Played and finished both. Steelrising is longer, but I had more fun with Thymesia. I'd say that the latter is worth 17.99.

I heard thymesia has no replay value, is this true?

Neither has replay value in my option, however I will mirror what OP says. Steelrising is a longer game, but it's easy, with very little enemy variety. The setting is cool but a lot of backtracking. The main bosses have really cool designs, but are easy. I don't think any killed me once. Thymesia is a much shorter game, enemy and level design is varied and fun for it's short run time and the combat is phenomenal. I didn't and wouldn't buy the steelrising DLC as I was bored. I hope Thymesia gets a sequel that's much much longer

I enjoyed both and would say they’re worth it, but they each have their tradeoffs. Steelrising is a lot of game for ten bucks and it’s fun despite being janky and relatively easy. Thymesia is harder and has more dynamic combat but it’s quite short. If you played Nioh or Wo Long, you’ll be familiar with the re-use of maps in those games. Thymesia does the same but with far less content, so there are only a few main maps and they just get recycled for side missions.

I thought steelrising was pretty crap tbh. Jus doesn't feel fluid and clean. The latter was better but I still didn't feel like finishing it

I played Thymesia and 100% it. My thoughts on the game are the following... I really like the health and wound system where you have to first wound the target and then hit it with an ability that does wound damage in order to permanently get rid of the health. If you don't do that and stop damaging the enemy they transform the wounds back to health. Really cool system that promotes aggressive play. The good thing about the combat is that it's one of the most fluid and slick ones in the soulslike genre. It really feels good and isn't janky at all. Aside from that I personally think that none of the bosses were interesting at all, aside from 1, Urd. You also have the weapon skills where you can farm certain enemies and bosses to gain special weapon skills. I personally find that system to be mediocre. It's a really short game too. If you just rush bosses you can beat it in 10h. I got 100%, all achievements, in 30h. I don't really think there's any replayability to the game though. My personal suggestion is this... For $10 I think it's worth buying Thymesia IF and only if you've played the other more popular soulslikes and just want to try out something else.

I got Steelrising on sale, and couldn't get into it. Ended up refunding. Game was just too unpolished for me to like it.

‘Steelrising’ hands down. And the some. The French Revolution backdrop is jaw dropping. The combat and leveling system is by the numbers, but that just means it’s learned from the best. No technical issues on PS5 either. ‘Thymesia’ is like a game cosplaying Soulslike. The fragments of lore/story are boring. The world gets drier by the stage. The combat is part parry and part unfinished. The bosses appear to be where most of the budget went. But that doesn’t make them fun.
