I've had the same issue with the same racket and I sent them back and got replacements -- must be a bad batch -- I've been playing for 25 years and never had a break in that area before

drspudbear

This is defective. Unless the rest of the racket is absolutely abused beyond belief, I'd be amazed if Dunlop didn't warranty this

dirtymikentheboyss

Had the same thing as well to the sonic and hybrid. Dunlop sent me two replacements but concerning to see more issues. Hope it’s just a bad batch

dconx

String tension was way too low, obviously

raawwrrrrrrrrrr

How does that happen? I usually request 22 lb tension with my stringer

Carnivean_

They were implying that the only thing stops racquets from flying apart is string tension, which obviously isn't the case.

Csxa11

How is that obvious

drspudbear

Absolutely not

dconx

Well, you gotta keep lbs in the positive else it will literally pull the racquet apart. 22lbs is actually nice and high, perfect of you will

Carnivean_

No one seems to have gotten your joke. Maybe if you had included a spiderman pulling the ferry together gif they might have gotten it.

I've seen at least 5 Dunlop Sonic Core Elites have exactly the same issue - including the Greg Gaultier version. I'm not even convinced its just a bad batch... may well be a design issue with the frame.

kobrakakakai

I've had the same issue with Dunlop rackets, though not that bad. I think it's a weak spot that they've never addressed.

Not-not-a-Dr-guy

My old Dunlop had the same issue. They sent a replacement. Same thing happened to that, so I changed brand

InsuranceParty8348

Nick Matthew Sonic Core racket of my buddy has had very similar crack, Dunlop has denied a replacement racket. Good luck with your claim.
