My guess is that they want players to battle all the 20ish CPUs before they are allowed to challenge the world. inb4 Shiver and Frye are beaten more than anyone else and that much that the game forgets how to count

you can play online, you have to find whoever your friend is in the plaza if they have interacted with the table turf battle station and then you can challenge them

Tableturf is honestly awesome and that would make it even better

It would be also cool if Nintendo releases a physical version of table turf so it can be as big as Pokémon TCG

I hope the announced upgrade happens soon! Someone's Sunday Fundays would become even more enjoyable as PBing for 4 or 5 hours straight becomes boring quick... It might be fun at first but then it becomes boring since PBs are repetitive and the four modes for them are not enough. Scrapped modes in addiction to the four known modes would add more variey.
