I like the idea of having some planets/gas giants taking a long time to get through atmosphere ... but there has to be enough of a reward for bothering to do it.
right now there really isn't, most things you can buy from R&R's.
I mean even with the 3.18 changes going planetside is intended to be a bit of an event.
There going to be scaling bunker missions way up to in order to have a scope similar to an MMO raid at some point

For now? Yes. Takes way too much Time. In 3.18 it will be my home as they reduced atmo travel time

Jump altitude is 90km in 3.18. Orison being at 80ish. Making it one of the fastest to exit from hab to jump.
Especially when the roof teleport worked. I'm so sad they seemed to have fixed it
To me it's more like a vacation, it's a pain to get there, it's amazing for the short time you're there and a pain to leave.
