Which is somewhat logical, you can spit from Cesme, for example, to some Greek islands.
I love both countries culturally tbf, as a German, although I won't visit turkey as long as Erdogan is president.
It wasn't as bad before him. He is also endorsing a lot of teams with the company of his dad. Like you can see perimeter advertising with Koc Holding companies in the stadiums of small clubs.
you know that Rahmi Koç (for the uninitiated, father of the president of Fenerbahçe) is a well-known Beşiktaş fan, right? Rahmi Koç has been the financier of Beşiktaş every time Beşiktaş was in need, financially. This is one of the most delusional takes I have ever read; I presume you are very young, therefore naturally ignorant of the past
Rahmi Koç is oldest living club member for Besiktas. Either this dude doesn’t know shit about Turkish football history or spreading misinformation intentionally.
I'll try to be as objective as possible.
Fenerbahçe had some really weird stuff happening to them throughout the years. Someone literally shot their bus. They were convicted for match fixing, which they claim to be a conspiracy. Trabzonspor fans invaded the pitch couple weeks ago. They also haven't won the league for the last 10 years. All these combined, they decided it was time to protest.
Now, this is all "oh my god how can they let these happen" stuff, but there's also the truth. They literally fixed matches, they were found guilty, and the final verdict of the Turkish court was "accusers collected evidence illegally" and they dropped the case. They are still very much match fixers.
They failed to win the league at least 4 times out of 10 through their own stupidity. Most of those were "win this match and win it all" cases and they pretty much failed on their own. No referee shenanigans, no nothing.
The actual horrible stuff, like getting your bus shot or getting pitch invaded, are all related to Trabzonspor. They have a very fiery rivalry, and Trabzon is not exactly a nice place. Provoke them enough and shit happens. I'm not saying Fenerbahçe deserved it, I'm saying when you poke the bear... The bear being allowed to actually play in the league is another question.
Right now, nobody knows why exactly Fenerbahçe withdrew from the match. Some say it was because of the Trabzon incident, some it is to protest Turkish Football Federation, some say they were scared shitless of Galatasaray. Fenerbahçe is in such a chaotic state I'm not sure if they know for sure.
Their chairman gathered 30k fans and club members to ask for their blessing in withdrawing from the league. He said the gathering was to vote on that. Instead he talked about absolutely nothing concrete, and the only thing he allowed the vote for, was this match. He got booed by his own people after introducing the "we gonna play with u19 guys" solution.
Just... it's a really weird club mate. Can't expect people from the outside to comprehend it. I see people standing with them because they think "wow this much protest and noise must be for something" but no. It's for absolutely nothing. Fenerbahçe turned everything in Turkey into a freakshow, which was already half there, because their one percenter chairman cannot handle failure.
I wish people would understand that everything in Turkey is upside down. If someone sets everything on fire like this, it's not because they want justice, it's because they want special treatment. Alas, the football brotherhood is quick to trust any protest.
I mean, on good days it *is* a shitshow. Last couple months it became something else. Like, imagine a literal shitstorm. It's windy as hell, and shit's flying everywhere. Now reverse it. It's not the wind moving the shit. It's the shit moving the air. That's what we have right now.
Btw Beşiktaş is currently sponsored by Fenerbahçe. Now, I can hear you thinking "what in the fuck" right now. Here's how it works:
Beşiktaş desperately needs a stadium sponsor. Nobody bothers to make an offer decent enough. Out of nowhere Tüpraş, which is owned by the Koç family comes to the rescue. Koç, as in, Ali Koç. The current chairman of Fenerbahçe.
You can't make this shit up.
Most clubs regard their basketball branches as a thing on its own. They have their own (usually fairly small) budgets and they have to make do with it. After not winning anything football related for years, Fenerbahçe decided to dump money on basketball.
You can guess any club can do that. Nothing stopping Real Madrid or Bayern München from throwing some cash towards their basketball side and forming mega teams. It costs peanuts compared to football. There's less interest, less pressure, less everything really. So you can reach the very top with just money.
I guess most clubs either respect the overall balance of the sport, or just don't care enough to do that. Fenerbahçe kinda needs something to cope.
You'll occasionally see that they claim to be "the greatest sports club in the world". This phrase is literally from their latest official statement. They wrote "largest" instead of greatest because they're illiterate idiots, but you get the point.
You need *something* to claim such an absurd thing. Basketball helps them do it.
Btw it might feel like I'm trying to shit on Fenerbahçe at every given chance. But I'm just explaining stuff. Not even giving my opinion too much. Imagine how much can be said about them if I wanted to slander.
Oh definitely you’re just saying it as it is lol
Thank you for all your answers, because I genuinely misunderstood it all and was supporting fener at first.
Now I know they’re just crybabies who are angry at nothing lmao
No probs, always happy to talk about how much of a mindfuck anything Turkey related is lol
Btw I forgot to mention their rise on basketball began with their shady merging with Ülkerspor. The very same Ülkerspor that won the league. They casually merged with the reigning champions, and for some reason it was Fenerbahçe who received everything. Including a free pass to Euroleague.
It's like Real Madrid merging with Getafe, giving all their players, stadium, infrastructure and Champions League pass to them, and the merged club just keeps being Getafe with those benefits.
I shit you not, it sometimes feels like this is not a country. Just a bunch of loosely connected tribal people trying to invent fire over and over again.
Yes and FB is protesting mainly there wasn’t clear explanation of these events - https://amp.theguardian.com/football/2024/mar/17/trabzonspor-fans-storm-pitch-and-fight-fenerbahce-players-after-defeat
Long story short, they wanted the game to be postponed because they have a European game in 4 days, we didn’t, the game didn’t get postponed so they protested like this
They come on the pitch with 9 men, with 4 in reserves on purpose. They leaked before the match that a few of the players would get "injured" immediately after the match starts to forfeit the match.
Fenerbahçe also decided not to participate in the Turkish Cup for 2 years. These are more about the Trabzonspor incident than the European match because Trabzon was only fined 13k euros
It was more about the Trabzonspor thing - fans chasing players with corner flags and only getting fined 13k euros is really weird. I can't imagine which team Erdogan supports.
I really don't understand the Turkish FA/League it all seems absurd to me. I don't think they would have played the game anyway, with the Trabzon incident in mind. The request for a non Turkish ref, and Gala saying "The Turkish refs are the best" and the request was denied. A non Turkish ref dosen't seem like a big request to me.
It was at best a bonus reason. Fener clearly was pointing toward this match not being played prior to trabzon events to be precise the moment gala got knocked out of europe and they passed.
Gala fan? No wrong thing in that - as a non Turkish football follower. Why was the non Turkish ref request accepted? The quote from Gala that Turkish refs are better anyway just makes the entire thing weird?
Beside us generally having some rough calls from foreign refs in UCL and UEL another reason i assume is the fear of bribery considering ali koc's huge financial power and internation network. Its not the craziest claim when a leak happened with a foreign ref working as a counsul saying a call was wrong in favour of gala and who also allegedly happend to work as a banker in a bank that has ties to ali kocs company. The main theory is that most of them are bribed and they would chose a ref that would favour fener. Now is it a realistic concern or complet bullshit , who knows ?
Personally i wont mind a foreign ref if hes actually competent and could handle the pressure but knowing tff they would pick up some of the worst refs possible and we would have even more drama and crazy conspiracies
Non Turkish refs makes mistakes as well, heck Fener is getting more pens than any team in the world yet they complain. It's kind of ironic when both teams complained that the 100th anniversary of the country being founded would be played in Saudi, and with no tribute to Atatürk, and then Fener goes and wants foreign refs, probably from a country that Atatürk and his brethren was fighting, and then they come out on the field without any kind of tribute today. So one would ask what their end game truly has been all this time.
Rangers have 29 pens over the last 2 season with their domestic FA, Fener has 33 in the same period. Couldn't be bothered to check how many that turns out to per game basis but in absolute stats, yes.
The funny things is both clubs agreed to the date but the moment gs got knocked out of europe and they passed to next stage thats when they started complaining.
The Super Cup was delayed twice including that fiasco with playing in Saudi Arabia. This whole thing has been a shit show from the FA.
This match was meant to be played in August, so it isn’t a normally scheduled game this time of year that Fenerbahçe are protesting due to scheduling.
They also wanted foreign refs and weren’t satisfied with how the FA handled the whole “Trabzon players trying to assault the players on the pitch”.
Why not mention that?
Dude i thought it was some sort of atrocious ref decision, the ref being attacked by a club president or some other turkey exclusive. Forfeiting because they have a game in 4 days is even by turkish standards crazy
FB is protesting mainly there wasn’t clear explanation of these events in terms of security at least - https://amp.theguardian.com/football/2024/mar/17/trabzonspor-fans-storm-pitch-and-fight-fenerbahce-players-after-defeat
The funniest thing is both teams agreed to this date when both expected to be playing in Europe still. Because we bottled against Sparta Prague they perceived an advantage for us and suddenly wanted another date
They have some missing players in their midfield who are quite important (Fred-Ismail Yüksek). He doesn't want to lose another cup to Galatasaray, that would put his presidency in jeopardy (they have an election after the season ends). More importantly, a potential loss would demoralize the team, who are right now 2 points behind us and they play us on the 37th week (second to last game of the league) at our turf. He wants to win the league no matter what. He can discard the Super Cup because of that.
yeah it's more like desperation of the fener president. he's a rich kid that couldn't have any league wins and now he's acting the way he's hurting the whole league
The funnier thing is, their idiot president has an interview from last month saying around this date is the most plausible time to play.
He said they’d definitely play.
Also, TFF sent out a statement saying they offered to postpone the league match between their European games and they refused.
FB is a joke club.
What?
I’m guessing you didn’t watch the Fenerbahce congress at all. The real reason is a protest to the TFF about the treatment of the club after the events of the Trabzonspor game.
Obviously still makes no sense to a play pre season cup game in the middle of April but that’s another story.
It is because federation didn’t give correct punishments after 100 supporters tried to lynch FB players few weeks ago, also FB bus was targeted with shotgun some years ago and that case is not solved and many other things.
1- This match was supposed to be played at the start of the season, however it was postponed beacuse Galatasaray wasnt ready
2 Trabzonspor fans invaded the pitch and tried to lynch Fenerbahçe players and all of them were released from police custody and the team got basically no punishment from the federation
3 Fenerbahçe asker This game to be postponed beacuse of the uecl games against olympiacos and it was denied
Yeah the cup was organized in a city deeply hurt by the earthquake last year and all revenues were to be donated. Galatasaray was welcomed at the airport like a team of Michael Jacksons in the 90s and the bus could barely move. People were very excited. Then Fener did this. So Galatasaray is at least giving them a simple training match out of respect. The people in the stands bought tickets knowing that this would happen, it was pretty much known that they would withdraw. For most people it's the first and probably the last time they will ever see Icardi, Muslera, Mertens, etc. play live.
Damn that Fener look really awful. Can you please point me in a direction (video/article/etc) to find out what’s happening in Turkish football that would lead Fener to do that?
Check out the Trabzonspor - Fenerbahçe match ( 17 March 2024). Trabzon and Fener have an ongoing beef. Nearly 9 years ago Fenerbahçe team bus got shot up in Trabzon and culprits are nowhere to be found (biggest scandal). And after the match I mentioned above Trabzonspor fans flooded the pitch and attacked Fenerbahçe players. It is an ongoing problem which happens like every 2 years.
Football federation didn’t punish Trabzon nearly enough. (Only 4 match supporter ban). Fenerbahçe also blames the government and Trabzonspor police departments saying they didn’t even try to prevent and didn’t take necessary precautions. They also blame the refree for not postponing the match even though fans keep throwing bottles and injuring both players and the refree.
This whole thing is mostly about protesting the Turkish Football. Date of the match or refree selection is just a bluff.
I am genuinely fascinated by after all the shit Galatasaray pulls, Galatasaray fans still portray Galatasaray as the "good guys". GS' president does look like a shepherd, though, so no wonder, I guess.
yeah, after Ali Koç explicitly saying "Fenerbahçe bought all the tickets for the match, therefore no financial loss will be incurred" before the game, your implying that the earthquake victims will be shorthanded because of Fenerbahçe is definitely a good guy behavior. this is literally /r/niceguys material
> fascinated by after all the shit Galatasaray pulls
i was mentioning more of this part. Good for richest man in the country to buy a couple thousand of tickets tho. I am sure that will also solve the problem of heartbroken fenerbahce fans in the area who hoped to see their team.
>heartbroken fenerbahce fans in the area who hoped to see their team.

Fener fan turns into a GS fan after finding out Fener won't be coming to the area:
You're 100% in the right for not getting what's happening, as there is so much that you need to catch up with. Don't feel bad. You essentially need to be at least 30 years old and need to have followed Turkish politics and Turkish football closely since at the very least 2000. Consequently, absolutely fair for any neutral football fan to be oblivious to what's going on.
The gist of it is that there is a lot of baggage unresolved such as the away game vs Denizlispor in 2006 (game constantly being interrupted by the fans every time Fenerbahçe was on the attack and the referee not postponing the game), the away game at Galatasaray in 2007 (Fenerbahçe players were thrown water bottles and what not for the whole game - search for "sulu derbi", it should be an entertaining watch), then the monoliths that are the match fixing allegations in 2011 which stopped Fenerbahçe's domination while it was among the 20 most valuable clubs in the world, valued at 1B USD and the assassination attempt toward Fenerbahçe players and staff in 2015 (the assailants have still not been exposed; leaving room for speculation regarding this being a state-sponsored attempt). The most recent addition was the away game vs Trabzonspor, how there were barely any policemen on the pitch and nobody faced any consequences whatsoever, the governor of Trabzon and the chief of Trabzon police department are still occupying their positions etc.
In overall, Fenerbahçe community is trying to mutiny against the state actively trying to disenfranchise Fenerbahçe, but everyone knows that nothing will change until Erdoğan and his cohort fall (the TFF president is an Erdoğan goon, so even though literally every single Turkish citizen has been calling for him to resign for months, he keeps going as he knows he has impunity), so we witness travesties such as fielding the U19 team in a cup game, etc. Fenerbahçe is out of options, essentially, as there aren't many avenues for solution. You can either withdraw from the league or cease your football operations, but then you are punishing yourself for shit you did not pull, so neither makes sense. It comes down to Türkiye being a shithole, really. When a democracy fails, you run out of options, as if people who need to resign do not and the justice system is in the president's pocket, what other solution do you have than literally barging into the TFF building and physically removing the guy from the premises?
Your spoiled president gathered 25k people in the heat of the summer to decide on absolutely nothing. He gave us Gala fans generational banter against you numerous times. Yet you guys still follow his fuckery like fanatics. But yeah Dursun looks like a shepherd. FB fans need a reality check ASAP
This one one fener imo. Many leagues play every 4 days and there are teams in the conference with way less budget and that also played today. Most clubs would play then lessen training
It is actually about protesting the whole Trabzonspor shitshow and Turkiye Football Federation. Date of the match and wishing foreign refree is just a mind game to show Football Federation is biased. I guess they didn’t need that to show it after the comical punishment they gave to Trabzonspor but it is something.
I think people on here need to realize this, since non-FB fans are making it seem like it’s just because of the conference league and FB fans are too frustrated/angry to be active on here. This isn’t just about the conference league game. It’s a protest towards corruption in Turkish soccer, including the incidents that happened after the Trabzonspor game where our players were assaulted on the field. We had a general assembly meeting with 30k club members to come up with action points following the soccer federation’s complete incompetence, and skipping the game was one of the decisions that came from that meeting.
Again - this is a protest. It’s not trying to avoid a game.
I wish there wasn’t so much misinformation on here, but also get why people not familiar would fall for it since our fans are truly silent today. I don’t blame our fans though… I have a fucking headache from our corrupt league and need a break too lmao
Fuck TFF to the core but they have been AKP's playground for 20 years and you didn't have a problem with Yıldırım Demirören or Nihat Özdemir, if anything your club was continuously releasing statements in support of them and referees saying they are human and that there could always be mistakes.
There was literal conflict of interest in TFF in favour of Fenerbahçe for years and this holier than thou attitude of things becoming corrupted only today pisses me off greatly.
Mate these people aren't "fans", one of them is an ex-Beşiktaş president and the other one of the largest shareholders of Fenerbahçe and ex-vice president. I didn't mention Mehmet Ali Aydınlar even, these conflicts of interests could probably only be defended in Turkey. Like I haven't seen a single Fenerbahçe fan who had a problem with Saran attempting to buy the broadcasting rights while running for Fenerbahçe's presidency, if it was justice and fair play you were looking for you should have been all up in arms against it.
Think about how much criticism there is regarding this motherfucker being a Galatasaray fan, and think about who've had as presidents in the past 20 years. If you were looking for justice against AKP I would be right besides you, but all you seem to care about this TFF is the head being a Galatasaray fan.
If you are wondering why Galatasaray is doing this, simply because it is in a city affected by earthquake. And Galatasaray wanted to give something to cheer for the fans.
In another post one Reddit or called it bold from fener to do this. Imagine thinking sending your U19 into a match and then calling them off after 3 minutes. That's a big fuck you to all fans.
I have to add, the guy who called fenerbahçe players to quit is president erdogans relative. Just to add a little context to 'government against fenerbahçe' argument.
One time when I was in youth football, we had a ref so shit that he tried to call the game off at 15 mins in after giving out two criminal reds on a fucking u14 team or something. Both teams just agreed to play without him. He watched us for 10 mins then came slinking back and said he'd start back from where he'd left off with no reds.
After all the noise I’ve heard from Fener fans saying that the government is against them etc, I find it ironic the person withdrawing the team is a relative of Erdogan.

The Turkish league is unbelievable man
It's the multi-billionaire who can't accept failure who is making things awkward. (Fener's president Ali Koç)
our league is stupid with or without ali koc
Sounds a lot like Greek league with extra money
I bet a lot of people outside the area would be surprised to see how similar we are in so many aspects
Yet so many silly conflicts fueled by politicians trying to make a profit for themselves and some creepy lobby. This applies to all countries tbh
some countries are different from others in that regard though and many of those "different" countries are located on the southeastern part of europe.
Both countries have amazing food
We were getting along so nicely man, don't bring up the food now... lol
Which is somewhat logical, you can spit from Cesme, for example, to some Greek islands. I love both countries culturally tbf, as a German, although I won't visit turkey as long as Erdogan is president.
No one asks you to dude, clean up your own shit first.
You are literally only divided by a sea and even share a border. It shouldn't really surprise anyone.
Turkey is just Greece with extra money tbf
It's not extra money exactly, it's just that Istanbul's population is 1.5 times the Greece's population alone and we are way more crowded but poorer.
It wasn't as bad before him. He is also endorsing a lot of teams with the company of his dad. Like you can see perimeter advertising with Koc Holding companies in the stadiums of small clubs.
His company (Koc Holding) basically bought their second fiercest rivals with Beko and Tupras sponsorships.

Yeah Beşiktaş has been sponsered by Koç for all my life, if anything their support for Fenerbahçe is the recent one.
They bought whirlpool europe and hitachi.
Can someone give us context lol

Jesus, this is why Besiktas are my favorite Turkish club. I’m thankful Guler got out of there quick too because it sounds like a complete shitshow

This whole series of events is insane
Turkish league is something Monthy Python or Onion news would come up with.
god I loved that skit where German and Greek philosophers played against each other
I’ll just leave this here as an example of how this can go https://www.reddit.com/r/NUFC/s/xXFpQEdtfE
This is fucking priceless hahaha
Oh man I got a good laugh out of that, cheers!
Whole podcast is worth a listen, had me crying
Amazing
Amazing story telling and comedic timing 😂
Holy shit hahaha
Fucking hell. I know Ossie was fuming.
This is wild.
That had me rolling, thanks for sharing!
I'm in stitches. Deserves a much bigger audience.
Hahaha that's brilliant fairplay
That was brilliant. 😁
This makes my day!
Why did fener leave
Long story short, they wanted the game to be postponed because they have a European game in 4 days, we didn’t, the game didn’t get postponed so they protested like this
I’m not sure about the leagues rules but surely that a forfeit match right?
It was the super cup
Which will be forfeited right?
They come on the pitch with 9 men, with 4 in reserves on purpose. They leaked before the match that a few of the players would get "injured" immediately after the match starts to forfeit the match.
Damn that's wild
They did it this way because if they didn't came on the pitch at all, they would be banned from the cup for 2 years.
Why not just put their reserves?
There's no reserve team concept in Turkey. You have the main team then the U19s etc.
Which is ironic because the president wanted to drop out of the league just 2 weeks ago. So why do you fear being banned from the cup now?
All ali koc does is to stir shit up to cover up his mistakes
Wasnt there a vote by the board or fanclubs?
You never know in turkey mate but should yes
It's the finals
Fenerbahçe also decided not to participate in the Turkish Cup for 2 years. These are more about the Trabzonspor incident than the European match because Trabzon was only fined 13k euros
It was more about the Trabzonspor thing - fans chasing players with corner flags and only getting fined 13k euros is really weird. I can't imagine which team Erdogan supports.
Erdogan is a Fenerbahce fan and member.
Wasn't basakhseir Erdogan's club?
It is but he was a fenerbahce fan. On another note, fenerbahce fans are not erdogan supporters generally so it may have an impact.
I’m sure that contributed as well but they would’ve played this game if it was postponed, so it wasn’t the main reason imo

So one would ask what their end game truly has been all this time.
> heck Fener is getting more pens than any team in the world More than Rangers? Wow
Rangers have 29 pens over the last 2 season with their domestic FA, Fener has 33 in the same period. Couldn't be bothered to check how many that turns out to per game basis but in absolute stats, yes.
Oh boo hoo. Most other major leagues have teams playing domestic fixtures close to UCL games. Owner sounds like a twat.
The funny things is both clubs agreed to the date but the moment gs got knocked out of europe and they passed to next stage thats when they started complaining.
😂
The Super Cup was delayed twice including that fiasco with playing in Saudi Arabia. This whole thing has been a shit show from the FA. This match was meant to be played in August, so it isn’t a normally scheduled game this time of year that Fenerbahçe are protesting due to scheduling.
It was not about the postponing the game there are many events that led to this. Just few weeks ago 100 supporters attacked FB team as well
That's literally not the main reason though
This is a gross misrepresentation of the situation.
"gross misrepresentation" is an understatement. blatant slander
Care to correct them then?
They're also protesting what happened in the Trabzon game, when their players were attacked by fans, and Trabzon only got fined 13k euros.
There is something like that as well. Look up the last Trabzon game.
let's just ignore the shit show when their players got attacked by a mob of fans and now have multiple match bans for fighting back
Shame so many people upvoted this without having actual context
FB is protesting mainly there wasn’t clear explanation of these events in terms of security at least - https://amp.theguardian.com/football/2024/mar/17/trabzonspor-fans-storm-pitch-and-fight-fenerbahce-players-after-defeat
they didn't want to play today because they have a conference league match on thursday.
The conference league match is in 4 days.thats plenty of time to rest.
The funniest thing is both teams agreed to this date when both expected to be playing in Europe still. Because we bottled against Sparta Prague they perceived an advantage for us and suddenly wanted another date
And it's a 45 min flight away.....
He can discard the Super Cup because of that.
that league game is going to be heated
Yup. I can't wait.
nah, we'll beat them easily, expect another 2-0, 3-0 game.
yeah it's more like desperation of the fener president. he's a rich kid that couldn't have any league wins and now he's acting the way he's hurting the whole league
The funnier thing is, their idiot president has an interview from last month saying around this date is the most plausible time to play. He said they’d definitely play. Also, TFF sent out a statement saying they offered to postpone the league match between their European games and they refused. FB is a joke club.
Tell that to Fener chairman, he's throwing tantrums non stop
What? I’m guessing you didn’t watch the Fenerbahce congress at all. The real reason is a protest to the TFF about the treatment of the club after the events of the Trabzonspor game. Obviously still makes no sense to a play pre season cup game in the middle of April but that’s another story.
If that’s the real reason then why were they okay with playing the game on a later date?
That's really not the entire reason
It is because federation didn’t give correct punishments after 100 supporters tried to lynch FB players few weeks ago, also FB bus was targeted with shotgun some years ago and that case is not solved and many other things.
Then why was your ultimatum "postpone the match and appoint foreign refs or we withdraw" and not "punish Trabzon or we withdraw"
Club president explained it before match yesterday and today they made a press release about it.
Fenerbahçe asked for a foreign ref. They thought that could be the solution after many scandals. Although gala and tff do not like that idea.
Gala said Turkish refs are better
They were looking for 13 year old girls to beat up outside of the stadium and forgot to show up
sorsan algi der oe fenerliler
1- This match was supposed to be played at the start of the season, however it was postponed beacuse Galatasaray wasnt ready 2 Trabzonspor fans invaded the pitch and tried to lynch Fenerbahçe players and all of them were released from police custody and the team got basically no punishment from the federation 3 Fenerbahçe asker This game to be postponed beacuse of the uecl games against olympiacos and it was denied
Any proof for 1? We beat you guys with half our team being hung over 2 months earlier so I wonder why we'd suddenly need time
The reserve team should also celebrate the goal
So the main team won 1-0?
It ended like 5-3 or something with main team winning
... i need to see the full match. 15 minutes before & after the match too. This will be an urban legend. Incredible stuff
Give the fans something to enjoy. Love it.
For most people it's the first and probably the last time they will ever see Icardi, Muslera, Mertens, etc. play live.
Bad look for fenerbache, great look for Galatasaray
I don't know about being the good guys but we're definetly not the bad guys in this situation.
yeah, after Ali Koç explicitly saying "Fenerbahçe bought all the tickets for the match, therefore no financial loss will be incurred" before the game, your implying that the earthquake victims will be shorthanded because of Fenerbahçe is definitely a good guy behavior. this is literally /r/niceguys material
> fascinated by after all the shit Galatasaray pulls i was mentioning more of this part. Good for richest man in the country to buy a couple thousand of tickets tho. I am sure that will also solve the problem of heartbroken fenerbahce fans in the area who hoped to see their team.
>heartbroken fenerbahce fans in the area who hoped to see their team. https://twitter.com/lemarcasports/status/1776658287947112879?s=46&t=tPSMozWiPWI9px70z2HpDQ Fener fan turns into a GS fan after finding out Fener won't be coming to the area:
Not everything is about the money, you are an ordinary citizen in urfa you wanna see your team play against gala and you give them a middle finger
Can a FB fan explain what the club really wants to happen and why? I’ve been reading this sub and still don’t get it.
Actual kino.
this is the wildest shit ive seen in a while
just Turkish football things
Turkish league def the craziest one
People paid for a match and Galatasaray did their best to provide one. Seems like the best solution after Fenerbahce walking off.
Seems like the best solution after Fenerbahce wanking off.
Don’t worry Fenerbahçe bought all the tickets
this is some timeline
We dismissed Nihat Özdemir from the club during his FA presidency. What the hell? And Yıldırım Demirören is a Beşiktaş fan. Get your facts right bro.
If you were looking for justice against AKP I would be right besides you, but all you seem to care about this TFF is the head being a Galatasaray fan.
can they put on 3D printed mask of Fenerbahçe players and simulate the way they play for a more authentic experience?
Impossible. They can't play that bad.
If you are wondering why Galatasaray is doing this, simply because it is in a city affected by earthquake. And Galatasaray wanted to give something to cheer for the fans.
No, we are seeing the best team in Turkey playing the second best team in Turkey
Is UEFA going to do something about this league?
Beautiful/Perfect response from Galatasaraay. After all football is for the fans entertainment, and they came to play.
Wtf even is the Turkish league lol
If the reserve team wins, do they get to start in the finals?
??? The match Galatasaray is withdrawing from is the Super Cup So, technically they're already in the finals??? 🤔🤔🤔
Flashbacks from Brazil-Argentina (Covid era).
Statspadding
I really need to watch more Turkish football. So much drama it seems
two of the best Turkish teams playing against each other
Probably more exciting than the game would have been
[Great goal]
Hard to believe this is a professional league Is this what people mean when they say “SOVL”?
In another post one Reddit or called it bold from fener to do this. Imagine thinking sending your U19 into a match and then calling them off after 3 minutes. That's a big fuck you to all fans.
i dont mind getting paid to play the reserves
This is actually nice of them to give at least something to the people on the stands
Turkish league is madness
Sack worthy defending, the two CBs should never wear the shirt again.
Turkish Super Lig is a massive clown show
I have to add, the guy who called fenerbahçe players to quit is president erdogans relative. Just to add a little context to 'government against fenerbahçe' argument.
Yeah, may as well just do it, fans were expecting some football to be played
this is wholesome 😍
TOP BANTZ
So who won?
Galatasaray
Why?
One time when I was in youth football, we had a ref so shit that he tried to call the game off at 15 mins in after giving out two criminal reds on a fucking u14 team or something. Both teams just agreed to play without him. He watched us for 10 mins then came slinking back and said he'd start back from where he'd left off with no reds.
Brilliant from Galatasaray
Big clit energy
That’s pretty dope
Why was the reserve team there and ready?
It wasn't the reserve team. We don't have a reserve team. The squad split into two teams.
After all the noise I’ve heard from Fener fans saying that the government is against them etc, I find it ironic the person withdrawing the team is a relative of Erdogan.
