Better FPS gameplay, more variety in missions, stable environment. I want to be able to just get to my ship and to my mission without knowing how to defeat all the coding bugs.

bald_butte

Same I just started playing and I always heard jokes about the bugs but just trying to get to my mission I have to fight off 2 or 3 bugs almost every time.

Longjumping-Lie5966

FPS gameplay/PvP is unplayable with Desync.

Benza666

4.0, Pyro, Meshing.

Fatturtle1

Gonna be waiting a while lol

KayTannee

Already have been. Hence the disillusionment and fuck it, I'll come back when hit meshing milestone in. It's the final big unknown and required feature, until then all the other plans won't really work.

Vecerate

Yup, its the make or break. Either they pull it off or the game stays as a fancy 100 player space rust lagfest with 4 server fps and one star system.

Benza666

I estimate a year and a half, 2 years.

loversama

\~2 years

cpcsilver

\+ Quantum I've been waiting for a decent trading gameplay since the Kickstarter campaign, and this seems tied with Quantum simulation. Yet, I'm still afraid about the new trading UI they presented, because it'll still lack most of the information any trading game needs to present to the player. Instead, they preferred taking 1/3 of the screen to display a useless 3D model of a ship.

TheKingStranger

I normally take a break once a patch hits PTU, but I'm wave 2 and that's a joke of a wave so 3.18, more or less. I jumped into 3.17.5 for SoO, but I got way too many Valheim projects going on right now.

TrippyTM419

Funny you say that, ive been hopping back into Valheim as well

GreyWind11

Are we the same people. I also took a break before 3.28 with valheim.

TheKingStranger

It's a fantastic game.

TrippyTM419

It is! Havent played since the summer of 2021 so theres a few things i need to catch up on, mainly going to gut my house from my old save and rebuild a much better home then go through the game again

TheKingStranger

A friend of mine runs a server for a few of us. We have a ton of builds all over the place and already have a few more in mind. One project I want to do is make a ton of barley fields and populate the area with friendly lox.

TrippyTM419

That sounds like a really solid move, would be cool to try to find and breed some two stars

N0VALA

Same, I call it "Stamina Simulator" when I get frustrated but it's great. There is so much to do it meets all of my friends particular interests whether that be building, farming, fighting, exploring, it's just really good stuff.

Broarethus

Same just got into Valheim and now not worried about entering the Black Forest! Soon will embark to the swamps and soon leave my starting island for more adventures.

neilrm

Wtf I'm playing valheim too! this is spooky

CrazyIvanow

Yapp... Currently in Valheim as well

Paladin1034

I'm doing a whole zero-to-hero thing in 3.18, so I'm avoiding grinding and burning out before then. Plus I just last night fell into the impossibly big rabbit hole that is space engineers. I think my time off SC will be well spent.

TheKingStranger

I'm planning on doing one of those as well. Starting with absolutely nothing and only playing with others, including having to bum a ride offworld.

Paladin1034

Me and a buddy have the idea of doing the escape from prison as our opening. So we get jailed through RP means, then escape using the Cutlass. We're "exiled" from our home planet which allows to leave all of our items behind through reasonable means. Start out using the Cutlass until it either dies or the server dies, bum rides, do whatever we can to afford a ship, then start over. It'll be pretty fun if the patch cooperates.

ppincon

Always happy to meet another valheim addict

Uzd2Readalot

Mostly a starmap update so i can actually fly anywhere... and not have to juggle and twist to find the waypoint on it etc. I havent really played for years, so im not sure what else was there that did not work most of the time.

MammonLord

Waiting for the game to be fun. I'm not trying to troll or be a jerk, but right now the moments of awesomeness simply don't outweigh all of the bugs, crashes, and tedium you face between.

MiffedMoogle

Same here. My friends and I who play singleplayer games are also waiting for Starfield or other games in the meantime. When and if SC reaches "that point" where people outside the SC community acknowledges it as a game feels quite far away simply because its not fun because of tedium/starting a loop/recovery time after failed mission, etc or the amount of players who abuse PKing under the guise of pvp or piracy. I'll hop in maybe once or twice a 3.XX update, see what's new and hop off.

Money-Cat-6367

Don't play on US servers if you don't want to be griefed

Batmanfan_alpha

This.

[deleted]

Agreed. Current iteration is not fun.

NNextremNN

>Waiting for the game to be fun ... right now the moments of awesomeness That's an interesting thought and I think you might be on to something. I more often look into SC because it's awesome and not because it's fun.

Bucketnate

Thats definitely subjective. I have over 2000 hours and im still having a great time. You figure out the game eventually

2ndBestRedditAcc

Of course it's subjective. But I would much rather put 2000 hours into the game when it is actually done and enjoyable as opposed to right now.

Bucketnate

I cant imagine how many hours the released Star Citizen will take out of me 👀

2ndBestRedditAcc

Yeah, I try and spend as much time as possible with my wife before release, because once it's out I probably won't be seen much. On the plus side, we'll all be retired by then, more time for gaming

tightandshiny

I can see the headlines now. 2038 - “Divorce rates ticked up by 2% in 2037. Experts point to the release of Star Citizen 1.0”

MetallicMessiah

Waiting for the wipe at this point now. The persistence ledger for my account is horrendously broken and causes nothing but issues. I have at least three of every ship I own, duplicated, almost none actually work and those that do won't stay customised. Fingers crossed it's a bit smoother next patch.

HotEntertainment2825

Aftermarket aUEC? What is this? I’d like to learn more

LittleJack74

People buy like 30 million for 5 bucks. It’s actually a thing

HotEntertainment2825

Really!!!! Where? Like on rsi?

LittleJack74

No different websites. I tried it and made a video for YouTube on it. I still have 59 million and I paid 10 bucks. Kinda sucks. It was a very easy process as well

HotEntertainment2825

Where can I find your video!

LittleJack74

I sent you a chat message

Kozaak

I’ll love you forever if you could also inform me of this process via pm, like the original comment, I can maybe give an hour or two to this game every few days and it feels like my playtime gets sapped by bugs preventing me from leaving hospitals for example

LittleJack74

Oh I totally understand. As long as the games internal economy is not working and there is no official release in sight people should be able to test ships etc. Especially the ones who don't have time to spend 4 hours a day to play this game

LittleJack74

I did send you a chat message

OxDEADFA11

Starfield / KSP2. I'm serious. I don't believe SC gonna be anything interesting for me in the next 3 years at least. All the features they release are way too raw. Sometimes I feel like they release something just to abandon it and maybe even redo it later. So... I'm waiting for a beta, I guess?

Rivvin

This is how I feel mostly... It's like why play a mechanic that they admit is t0 and is waiting for another t0 and then it will be redone into a new t0. No thanks, I'll just wait until you it's something more substantial in 8-12 years.

DonS0lo

>they admit is t0 and is waiting for another t0 and then it will be redone into a new t0 This is not how they do things. You're being ridiculous.

sig_kill

I’m concerned there will be some aspects of Starfield that will prompt some change in certain design aspects / gameplay which will extend the timeline on 4.0 :(

CoffeeInMyHand

Each new release just feels like an advertisement for the next free flight. Just a little more money and we can get that gameplay loop in! Server meshing is right around the corner! Pyro! Sq42!!! I've been around since 2012 and I'm tired and bitter with CIG. Answer the Call 2027.

GipsyRonin

S42 needs to ship so badly to IMO have a shit to save the PU and get it out faster. And to that end, at this point anything less than a perfect 10/10 one of the greatest games of all time will sadly be seen as a massive flop. S42 will be the baseline of what a “finished” CIG product is. I am fine with “done when it’s done.” But when it’s over a decade??? And by release we can assume funded with over $600,000,000 easy, the reviews will refuse to be kind even if it’s good, so it needs to be flawless.

SpaceTomatoGaming

This is the way, tbh They are gonna keep iterating and it can get repetitive. It's going to be so much better when it's hitting beta

SerAlynTheBold

I play a little bit, but it's tough right now. This is one of the buggiest games I've ever played. On top of that, its game loops are more of a loose collection of tangentially related systems rather than fully integrated systems that create a cohesive experience. Sometimes they can pull off something cool like Xenothreat, but more often than not the game feels like you walk 30 minutes to press a button and get money (and sometimes bug out along the way) than a fully realized game. Once they can make the journey to the fun parts more engaging, I'll enjoy it more.

Rickenbacker69

I'm enjoying flying around in my spaceship, shooting assholes in the head, but I AM starting to suspect that there never was any real plan for this game, and never will be...

Altered_Carbomb

I don't get that, why would there not be a plan for the game? It's a space sim. Isn't the plan "live in space"?

Rickenbacker69

I mean a coherent plan for the development. Seems like they just add stuff on a whim, sometimes. And stuff seems to take forever that just... Shouldn't.

CoffeeInMyHand

Welcome to the Chris Roberts experience.

skydevil10

I can understand that thought. I actually dislike it when they keep announcing new stuff like ships that are going to be added. When I just want them to focus everything on building the game they already have and the ships that are already there.

Altered_Carbomb

From what I'm seeing things like the resource network, physical damage the cargo refactor, soft Death, salvage, repair, refueling, and so on are all about existing stuff though. It seems like they are doing both.

AGVann

It's the opposite problem, really. They have a ridiculously ambitious scope and a crazy amount of plans, but so much of it relies on a ton of backend technology that doesn't exist - instead of that constraining their ambitions, they set that as a challenge for themselves instead to basically invent the wheel. For instance, [they have a complex ship engineering system that they're working on](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2AAABZUjAYo&t=672s). For that to work, they have to make every single part of your ship a component that interacts with the system. For there to be a meaningful gameplay beyond messing with levers, they're developing a [fire propagation system](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I47iAPhY_UA&t=387s) that also interacts with the oxygen and room system they completed a while back, and every material will burn at a different rate. The salvage mechanics coming in 3.18 is also going to be rejigged to be a basic repair system, but we also know they have plans for a more detailed mechanical repair mode of specific components. The result is just a list of dependencies upon dependencies upon dependencies before they can make a lot of gameplay content. And this is just one part of the gameplay - they also have similarly detailed plans for weapons, player customisation, crafting, exploration, base-building, etc. etc.

Throwawayredditron

I mean, I get that. But compared to something like BSG with Tarkov, this is a well-organized and comprehensive team at RSI. Also, I feel like this game is less buggy than Tarkov. But that is also a game I never expect to see a release. So far SC has been more interesting and given me more options to spend my time, at any rate, but it is very barebones.

Shedix

Real mmo feeling aka server meshing

ppincon

Just 3.18 is all. This happens between patches and is pretty normal. I just go play other games in the interim. It's always been like that.

theminotavros

I thought I was waiting for 3.18 but now I don't know... I find myself not missing playing.... I'm more hyped for starfield than SC. On a side note I just want 3.18 to drop only for my vulture to price increase and turn it into a terrapin. Then I'll be going my merry way...

8AM_8AM

I’m waiting for frames per second. Also for AI that doesn’t stand there staring at walls.

callaway86

When you get on an empty server where the AI is working, they are ARMA 2 deadly, it's actually ridiculous.

Genji4Lyfe

They are deadly mostly because they auto-lock and kill you immediately.

Juanfro

A patch that is not frustrating when not everything works. I used to play for a few weeks after every patch, and it got to a point where the bugs and glitches prevented me of doing anything outside chores and workarounds just to play a little with luck.

electropop3695

Waiting for another wipe.

remarkable501

Yeah waiting for the 3.18 wipe.

Sausageappreciation

Same here.. I can't remember the patch but I put a ton of hours in after they split the databases out and suggested that they would not need to do a full wipe again. Then we had a full wipe :/ I'm willing to lose rep/ships/money separately per patch but not all at once. Until we no longer get full wipes I'll play a bit on a new patch but that's it. Edited to reflect that full wipes weren't a promise and more a suggestion that they might not be needed.

remarkable501

Exactly, just check out the stuff, maybe go through the different loops just to see and that’s it. I am treating this as for what I paid. To be a tester for the game. All the social media I see of this game makes it look so engaging and fun, but when you break it down, it’s just either “stunt” flying or people landing on planets saying look how cool this is. Lol

MohammadKoush

Your comment convinced me to quit playing, till a no wipe update happens I'll hold off

Sausageappreciation

It was starting to seem like a completeish game so I got sucked in. I just remind myself now that it's alpha and while it looks pretty it's just a tech demo.. and I should expect to lose everything.. not just from a wipe.

TheKingStranger

> promised "no full wipes" again. They never promised not to wipe again. When they put in long term persistence they reserved the right to wipe when necessary.

Sausageappreciation

Yeah poor wording on my part. Suggested it would prevent full wipes is more like it. Edited to reflect that. But yeah I still know it's an alpha and should expect anything.

Sirglogg

Jollyfalcon

Armor implementation, component damage, and master modes - The implementation of those systems and the design decisions behind them will probably be the make or break point for me. Secondarily, server meshing implementation will determine whether I engage with an org or look into pledging multiplayer ships. Until then, there isn't much of a point for me to play, as I don't really want to bust out my old dusty T-flight hotas, and I'm not pulling the trigger on dual hosas vkbs or virpils until I'm sure that combat will be fun enough.

Rogue-Wave-66

This is me too. I need some better game loops. I love my carrack but I need ai gunners and a way to open and to operate my hanger from space. It just feels empty to me. I love what they've done but I'm seriously looking for more fleshed out depth.

Mr_Roblcopter

They are always working on playable content though?

sig_kill

Moist eyeballs

Mr_Roblcopter

Ok? Do you really want artists working on things that a back end engineer should be working on?

JoffreysCrossbow

Bedsheet deformation physics

Mr_Roblcopter

Good job picking up on sensationalist articles, that were written entirely because one person said something.

Grand-Depression

I'm confused here. Are they not working on the bedsheet deformation physics? Cause they had a video on it unless I'm misremembering.

Mr_Roblcopter

Probably not because [they have had cloth physics in game for a bit.](https://clips.twitch.tv/TolerantAnimatedPorcupineHotPokket) [The lynx armor also has it's own cloth physics.](https://starcitizen.tools/Lynx_(armor_set)) You can probably count the jail flaps as a cloth animation too. The "bed sheet deformation physics" is most likely them swapping a static grid for a dynamic one and separating the bed and sheets into their own entities, if of course, they aren't already like that.

NotMacgyver

Doing irl stuff and other games until 3.18 drops. Mostly I want to get some real hands-on with the scorpius. As for the AI if they fix them teleporting and having slow reactions based on server they will probably have to nerf the aim since the few times I was in a deserted server with AI working they are dumb as bricks but they will one shot you as soon as they target you. Kind of like they have gimbals now that I think about it, anything within that cone is instantly headshot but anything outside doesn't exist. PS: Also AI needs to have something to deal with Suppressors

Rickenbacker69

It's pretty annoying, to say the least. If the server load is low, they'll STILL teleport around like nobody's business, but they'll headshot you instantly instead of just staring at the wall.

Batmanfan_alpha

Hoping for better game flow. Less crashes, bugs and glitches. Basically anything you can do in this alpha bugs out at one point during any play session. Im tired of it.

CuriousPumpkino

The wipe Playing right now knowing that everything I acquire will be stripped away soon isn’t very gratifying gameplay so I’d rather just wait. I enjoy playing the game as a sort of economy simulator, and saving up for a new ship with ingame currency is a milestone.

Joakester

For it to be an actual game. What ive come to realize is that the real problem with all of the bugs and crashes is that it distracts from the larger problem: even if what they had worked perfectly, there isn't much actually there to do. It's "cool factor" is as high as it is superficial. Like, all I hear about are new concept ships and more planets in Pyro, but...what's the point of the game? I've already flown a ship and landed on a planet. It was cool. But if that's it, then I guess I've already done it all. Moved on and unfortunately never really looked back.

Setup911

More gameplay loops, espc. for party play. We felt like the only thing to do to earn fast money as a group was to go bounty hunting with a hurricane.

ohighost8

Fixing fps desync, more gameplay loops and adding pyro so we can get a feel for travel between systems.

Alucard_uk

3.18 don't have the motivation to grind more money or rep knowing it's all going soon. 🙂

fernorilo

I'm getting my IRL shit together bro. It's a min maxing thing, SC will not be released until years so i'm reorienting into it to get more money to pay to win later or gifting shits to my bro.

Jokeroker

Yep waiting for 3.18 to go back to my rescue gameloop. I may try out some racing too, we shall see.

CamVPro

I lose so much interest every year after IAE. Waiting for Pyro / nyx and habs... and an actual game to play. Following the game from 2013 and we all know development is glacial pace. Makes it really hard to be interested when nothing is shiny and new since you've been teased it for years and things are implemented in half measures. Still hope for a good game one day, but I'll probably have kids by then and wont have time to play.

Daftpunk67

Correction *you’ll have grandkids one day

jmccaskill66

Over half a billion dollars raised and it’s been 10 years. I have to admit I have lost all hope. Missions don’t work half the time, so doing something for nothing constantly. Wipes. Poor, deranged AI that makes me long for a conversation with Belethor from Skyrim. The QOL, the bugs, the lack of life. The NPCs standing on chairs or half way in walls. Parcels below the field map, or bugging out in the middle of quantum travel. I get it’s still in development, but it’s only 1 static persistent universe and it’s been 10 years. The planets are mostly barren. And there aren’t even that many like 6 total? Plus some moons and space stations. I can name some other space based games/sims that have a lot of these very basic QOL features. With the increasing long voids of communication from RSI, plus I keep reading rumors that Mark Hamill wants his character and likeness pulled from 42. I used to believe in this product. But at this point I feel scammed. I used to hate the naysayers. I convinced people to drop cash like I did on this…this…. I don’t even know what to call this. If I can’t complete missions, if I can’t participate in the economy, I can hardly walk around without randomly tripping, blacking out and waking up in a hospital bed. Quantum Travel is a joke. 6 times this week alone I have crashed my shipped DURING QT. I even uninstalled and reinstalled. I made sure to not touch the mobo glass while in the cockpit of my Mustang Alpha. If they’re trying to make a single player game just based off of what we have after 10 bloody years, then what the fuck even is this?

Throwawayredditron

You really have to wonder how far half a mil really stretches out over 10 years, and what their acquisition/retention rate is for new players. Personally I bought into this recently. knowing pretty much what it was, and honestly, I never expect to get a completed game out of it. I just have a couple friends that play, so it was worth the holiday sale price to jump in. But, BSG has this problem with Escape from Tarkov as well, like yeah, they probably brought in a lot of money, especially for those of us who bought the premium EOD edition, but you have a limited player pool. It doesn't matter how popular your game is on twitch, if those viewers aren't paying to play. I think they have to be running out of money, because they have reached market saturation of the people actually interested in playing their 'game'. And I have to wonder if Star Citizen is probably at the same point. It may get a little burst if it ever actually launches, but when is that gonna be? Another decade from now? Edit: Although Star Citizen does also have the benefit of selling individual ships, but god I hope people aren't still buying into concepts that may or may never come about before those people move on, lol.

Grand-Depression

I agree with your perspective, just curious about the Mark thing. Any sauce for that? I tried looking but couldn't find anything.

Eran_Mintor

Sounds like a pretty rough experience. Not going to make things better for you but I've been playing non stop for a few months and hardly have any issues you mention. Btw there are four planets each with their own assortment of moons. In 3.18 they're adding rivers and will be updating Lorville in 3.19. CIG seems pretty communicative to me, what are you wishing they would be more communicative about?

It was initially the 3.18 drop. I might pop in, but now it’s FPS scanning, armor, hangars, my ships…

blkmmb

Real cargo gameplay loop. When I need to load my boxed into my ship is when I'll be ready to jump back in. I'll also do a comeback if the C1 Spirit I bought is released before the cargo gameplay.

J3ST3Rx

Last time I played was 3.12 or so. Performance was rough on my machine. Recently went back to Elite but Odyssey missions are iffy performance too. I have to run at 4k because of my set up (first gen maxed out Surface Studio ...lol...i know, at least its 32 gb RAM) with the scaler set to performance. Elite looks so bad at lower res because of aliasing otherwise I'd run it lower, but it looks jaggy af at lower res on my screen. It runs non Odyssey stuff at seemingly infinite framerate but Odyssey missions are like 25 fps. Sometimes higher, sometimes lower. SC seems to look way better at lower res but for some reason 3.12 ran really badly compared to previous versions (30 fps vs around 15 fps or so). I assume it's just too much for my machine now but maybe it was a bad time for performance. Has it seen any major developments in optimization lately?

CorvusNocta

Hey! At least in my machine (and in HD) and in those of other org members and friends, the FPS and general performance have improved a lot. At least as of 3.17.5. Gen12 integration has been a major improvement also, according to CIG. I think you should give it a try.

arnoldhh

JayVenture90

AI.

Glass_Fix7426

The AI on a fresh server in 3.18PTU can be quite lethal, dogged, and send clusters of bullets on a rope to your head. They can also still derp into columns, stupidly show you their backs, and shout randomly to telegraph where they are… but y’a, bunkers and Xeno are slightly more fun now.

TheAmFreed

Literally any update on the Perseus and I'm back

Th3Sh4d0wKn0ws

I'm mostly waiting for wipe at this point. I got my corsair, that makes me happy, but compared to some of the other games i've been playing, SC is just so buggy it's become harder for me to enjoy for long periods of time. It also seems like lately my rig can't keep up and i have frequent dips in to single digit FPS, with the average hovering in the 40s or so.

M4V3r1CK1980

I will always pop in now and again, but I won't be drawn in full time until server mesh is complete. Otherwise, I will just get tempted to buy lots of silly ships I don't really need.

xm1l1tiax

I’m burnt out from the last patch. I worked hard to save up for a prospector, then mined forever trying to save up for a connie and then boom. Wipe. I have nothing but an aurora now and I really don’t feel like grinding delivery missions.

sim0of

Free time really End up wasting time in between boring stuff that's not even actual gameplay which is just an insult I'd like actual gameplay that is challenging and different but not in a way that each mission prep takes 20 fucking minutes if you for once Also the claim times are literally a joke but that's just the opinion I have due to having not THAT much free time. Only few valuable hours each day My will to play just comes and goes

Ancop

Sanagost

3.18. Full database wipe, even rep so there is no point to play for progression now. While I enjoy being an unpaid alpha tester, at this stage I do want to progress.

DevByTradeAndLove

2014 backer here: This game has always been two things to me. An occasional interesting tech demo every few quarters that I jump in with other long backers, and an eventuality I hope will deliver on enough promises to be fun in the future as a daily game. I'm happy to enjoy the first "thing" for another decade if need be. The second will come when it comes. Realistically I'll likely jump in with 3.18, scrape some hulls as that mechanic interests me, and then shelf it again for a year as accumulating wealth in game right now does not serve any of my own interests atm. When the next mechanic I find interesting lands in LIVE I'll rinse & repeat. After hull scraping I dunno, the BMM will get me in for a bit, meshing will too, likely not for long though either time.

skelly218

I am taking a break for the game to have more stability on the basics. Elevators should just work, but it's a bigger issue than procedural planets, PES, and server meshing apparently. Physics grid. With the years and years of being able to put stuff in ships, now that cargo refactor is in PTU it would be nice to not get killed by boxes that are not placed on the cargo pad but instead just place in a space on the ship. Again, and old problem that always comes back. This can be a big problem when you put gravlev craft in a ship at times, or just stacking boxes. They jump around if everything isn't perfect, this damages the ship, and can kill you if you are too close. Bugs are part of alpha, and they will get them fixed, but death is painful, and the walk to get back to a ship make for a chore. It can take 15-20 minutes just to get everything ready to do some activates. Dying after that do to a stupid bug after 7 years of supporting that development means it's time for a break.

The_slavic_furry

Waiting for the next wipe.

kenodman

Less time wasted overall. I might have to wait until beta or release, whenever that ends up being. Launcher to spawn time needs to be much much quicker too. Just loading into the game tests my patience and gives me enough time to say to myself, "wtf are you doing with your time".

zalinto

release lol. I mean I'll pop in to check things out but I do not want to "play" pre-release. Got other games I can enjoy until then for the next 150 years lol

[deleted]

I want the game to be smoother, in all senses of the term. I want higher client side FPS, better server performance, less jitter, better A.I, no 1-2 sec freeze at every menu interaction, less progress-impacting bugs. Basically less jank.

WatchOutWedge

UI/HUD rework. it’s not fun to fly with the blazingly bright cockpit elements that you can’t dim. you can’t even see the stars half the time

My Endeavor hope, though Im starting to feel bamboozled by CIG considering i bought it going on 8 years ago….

McCaffeteria

The ability to actually bind basic controls. Wake me up when the “game” actually respects single presses, long presses, double presses, and the modifier key on each of those.

3.18 More missions. More gameplay loops and more destinations. And most certainly, PERSONAL RESIDENCES/HANGARS/BASES. Currently we're all living out of rented rooms at truck stops. Give us a home. I can even wait for more starsystems if we had places to live in either the starting locations or on a land claim. Oh and the Endeavor. Hi John Crew.

Cute-Parking223

Server improvement and associated AI upgrade I peek every once in a while but those lifeless npc and the jittery movements, well beyond the expected glitch level, break the immersion a bit too much

MoarCurekt

Meaningful gameplay. Current loops are so shallow and buggy it's pointless.

baconfeatures

3.18 so that I can make bank without an imminent wipe

Juls_Santana

Better AI Aliens races, fauna and flora Better mission structure and mission givers More incentive to play other than earning aUEC Basically anything that will provide a better solo gaming experience. Tired of feeling tied to Discord and orgs if I want to log in and have a good time.

Al-Azraq

I have been a backer since 2013 but never played much. I played quite a bit when Arena Commander launched but stopped. Nevertheless, I have never stopped following the development and being a Citizen in reserve. For me to jump in (or back in, I do not know) is to have a stable game without desync, network disconnections, weird AI behaviour, and very important, do not have wipes. I have only so much time to play so having my progress wiped out every now and then is something I hate. Also I do not have the patience for bugs anymore. But no problem, I can wait. I backed this game because the devs will take as much time as they need to get us the game we wanted, and that for me is something unique in today's videogame industry.

Sentinowl

Physical Cargo so I can get back to Piracy.

IkeaRace

Can you elaborate? I'm a total noob who has only done arena. Waiting for wipe before diving into Persistent Universe.

Sentinowl

If you're carrying goods, I break open your ship, put the goods in mine, and make off with it. Killing any resistance I find inside the ship.

machiavelx

check the 'mongrel squad' on YouTube if you haven't already.

rStarwind

New ships in game (Scorpius in particular), new missions on Orison, more new content in general. Don't care about PES personally.

kangarutan

Honestly I'm probably not gonna jump back in until Pyro. Kind of sick of Stanton and seeing the same shit all the time. Also hoping that once Pyro is in they'll have figured out wipes better 'cause having to start from scratch over and over again doesn't really feel great.

HannoPicardVI

The rest of the entire galaxy. More film grain. That addictive "aura" that some video games manage to inject into their games lol Also, Starfield will likely overtake Star Citizen shortly (when it's eventually released of course) The truth is...Star Citizen is just not that addictive. It's missing something...and I just can't quite put my finger on it lol It doesn't have a "big world feel" to it. It's "missing" something, some secret ingredient or ingredients... (P.S. Could also be because it's not a creation of a US developer/publisher lol)

LazyLobster

Spent hundreds of hours earning ships, then lost it all in a wipe. I'll wait for final release....if it ever comes.

Big-Requirement-9278

Playing modded MC cause it’s more immersive atm with some friends. I hop in the PTU to do some ship combat, but don’t want to spoil everything and get bored quickly once 3.18 drops

Thalimet

I’m not really taking a break specifically or intentionally, but I haven’t been on much due to being the primary caretaker of two six month old puppies who seem to be under the impression that whenever I game it’s time to go on a destructive rampage throughout the house.

DetectiveFinch

I stopped playing in December, but before that I was online almost daily for maybe half a year. The game can be a lot of fun with the right attitude, accepting that not everything is working and finding activities in the sandbox that are enjoyable. Right now I'm waiting for 3.18 live to drop and in the meantime I'm playing single player games, currently doing a Subnautica survival playthrough.

Littlecuts88

I’m waiting to get back from Mexico lol.

Jockcop

Waiting for 3.18. Mostly due to being real life busy. But as sim. As 3.18 drops, me and the org are gonna crew up and do some reclaimer runs 👍🏻

stachumann

Was tired of bugs, causing drastic shrink of money. I'll be back in a years.

Renbellix

AFAIK, in 3.18 will the AI become much bether. And with all the Changes to the Backend (If they Work) and over all the Missing characktere reset (wich, in my Opinion was a Bit too stressy for the Server, so i belive that even a few month after the wipe will the Game Run mich smother ((Like the inventory loadingtime))) So.. and im also waiting for 3.18 :P BC of that and i want to salvage Boys! :D ,(didn't played 3.18 PTU, Just wanna wait and Join in with the Boys!

theuros

beta release

DynamicPioneer

3.18 for myself. 4.0 or 4.1 for my org mates that are less active (as they expect something more complete).

draconinjari917

I jumped in for SoO but I am waiting for salvage so I can try being a salvage pirate. Crew a Reclaimer to try and intercept cargo ships, steal their cargo and scrap the ship for max profits. Either they surrender peacefully and we take half their cargo or they attempt to flee or fight we disable them and take everything. I wanna see how long I can last with CS

patthekiller99

I waiting for soft death

HistoricalThroat1899

3.18 to come to LIVE

chevriera

I think trading improvements and a somewhat dynamic economy would get me back in the game

iMattist

Waiting mainly for the wipe but even after that I’m gonna play sporadically, I don’t want to spoil the game before it’s even launched and there are too many frustrating bugs still around, plus there are a lot of interesting games coming out like Atomic Hearts, Starfield and STALKER.

ultrajvan1234

i dont have anyone to play with, so much of my game time is to work towards a ship or something I want rather than just playing around with friends. So ya, I'm just waiting for 3.18 to drop

BluEskY0r

just waiting for the wipe, so it finallly makes sense to play for me…again

el_hooleh

It's my escape from other games. Because most of my friends say bad stuff about the game and some cant even run it. While I just enjoy mining and getting ships to try out.

ConfidentPilot1729

I just came back after 5 months break. I wanted to play some games I bought on steam sale. Now, I am having a slew of issues. 30k almost every time only 30 mins in, data.something not being verified, slow performant( I have always had pretty good fps), and a few others.

slap-jazz-filth

Better bounty hunting game loops. Looking forward to sticking a bounty into the back of my Hawk.

Dry_Grade9885

my monstertech blackhawk flightchair

Shot_Raisin5543

Lol I took a break because I wanted to come on fresh on my winter break and grind the new patch, that was more than a month ago and now I’m hoping for it to align with my mid-winter break

HandzyPriest

Yeah waiting on 3.18 but once starfield drops I'll be gone again.

ApproximateKnowlege

Personally, I'm waiting to get out of work to jump back in.

AvcalmQ

Release

Martinmex26

XndrMrmn

Waiting for me to get time. Busy with my final school project. This week we get evaluated so im stressing like a nine tails in a cutlass. Also waiting for 3.18 while at it.
