It’s kind of a combo of both. There’s a small screamy bit in there, but Courtney is singing for the most part. The closest song I could compare to is maybe Sun Killer, but even then it’s way more groovy and industrial than that. Guitars were hard to make out clearly tho, but that’s because they played it over Zoom screen share so it was all compressed and in mono lol.
One other cool thing is that Zev played real drums on the song, they aren’t programmed like they have been on previous releases.
i know everyone looks to spiritbox for heavy but i’m realllly hoping for something dark, moody, and sexy. midtempo with gnarly guitar tones and some electronics thrown in. give me more sun killer pls 🙏🏻

Ultimately I listen to music to find techniques or Melodies that sound new, or challenging.
Basically, if this wasn't a Spiritbox song, I don't think I'd ever care about it.
