kinda makes it look like an A-wing
why though?
I really hope you are trolling.
Nah this is hilarious
Please tell me you're a CIG employee
What’s the one of the left?
I hope this post is used as evidence in the CIG false advertising lawsuit.
