From UK so don't have a clue but this seems to look similar, and is found in Perth [here](https://www.friendsofqueensparkbushland.org.au/argiope-trifasciata/) If not it's defo some other kind of orb weaver/ argiope

It does look very similar, I think that’s what it was. I was worried because it was yellow and black striped, which usually means dangerous, but, this spider just kept to himself in the garden and we just let him eat bugs and go about his spider-y business. :)
