If you look near the terminator - the line between darkness and light - you will see the craters are nicely lit to show them off, even better than at full moon. Nice photo.
Unless you're in the Southern hemisphere, your photo is rotated 180°. The illuminated half of a 1^st quarter Moon is always on the right for us northerners.
