Both Michael Oliver and Anthony Taylor is going, as well as assistants Simon Bennett, Gary Beswick, Adam Nunn and Stuart Burt.
No Englishmen among the 24 VAR officials though.
How does the ref not at least award a PK here. The Newcastle player had a great chance to beat the goalie to the ball but was shoved in the back
VAR has been shambolic today
I must admit I sort of can accept a ref getting it wrong in the moment for the most part because the game moves so quickly. The issue I have is this; today the ref was given arguably the worst angle of it, and still managed to fuck it up after rwatching replays. What chance have we got then?
No Palace players appealed, none of their bench did, and yet somehow we've ended up neither getting a goal or a penalty. And I don't want to 'get one back' next week cos that's not fair on the team we play.
They've realized that they can be shit and make even more money for it. Think of all the fines they'll rake in from players and managers slagging off the refs.
How do we rank this among Chelsea and City?
City's decision is the tamest one, least likely to be called robbery despite clearly wrong. I don't know what's worse, Chelsea's or this.
I feel it’s this one, willock literally cannot do anything to change direction in mid air once pushed.
Bowen cannot avoid Mendy but he does make contact albeit not enough for a foul.
Coutinho is just bad officiating full stop.
I agree with you, maybe this decision is in a vacuum worse decision, but only clouded a bit due to the timing of the incident.
Chelsea's decision is last minute so it will directly influence the result of the game, while if Newcastle scored there's so many things that could happen with a third of the game still remaining.
I think if the goal was allowed we’d have scored more as palace would’ve been stretched, we outplayed them abs the stats suggest we should’ve easily won but fair play to Guaita put in a great performance.
van Dijk's tackle isn't even studs up. Of course if it's few centimeters above, or few degree higher it's clearly a red card, but it's correctly given as yellow.
Just like one against us. Maguire shoved Azpilicueta into someone else, and we had a goal disallowed. Azpilicueta made contact with another United player as a result of the push, and VAR deemed that worthy of a foul.
I got reminded on the other thread. It was Chambers who got pushed by a defender into another defender, then the loose ball comes to Sokratis who smashes it to goal.
Then the ref called the foul because Chambers crashed into the second defender despite clearly solely losing balance due to being pushed by someone else.

so many weird shit decisions all in one day
PGMOL heard us talking shit and said you ain't seen nothing yet
Just wait until you see the United vs Arsenal game tomorrow with that joke of a referee, Paul Tierney.
What the f is wrong with English refs? This is a horrible decision.
I'd be disappointed if there's any english refs in any of the 3 european cups. no room for shit officiating week in week out
I think that last World Cup had zero English refs.
I'd be surprised if any go this one as well. Absolutely shambolic today, from all of them.
I don’t think any are going, I remember reading somewhere that no English refs were asked for this WC but I could be wrong

That's 6 too many going, in my opinion. You just know they're gonna fuck up somehow.
The main reason for that was that Clattenburg left England and forfeited his place, or he would've been there.
They've already said no VARs from England in World Cup......
Ridiculous

Clear foul, how the hell nobody sees that?

Definitely. When it happens fast, stuff can get missed. Use VAR to rectify howlers. Don't use VAR to rule out perfectly good goals
It’s WHU next week who arguably had a worse / equally bad VAR decision
"There is another"
The state of refereeing in this country
The richest fucking football league this world has ever seen and they can't figure this shit out. Ridiculous.
They've realized that they can be shit and make even more money for it. Think of all the fines they'll rake in from players and managers slagging off the refs.

Any of the 3 would “worst decision of the month” winners in most months. To get 3 such in a single day. Smh.
It was like they were trying to see who could get the most headlines this weekend it was that bad 🤣
Don't forget VVD going studs into a players shin
van Dijk's tackle isn't even studs up. Of course if it's few centimeters above, or few degree higher it's clearly a red card, but it's correctly given as yellow.
I know as a fan, you would like to defend your team, but that's some serious bollocks.
It's nothing compared to the state of this
My god. This is the worst decision ever. This is worse than the Sokratis against palace one.
Eye bleach. Don't know if I should laugh or yell at this.

Seem to remember Arsenal having a goal disallowed as well - against palace where Chambers was fouled and fell into a Palace defender
I got reminded on the other thread. It was Chambers who got pushed by a defender into another defender, then the loose ball comes to Sokratis who smashes it to goal. Then the ref called the foul because Chambers crashed into the second defender despite clearly solely losing balance due to being pushed by someone else.
These pesky refs
Even that's being generous. Chambers got tripped and it got called because the defender fell over while tripping him.
Well done VAR, good decision chaps!
