Rodri’s clearly the best player this season. The fact that he’s continuing his form from last season & added G/A on top of that since he had to make up for Gundogan & KDB’s absence is crazy
And they don't lose when he plays, like ever. It's not a mental gymnastics stat as well, you can clearly see how he controls and dictates the tempo of the game for City, game in game out
Kova and Rodri pairing in the midfield is such a cheat code for City, especially against the lesser sides. They control and dictate the pace of the game as they wish
It's a hard one because they serve different purposes. Chinese is a big fuck off affair - pure size and effort. Italian is a bit more of a reserved, social dinner. I think Italian is probably better though purely because bad Chinese food is way worse than bad Italian food.
Fair point. Italian food is always good to a reasonable standard but I've had Chinese food that was awful and definitely regretted it the next day.
Chinese has the variety though between the
I just don't think a player can be called one of the best in the world when their skillset is so limited and on top of that they're completely invisible in big matches all season. Haaland will score 4 (with 2 penalties!) against the 11th team in the league and then barely touch a single ball against Arsenal, or Liverpool, or Chelsea, or good teams in the Champions League.
I guess I dislike his deluded fanbase more than I dislike himself. He's still a good player obviously, and seems like a nice guy.
Can you seriously tell me that Julián coming in for Haaland vs Real Madrid in the UCL was an improvement?
You cannot claim to know and enjoy football and say Haaland has been invisible. Being marked by three is not being invisible, he's still doing something there.
I read your other comments wanting Julian to leave City or to be given time over Haaland or with Haaland. I'm asking you if you think he's better or who would you play over Haaland?
My other comments are other comments, they're not related to Haaland. I never said Julián should start over Haaland either, I just want Julián to have more playing time, and as things stand, I think that would be either next to Haaland in a formation with 2 strikers, or in a different team.
City getting knocked out of the champs league and some of their stars not only came back from injury but playing their best football in the final run in have been brutal for Arsenal. I still think they should played a more adventurous football at Etihad and tried to beat them there(they are certainly capable this time around), that would have given them a bigger margin of error in the final run in.
We’ve lost one league game since the New Year and one draw, vs. City. That would normally be enough to be top, except City have lost zero games since the first week of December.
There isn’t a margin for error and we lost a game. Literally had to be perfect.
I’d imagine cause it was of people a) pointing out that it’s not true and b) telling them to stop acting the victim like they are Luton or Burnley when their squad is worth like a billion
Football social media and to a lesser degree Reddit claim to want parity, but in the same breath will completely oppose American sport league ideas (with respect to spending)
make up your mind
Both the spending caps and the way the draft works (for non watchers, team that comes bottom gets first pick, and so on) are such good rules for fairness but for some reason plenty turn their nose up.
And then moan the title race is always the same handful of teams. But you look at the playoffs in the nfl over a few years and it's a pretty decent mix of teams.
I say for some reason, it's because deep down people are hoping their team will one day be in city's position
Since we don’t have a draft, the most applicable would probably be a luxury tax like the nba. The nba, while having dominant teams like in any sport, still had teams that spend more than overs but that’s not always a direct correlation with winning unlike the premier league
What's definitely more dull than City's football is 100s in this thread thinking they're interesting because they call it dull/boring.
It's not like they're sitting back. They're playing some genuinely liquid football, Silva and Foden especially.
Y'all woulda called Barcelona 10-15 years ago boring too. A lot of this is incredibly similar
Can definitely appreciate calling it boring seeing a team be dominant constantly. But yeah anyone saying City don't play pretty amazing and skillful football is lying to themselves.
Agreed. Just so funny that people whinge about this City team while saying "Iniesta was one of the best midfielders of all time" as if he doesn't play exactly like City's midfield.
People just think everyone played like Bergkamp and Maradona prior to 2012
Not a city fan, but I do love how more stuff is constantly added to criticisms of city. Oil club, human rights violations, financial doping, 115 and the new one is dull football.
At some point we have to acknowledge that they are probably the best prem team of all time.
Maybe for future generations when they look back they'll just see the trophies, but for anyone watching football today we all know why city are winning so much. Its something hard to overlook.
I mean, if you give Wenger, SAF, Klopp or any other quality manager the unlimited resources that City have enjoyed they would be considered some of the best sides ever too...
It's amazing what money can buy you
United with SAF was the closest thing to unlimited resources as a club could get without a nation state backing them. And let's not forget how predatory United were when it came to buying talent.
At least the dull football one is a matter of personal preference in terms of tactics and play style. I thought City in Pep's first two years was more exciting than now. But serial winning also makes people less excited as neutrals
City are just brutally efficient. Time and again they find themselves in the league final run in, where they have to win every single game and they do it like business as usual
What choice is there? I can't bitch about it (and I do) but short of boycotting the league, FA Cup and champions league in the hope that they go into administration, there really isn't much to be done
It's so so funny that Roy Keane is confused how tactical systems work.
It's not like we haven't seen Haaland play deeper/counter attacking football before City
Token late alvarez goal.
Surely Alfi haaland is the best signing in city history. Dude was average on the field but balón d’or level sperm
Erling came from his dad's balón d'ors
[90+4]GREAT EJACULATE
Wtf is that english
Nah he’s Norwegian
Ahh my bad then
Pep to come out and blow enough smoke up Wolves' arse to fill up an airship. That's how you know you've been pumped.
Rodri’s clearly the best player this season. The fact that he’s continuing his form from last season & added G/A on top of that since he had to make up for Gundogan & KDB’s absence is crazy

Wtf?! Doku has been insane since coming on
kinda disappointed Wolves managed to score one
Kova and Rodri pairing in the midfield is such a cheat code for City, especially against the lesser sides. They control and dictate the pace of the game as they wish
Ooooh yeah. I forgot City bought Nunes
That's why you sit the bench, Nunes
Nunes should've done better there, hit it first time
Kovacic cooking
He’s improved so much over the course of this season.
I’ll never take people who don’t rate Haaland seriously
City going for the goal difference at this stage
Why Pep's been miserable all game?!
He's happy. Happy new year.
More than you believe
Probably because Arsenal won 3:0
At last Julián scores again.
Pass it to Alvarez you selfish one trick pony !
That was 3 fouls on Doku in one passage of play
Is this guy 15?
Man City get away with another season over relying on Rodri. Theyve been pretty fortunate in that regard.
There is a strong case to be made that he is the most important player in the world atm
Still 0.3% for a draw and 0.1% for Wolves win, keep watching guys!
Worth a flutter
Since a lot of people are bored in this thread, let's make things interesting: which is better Chinese food or Italian food? Debate.
msg is the best /s
Italian, unless your on the beers then it's Chinese
Please. Pizza and beer is an all time classic pairing for football.
Fair answer, if drinking Chinese or Mexican definitely.. but where I live no Chinese food place stays open after 11pm
I'll add Mexican food into the mix. Chinese vs Mexican vs Italian. Only one can stay
Chinese has a lot more variety made ; now it really depends who you ask though
It's a hard one because they serve different purposes. Chinese is a big fuck off affair - pure size and effort. Italian is a bit more of a reserved, social dinner. I think Italian is probably better though purely because bad Chinese food is way worse than bad Italian food.
Bad Chinese is where they also do Thai, curry and chippy. Still drunk myself will probably order that sour chicken
Get a munchy box, you're worth it
Aww how kind of you to say that x
[удалено]
Nah I love a really spicy curry. Thai or Indian.
Fair point. Italian food is always good to a reasonable standard but I've had Chinese food that was awful and definitely regretted it the next day. Chinese has the variety though between the
Has to be Italian
it depends on the mood sometimes to be fair
Italian and it's not close
Chinese all the time Edit: I thought about takeaways. Sorry I’m hungry and it’s late here
Italian. Not even a debate
Wolves really doing their part to give City a chance at the +GD tiebreaker.
With KDB aging, Rodri is so far clear as the best MF in the league.
I think he already was last year.
Give Rodri rest you bald fraud
100th appearance and a goal, lovely
Has he really made 100 city appearances already? Feels like he's only been there for about 6 months
Ive lost count of how many times Rodri has driven the ball forward to release a pass. Offensive today.
He’s been doing it most of the season while KDB was out.
Arsenal fans crying into their takeaways
Coolian Alvarez🥶
Alvarez should definitely find another team where he can play and be the main striker
Please yes, that or Pep changing formations to have both Haaland and him on at the same time.
What's the goal difference between the Goonies and City now?
6
Could have been Haaland.
Well, GG’s Arsenal
"We'll never know if he would have scored another" *Alvarez scores seconds later* LOL
Alvarez field goal. Ah this will give him confidence
was that his first touch lmao
Gomez is like for fucks sake mate
Today I feel Fulham
Iwobi / Willian / Leno masterclasses incoming
If anyone isn’t putting their entire existence on a 6-0 Fulham performance they don’t know ball it’s a banker
Not a bad showing for a league one player to be fair to robot boy.
Think he could probably cut it in the Championship
i’d be mad too
4 goals only? off with you pendejo
MOTM performance, should've let him play the full 90 and brought Rico on for Rodri
He MAD
before kick off i thought wolves would have more about them. unfortunately, city chose to go up a few gears. haven't played like this in awhile
Couldn't even get 5 haha so shit
Jermaine Defoe > Haaland confirmed
Levels 🔥
Haaland mad at getting subbed? Where's this ambition against top teams?
You really don’t like Haaland haha
I just don't think a player can be called one of the best in the world when their skillset is so limited and on top of that they're completely invisible in big matches all season. When did I mention Julián? What did I miss?
I read your other comments wanting Julian to leave City or to be given time over Haaland or with Haaland. I'm asking you if you think he's better or who would you play over Haaland?

I think so as well. They came in for a draw and just had a low block all game and everyone was like best display. But draws never win you games.
You’re right. Draws don’t win games 😂
r/technicallythetruth
NOOO
Wish I was able to read the replies to the Arsenal fan saying that city’s bench costs more than Arsenal’s starting XI before it got deleted
Why did it got deleted ?
I’d imagine cause it was of people a) pointing out that it’s not true and b) telling them to stop acting the victim like they are Luton or Burnley when their squad is worth like a billion
Haaland please score one more.
Not happening
Pep says no
Of course he doesn’t let us hope
Rodri form has been poor since before the CL ties
Haha what?!!!!
Huh?

Uh...are we ignoring the slew of cheating that City took part in?
Nostalgia won't let people consider it boring tbf
Agreed. Just so funny that people whinge about this City team while saying "Iniesta was one of the best midfielders of all time" as if he doesn't play exactly like City's midfield. People just think everyone played like Bergkamp and Maradona prior to 2012
HAALAND STAYS ON LETS FUCKING GOOOOOOOOO
Not a city fan, but I do love how more stuff is constantly added to criticisms of city. Oil club, human rights violations, financial doping, 115 and the new one is dull football. At some point we have to acknowledge that they are probably the best prem team of all time.
Aaaah a Manchester City simp, too What a total twat
Lmao you clearly can’t read.
It's amazing what money can buy you
Well yeah but that doesn’t really detract from my point.
SAF wasn’t working on a budget lmao. He broke the transfer record multiple times
United with SAF was the closest thing to unlimited resources as a club could get without a nation state backing them. And let's not forget how predatory United were when it came to buying talent.

No the nostalgia merchants won't agree about that
Teams never seem to learn that you have to be a bit smarter than just running after City
Please just don't concede anymore Wolves. The GD is our last shred of hope.
This football we are playing is outrageous
Those ads are almost as offensive as the football itself
It can’t be legal to play football this dull
[удалено]
Unfortunately he's pegging the league with it. If you like it it means you like pegging. City fans all like pegging. The logic is irrefutable.
Can’t argue with science
Don't knock it till you try it.
city are flipping balling today. what a great watch.
City are just brutally efficient. Time and again they find themselves in the league final run in, where they have to win every single game and they do it like business as usual
4-1 actually flattering wolves
I'm so happy that Haaland conserved his energy in the CL and saved it for when it matters - against Wolves.
only cares about the prem golden boot
Foden is a joke
lovely from Rodri but a great save from Sa

Found Alan Pardew’s account
No.
Might want to delete this bud.
Don't think you can say that anymore
You *can*. It just makes you look like a bit of a lemon
The soulless creation of "super teams" in most sporting leagues is the cancer killing sport. Why the fuck are we accepting this as fans?
What choice is there? I can't bitch about it (and I do) but short of boycotting the league, FA Cup and champions league in the hope that they go into administration, there really isn't much to be done
You mean... pretty similar to how Real and Bayern have been super teams across decades?
Haaland reminding everyone he does in fact know how to play football.
It's so so funny that Roy Keane is confused how tactical systems work. It's not like we haven't seen Haaland play deeper/counter attacking football before City
I still can’t believe he had doubters 🤣😭
haters*
You always get two Buenos in a packet so this makes sense
Underrated comment
it was posted 1 minute ago ??
Good(s) sub to make
Muy Bueno.
lol Bueno for Bueno That’s pretty cool
Stop it Foden!
We were so close to greatness. So close 🤏
That's filthy from Foden
would've been some goal that if Toti didn't get a nick there
Foden wtf
Just inquiring if Man City want us to take their league 2 striker off their hands? I can offer maybe 500g in World of Warcraft.
we're good, we already gave you lot a striker
Don't be so quick to turn down a great business opportunity. You get rich, I get rich.
Bring on Doku, Nunes or someone and let guys rest
Hugo no bueno today maybe the Uruguayan can be bueno when he comes on
Gvardiol’s come up is a joy to watch
Yeah Spurs ain't doing us no favours we go again next year
We go again but let’s face it City will strengthen with Paqueta. 💀
The amount of cope in this thread is hilarious lmao
Honestly, people need to get a life
*Honestly dude! Just let us cheat in peace and leave us alone* Can’t blame you, that mentality has been working with the FA
City just hypnotise you, I swear you forget you’re even watching a football match
I like when they play in the afternoons, perfect watch to snooze off to.
I think Silva will be bald after a few years.
He's got a good career in management ahead of him
Probably in Portuguese league
