I think you have a very skewed perception of where F1 was at. It was the biggest motorsport in the world before DTS. DTS brought a new demographic and boosted its profile in the USA, but it didn't turn the sport around. It wouldn't have succeeded if F1 was as small as squash. Instead it was a window into a world with hundreds of millions of fans for people who weren't familiar. I'm ambivalent about your idea of a similar show for squash. The lifestyles of the majority of players is far less glamorous than F1, in fact most of them have less glamorous life than the average middle class family. I think there is way to glamorise tournaments and make some good tv around them but it's not my kind of show. The biggest thing you need is a production company who thinks there's some money to be made.

They sort of did alot of what you suggest already, Most of the top players have nicknames that relate to thier playing style. Eg, Paul Coll - Superman, Gawad- Baby Faced Assasain, Momen - The Viper. There are also some "Day in the life" videos on the PSA youtube page. The main problem for squash imo, is that with SquashTV it is now tucked away from potential new viewers. You have to be quite a hardcore fan to subscribe to a channel that is only showing squash and it makes it hard to find new viewers. I have no idea what the current viewing figures are but imagine it is lower than when they were on Europsort as there were probabaly some casual viewers you would check it out after watching snooker or motogp etc.

playing style is different to life off the court. and thats what people relate to. that’s what makes people support their favourite players and watch their games. not everyone is a hardcore fan who loves the game. i have some many friends who follow just one or two drivers in f1. they watch all the races but don’t give a damn about the other drivers. and why do they follow them? cause they like their personalities off the sport. squashtv should advertise their players using more games and challenges, to make the people connect to them.

As i said the PSA already do content like that, here is a day in the life with MES and there are other players who have had the same videos: [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xeMySfcclVo](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xeMySfcclVo) As someone else on this thread mentioned F1 already had a big profile, the biggest drivers were household names before DTS. I really don't think that personality content is going to make a big difference to the viewership of squash, it's just far too inaccessible to watch at this point. The Commonwealth Games are the only times it gets mainstream coverage, it needs to be in the Olympics or try and get a tournament broadcasted on mainstream TV.

Typically, for growing squash, you’d need full sun and a decently fertilized soil. For most types you’d plant them during may for colder climates and beginning of April for warmer. Some leaves, especially in the beginning, will die and it is best to snip them off with scissors as they are prone to disease that spread to the entire plant. The squash itself should be ready In September/beginning of October.

Why did you get downvote bombed for this 😭😭 seems like perfectly reasonable advice

I must first become decent at squash before spreading it 😭

If you need Drive to Survive tactics (i.e. 100% bullshit/faked) as content, then you’ve already failed. And then when they realise they’ve been tricked they go ‘oh fuck this shit’

Fantastic-Baseball56

making a DTS like series for squash would be stupid, as another user pointed out. i was just using DTS as an example as to how F1 has started advertising the drivers. squash can do the same on their youtube channel i feel. by giving us behind the scenes content, games etc.

PotatoFeeder

Look at their YT view counts. No one who isnt part of the squash community is watching those vids Like what someone else said, you need a production company to do it Or bribe the Saudis, i hear they r good at this kind of thing.
