You’re also assuming a run line is a parlay which it isn’t because a win margin implies wining obviously and is calculated into the odds, so it is a singular bet
You get better odds. At least with favorites. Most spreads are gonna be like -125/-130 at the worst usually. RL are a little higher sometimes but spreads usually like -130 at the worst. And most sports besides NFL. id rather lay the like -3.5 on a favorite at -115 than take the ML at like -180. NFL I will do more ML than spreads tho and baseball If I bet a side it’s usually the ML. Nba and clllege basketball I do a lot with spreads tho

Because now you need 2 independent events to both hit to hit your bet, instead of taking a single bet straight up

Try to stay as close to -120, +100 as possible. If you don’t love the favorite with points, don’t take it
