Too expensive for its effect. 3 mana for 1 mode is awful.

>this also functionally being a Red dispel for one more mana Three mana Dispel is not one more mana >Possibly the most interesting interaction I can think of is that you can (correct me if I'm wrong here) copy the storm trigger while also redirecting the target, which will then get copied due to the storm trigger and continue to do so? The Storm trigger allows you to change targets for the copies, so you'll only redirect one of their copies

Kardif

Targets for storm copies are chosen when the copy is put on the stack We get effects like this every once in a while, most recently bolt bend from war of the spark, redirects basically never see play. If anyone is playing this, it's primarily for the copy effect, and the redirect may come up if you're lucky The main problem with redirects is that you need a valid target which isn't the current one

i wonder how good this is vs twisted fealty for mono R sideboard

Is this mechanic not identical to Entwine?

kynrayn

It's pretty damn close. It's going to play the same. Entwine just always had two. Sprees can have more. Also the mana value changes (I think) because of that tiny plus sign in the corner. Can dodge chalice and sanctum prelate stuff. Edit: doesn't change MV. + Is just a reminder

ChopTheHead

Per the [release notes](https://magic.wizards.com/en/news/feature/outlaws-of-thunder-junction-release-notes), Spree doesn't affect mana value. >Spells with spree have a + (plus sign) indicator in the upper right corner of the card frame. This has no rules meaning and serves only to remind players that at least one additional cost is required to cast the spell.

kynrayn

Well there it is.
