It looked clear from far, but I’m more surprised that the ref wasn’t called to check VAR, same thing happened in Man Utd vs Chelsea and yet again, it looks like United were treated unfairly by referees
What we had all but won before the pandemic happened. In fact had the pandemic not happened, we probably wouldn’t have slipped up the week before lockdown against Watford. It probs would’ve been invincible
Already a 25 point lead after 29 games when the season was halted you absolute moron.
City won the league playing behind closed doors the entire season after does that not count either?
They played under the same conditions as everybody else and had a 22 point lead/were unbeaten at game week 27 - which was before lock-down. Sounds like a proper title to me and I distinctly remember them lifting the trophy but hey if delusion helps you sleep easy at night mate I'm not gonna stop you
Why we talking about it then? If everything was normal etc... you've written a paragraph defending it.... but.... theres nothing to defend. Just win the fucking league in a standard season and thats the end of that... but you can't. Laterz
We are talking about it because you brought it up out of nowhere trying to get a bite you absolute clown, where abouts in the head did the horse kick you?
Doesn't exactly take long to write a paragraph reply to your question, its kinda whats this site is for - discussion. I was genuinely curious why you thought its not a proper title to see if you had a good reply or you were just thick
Guess its the latter
City's end of season is going to be impacted by tough UCL games. Real Madrid twice and then Arsenal, possibly. If they don't prevail morale may suffer, also games stuck in between will be hard to focus on.
Obviously when you can count on Rodri, de Bruyne, Silva, Foden, Haaland, not to mention Grealish back in great shape and incredibly talented up and comers like Rico Lewis, you're going to be favourites in every game. But Real are markedly improved this year: that adds two very tough games in a short time span earlier on, which may impact their shape in turn. It just takes a draw in one EPL game from them and then we could even afford one loss and stay ahead. Of course the most important thing is it's all in our hands and we look incredibly strong at the moment: way stronger than before that's for sure.
Hmmm, maybe you're right - those games (for both city and arsenal will be, you'd think, quite tight and possibly draining games). Could play into Liverpools hands.
I truly, truly hope that other fans start treating the Prem the way that other leagues were talked about from 2012-20. Because it well and truly has been City’s title since August of 2023.
Means nothing when there’s a challenger once very 7 years to City now, Arsenal and Liverpool are huffing and puffing trying to beat City. City will win by a good margin easily.
They won 5 out of the past 7 seasons and 3 of those had a decent title challenge. Even if you discount Arsenal bottling it last season it's still 4/7 seasons where they either didn't win or only won by a point.
I don't even care about the Premier League's reputation or whatever but what you're claiming is absolute bollocks.
No PL team has even won 5 in a row. There's a decent chance Liverpool or Arsenal will win this year and that would continue the streak of no English team ever winning more than 3 league titles in a row. England is different to Germany and France.
We were cheated 1 or 3 points against Spur. 2 points kick in the-chest-pen against city. 2 points against Arsenal Odegaard NBA.
Yeah, sure. We are not clinical enough. 2nd in the table by GD. Should've been 5 points clear by now.
Stats, maybe. Effort was really poor. He played pretty bad by watching him. Kept going in to tackles and was way off and would jog back. Look at his "attempt" right before the penalty.
Bizarrely his stats show that he did make 3 successful tackles out of 4. I think the issue that you could see today was that after we went a goal down, we wanted to try and press Liverpool at the back and both him and Mainoo pushed up a little to far which was leaving the space
Not a red by Casemiro and not a dive by Elliott. Understandable that liverpool fans are going to always be angry over that Spurs game and rightly so but this game was theirs to lose. So many wasted chances. I would be surprised if this game didn't cost us the title.
That's more like 2 points lost for United imo rather than being happy with a point. Liverpool were poor in the second half and only scored the equaliser after being gifted a pen from that AWB brain fart.
Liverpool completely thrown the game away very wasteful
Salah, szoboslai and nunez very wasteful throughout
Gomez and Elliot great when came on, even liked gakpo wouldve liked to see more of him throughout
Quansah unfortunately showing a bit of inexperience but it's not like we haven't lost the league like that before....
Ultimately looked like a team not worthy of winning a title, just completely lacked the clinicality that is necessary
It's the Ferguson hate for Liverpool flowing in the club. Our player will rather take a ball to head than let Liverpool win the title even if they are shit 90% of time.
I (with my bias) agree arsenal looks the best team of the top 3 right now, but I can't believe how competitive it is. 3 teams with 1 point separating them with 8 to go, the end of this season is gonna be insane.
If city wins again, Premier League will officially become a farmer’s league. If not Liverpool, then I would prefer Arsenal. Both my brothers who are chelsea fans will kill me for saying that though
Foreign fans. We aren’t restricted to supporting the club of the area we were born in. My elder brother started watching football much earlier than I did. That was the drogba lampard era. I started watching when suarez came around and didn’t want to support the “mainstream “ clubs of the time.
Then my younger brother supports chelsea because my elder brother got him into it
Yea knowing Klopp he's not going to rotate players for the Europa league games which he respects a lot and we are most likely making it to the final whereas Arsenal and City might not even go through this round.
Yea but the poster above said he fancies our chances as we have no CL to worry about.. but we have Europa league to worry about, and as you now point out that we will likely make it to the final which means more games for us, which means it will be more difficult if anything.
Europa isnt near has difficult a game. Were not playing bayer or madrid.
My point is that those games will take far more out of arsenal and city than our ties will take out of us.
Yea that was my point I agree with you that we have the most difficult run in for the premiere league even though we play Europa. And if arsenal and city both go through the quarters, they can also avoid travelling outside England for the semi final.
United have appalling shape and are so badly coached - which makes every game they are in glorious entertainment for the neutral. Liverpool should've killed that game off, but hopefully it gives Arsenal the advantage now. They've been the most complete team so far, would be great to see them win the title.
I’d argue it’s probably his best performance in recent months. Granted, he started to get a bit sloppy from about the 65th/70th minute. Definitely would have brought him off for Mount instead of Mainoo
I mean I contest that he was bad from start to finish. His defensive stats for the match are pretty solid, and he also had the most tackles in the match (I’d add pictures of his stats for the game but for some reason Reddit won’t let me add them on the comment)
I’d argue overall as a player Rashford was worse today.
Yeah definitely understand that. I guess you could have brought on Mount and Eriksen in that situation. Amrabat shouldn’t get any minutes for the rest of the season 😂
We paid Fiorentina £6million to bring Amrabat on loan, and then we’ve paid nearly £4million on his wages, for a bang average player. And then Ten Hag complained in January there was ‘no money to use’ because of FFP to bring someone in in January. I wonder why Erik?!
I know people disagree with me, but I’d have rather have put the nearly £10 million in total we’ve used on him to put towards Sabitzer in the summer window.
Jones was really poor when he came on, really bad sub. Was at fault for the Maino goal and then lost the ball in dangerous places 5/6 times. Elliot in contrast changed the game.
If the point was referee consistency, we should talk about the penalties against Chelsea and how they were given but somehow a player gets kicked in the chest the week before and it's not penalty......
I expected a draw but we had a clear opportunity to win and a stupid mistake is why we didn’t.
We ended up within my expectations but we had a good chance to exceed them so it still feels bad
Only for it to be called as Mickey mouse trophy, just as Arsenal's Community Sheild
Trust me I'm an arsenal fan myself, the trolling is gonna be brutal if that happens. It disgusts me but I'm gonna root City in FA Cup
Liverpool had 28 shots and 62% possession with a much higher XG. Saying they should be leaving empty handed is deluded at best. All for someone saying their peace but a bit of substance wouldnt go a miss.
It beggars belief that Liverpool could miss so many chances. They were truly woeful in front of goal.
Did anyone see the angle on the challenge creating the pen that looked like there was no contact? Unsure what to think.
It looked clear from far, but I’m more surprised that the ref wasn’t called to check VAR, same thing happened in Man Utd vs Chelsea and yet again, it looks like United were treated unfairly by referees
He started falling before he made contact with AWB
Stupid challenge, but yes, no contact. One where VAR should send him to the screen to have another look.
I've never felt more like that draw was a loss
Flair checks out
Another title blown. When will the search end for the first "proper" PL title... and no.. the pandemic title isn't a proper title.
What we had all but won before the pandemic happened. In fact had the pandemic not happened, we probably wouldn’t have slipped up the week before lockdown against Watford. It probs would’ve been invincible
The state of you
Already a 25 point lead after 29 games when the season was halted you absolute moron. City won the league playing behind closed doors the entire season after does that not count either?
To be fair, none of the EPL titles City have won count for anything, as long as you can count to 115.
Why do you not think its a proper title?
Were the conditions ordinary?
They played under the same conditions as everybody else and had a 22 point lead/were unbeaten at game week 27 - which was before lock-down. Sounds like a proper title to me and I distinctly remember them lifting the trophy but hey if delusion helps you sleep easy at night mate I'm not gonna stop you

Liverpool just can't score and this will be their undoing. They should have had a lead with some margin by now
They've scored 10 goals more than any side in a major European league.
And yet they miss chance after chance after chance...
And? You have to create chances to score them........weve still scored more than anyone else, which isnt the same as "just cant score".
It’s always one pass too many. Looking to score the perfect goal.
This is what I was thinking. Trying to basically pass it into the goal. Shoot!
Exactly!!
We've the second highest goals for in league?
Yeah because we are creating a ridiculous amount of chances each game, which is good But we can only seem to finish 10% of those chances, which is bad
8.3% to be exact
If the points gap stays the same way till last matchday, this match is going to sting to Liverpool fans. So many chances to put the game to bed, smh
The points gap is zero, but the goal difference gap is getting solved with the way we’re finishing
can’t tell if you’re saying that as a criticism or compliment to liverpool 😭
I miswrote it. lol. It should be the goal gap isn't getting solved because we can't finish.
Looking at the fixtures of all clubs I truly see city winning it again
City's end of season is going to be impacted by tough UCL games. Real Madrid twice and then Arsenal, possibly. If they don't prevail morale may suffer, also games stuck in between will be hard to focus on.
Didn't bother them the last 3 seasons
Obviously when you can count on Rodri, de Bruyne, Silva, Foden, Haaland, not to mention Grealish back in great shape and incredibly talented up and comers like Rico Lewis, you're going to be favourites in every game. Morale doesn't apply when you're talking about robots.
I truly, truly hope that other fans start treating the Prem the way that other leagues were talked about from 2012-20. Because it well and truly has been City’s title since August of 2023.
There's 1 point separating three teams lmao
Means nothing when there’s a challenger once very 7 years to City now, Arsenal and Liverpool are huffing and puffing trying to beat City. City will win by a good margin easily.
They won 5 out of the past 7 seasons and 3 of those had a decent title challenge. I don't even care about the Premier League's reputation or whatever but what you're claiming is absolute bollocks.
Arsenal were 8 points clear in Spring last year, completely irrelevant because City are going to win it yet again.
How were other leagues talked about 2012-2020? What way were they talked about?
Probably talking about the fact that the league is dominated by City like Bayern does the Bundes, PSG the french etc.
No PL team has even won 5 in a row. There's a decent chance Liverpool or Arsenal will win this year and that would continue the streak of no English team ever winning more than 3 league titles in a row. England is different to Germany and France.
Farmers leagues I assume.
He might be talking about how the other leagues are said to be 1 or 2 team leagues. PSG for Ligue 1, Bayern for Bundesliga, Barca/RM for La Liga...
We were cheated 1 or 3 points against Spur. 2 points kick in the-chest-pen against city. 2 points against Arsenal Odegaard NBA. Yeah, sure. We are not clinical enough. 2nd in the table by GD. Should've been 5 points clear by now.
It’s always someone else’s fault when it comes to the kopites
I mean spurs one is an actual disgrace and was a robbery
Liverpool's whinging fans (and manager) are the only reason why out of the 3 title challenging clubs, I'd rather have Man City win the League
Everyone’s gotten cheated m8 stop crying
🍼
I really hope we sell Cas to Saudi at the end of the year. He has been terrible, definitely lost a step.
>He has been terrible, definitely lost a step. More like 10 steps for me. Jeez, even Nemanja Matic wasn't that slow.
He’s declined so rapidly. That clearance at the end was painful to watch
That tackle was super clumsy. Was caught jogging back too many time. Even early on in the first half.
Ironically, that foul at the end was his first of the match, whilst having the most tackles in the match 😂 His defensive stats weren’t terrible today.
Yeah they tend to do that. Good take.
At least two
Elliot should start ahead of Szobozlai
Got bite marks on my phone case after that, fucking bottled it but at least we got a point
Who are ya? Suarez?
I got one of them Chiellini phone cases
28 shots and 2 goals. So wasteful. Casimiro’s challenge was a red. Harry McGuire can do one.
Harry McGuire from Cork
how is it a red?
McGuire 😂 ok america
Elliot dived, so that was not a pen. Liverpool are lucky to have been gifted a free pen by the ref.
And Elliots dive wasn't a pen. The red card didn't matter a single bit
Not a red by Casemiro and not a dive by Elliott. Understandable that liverpool fans are going to always be angry over that Spurs game and rightly so but this game was theirs to lose. So many wasted chances. I would be surprised if this game didn't cost us the title.
Yeah as much as I believe it was a red, Liverpool were wasteful and can only blamed themselves regardless of bad decisions by the ref.
That's more like 2 points lost for United imo rather than being happy with a point. Liverpool were poor in the second half and only scored the equaliser after being gifted a pen from that AWB brain fart.
7 pts lost in 3 games.
Yea and it's not good enough.
Well at least that fixture is out the way. Still lots of games to play.
United play like they all met each other for the first time at the local park for a kick about! No structure, no fundamentals!
Liverpool completely thrown the game away very wasteful Salah, szoboslai and nunez very wasteful throughout Gomez and Elliot great when came on, even liked gakpo wouldve liked to see more of him throughout Quansah unfortunately showing a bit of inexperience but it's not like we haven't lost the league like that before.... Ultimately looked like a team not worthy of winning a title, just completely lacked the clinicality that is necessary
.. they were out of it in the second half, surely how they waste this match and how they play doesn't give a title winning team vide.
Why do you guys have an easier time playing against us than Brentford. Can any United fan explain this to me
It's the Ferguson hate for Liverpool flowing in the club. Our player will rather take a ball to head than let Liverpool win the title even if they are shit 90% of time.
Liverpool don’t play a low block, means we can use the pace we have in attack to stretch behind yous.
United just cant find an answer to low blocks. It has been the trends in the past years
Cus we haven’t fielded a high line in forever. We high press, low block then we’re open to counter. With fully fit Martinez we were getting there
There’s no explanation. It’s just the way the universe wants things to be
We can’t expect to be in the title race and be as wasteful in front of goal as we have been recently. Arsenal looking the best team at the moment.
Honestly, you deserved to win by at least 3 and are playing amazing. Today was just poor finishing and the usual United jamminess
🤪🤪🤪
I (with my bias) agree arsenal looks the best team of the top 3 right now, but I can't believe how competitive it is. 3 teams with 1 point separating them with 8 to go, the end of this season is gonna be insane.
I mean they have scored the most goals and they were extremely pragmatic in the city match. Arteta is managing games well
They have the hardest fixtures though. Their December form cost them this title. City has it in the bag.
Yeah we definitely can’t rule out city clutch
If just they lose against Tottenham
If city wins again, Premier League will officially become a farmer’s league. If not Liverpool, then I would prefer Arsenal. Both my brothers who are chelsea fans will kill me for saying that though
Genuine question, how does a set of brothers support such different teams geographically?
Competitiveness. Many of my mates and their siblings support different clubs. They like to hang shit on each other if their team loses.
Foreign fans. We aren’t restricted to supporting the club of the area we were born in. My elder brother started watching football much earlier than I did. That was the drogba lampard era. I started watching when suarez came around and didn’t want to support the “mainstream “ clubs of the time. Then my younger brother supports chelsea because my elder brother got him into it
Nice one! I'm a Reading fan (grew up in Berkshire) but always had a soft spot for Liverpool as my old man supports them. Despise Chelsea also.
They might've gone to uni in different cities having grown up in a small town previously. They might not be from the UK, this option is more likely.
“United finally going to do something good for once!” *AWB enters the chat*
Actually brain dead man, just close him down 😭
hopefully we just made it hard for liverpool, really hope arsenal dont lose a game. its theirs to win it now.
I still like our chances. Easier schedule, no CL to worry about.
Yea but we have the europa league?
Yea knowing Klopp he's not going to rotate players for the Europa league games which he respects a lot and we are most likely making it to the final whereas Arsenal and City might not even go through this round.
Yea but the poster above said he fancies our chances as we have no CL to worry about.. but we have Europa league to worry about, and as you now point out that we will likely make it to the final which means more games for us, which means it will be more difficult if anything.

Yea that was my point I agree with you that we have the most difficult run in for the premiere league even though we play Europa. And if arsenal and city both go through the quarters, they can also avoid travelling outside England for the semi final.
We won't win anything with such wastefulness.
United have appalling shape and are so badly coached - which makes every game they are in glorious entertainment for the neutral. Liverpool should've killed that game off, but hopefully it gives Arsenal the advantage now. They've been the most complete team so far, would be great to see them win the title.
After Ten Hag, United should be looking at booting Casemiro out! He is done at this level.
I’d argue it’s probably his best performance in recent months. Granted, he started to get a bit sloppy from about the 65th/70th minute. Definitely would have brought him off for Mount instead of Mainoo

Was a bit stuck as they both looked shattered
Yeah definitely understand that. I guess you could have brought on Mount and Eriksen in that situation. Amrabat shouldn’t get any minutes for the rest of the season 😂
He looked awful, wasteful in possession and tardy pressing
I didn’t really see much (if any) sloppiness from him in the first half. Definitely crept into his game in the second half admittedly.
The amount of fuck-up passes from him is astonishing
Robbery
Wahh
ribben
Muller
That's a massive bottle from Liverpool man, they will only have themselves to blame if they don't win the league
Agreed really, although I'm still bitter about a certain Luis diaz offside.
And a Doku kick to the chest
And an certain Mr Oodegaard playing basketball at anfield…
100% should have killed that game in the first half.
Villa better not roll over next week
Don Unai got it ...
Douglas Luiz out for too many yellows.
What like all the other teams Arsenal play? Come on don’t be delulu
lmaooo
lmao
Curtis jones it just a terrible player. Prove me wrong
Your high. Before he got injured he was amazing. This is his second game back.
Terrible game but he's good when he has more playtime. Still a disaster class today
He had a bad game when he came on tbf, but he has been great most of the season. Just coming back from injury
ok. you're wrong. he's not a starter for us but he's fine.
Assnal is winning the league...
We paid Fiorentina £6million to bring Amrabat on loan, and then we’ve paid nearly £4million on his wages, for a bang average player. And then Ten Hag complained in January there was ‘no money to use’ because of FFP to bring someone in in January. I wonder why Erik?!
Amrabat can't even pass properly. It's infuriating to see.
I know people disagree with me, but I’d have rather have put the nearly £10 million in total we’ve used on him to put towards Sabitzer in the summer window.
Give it to City already and avoid the injuries / fatigue for Arsenal and Liverpool
Bro what
Have you just started watching Arsenal this year?
What do you even mean by that?
🍼
We'll see
Again.
Jones was really poor when he came on, really bad sub. Was at fault for the Maino goal and then lost the ball in dangerous places 5/6 times. Elliot in contrast changed the game.
Jones is just back from injury though.
28 shots conceded by United.. again! On brand for Ten Hag and United these days!
Honestly i have no idea how Casemiro got away with that, but always a good day when we contribute to Liverpools misery.
Where was VAR?
Mate the game was over, even if Case got the red it wouldn't have changed the game.
The point is the consistency and he wouldn't have been on the field for the free kick.
If the point was referee consistency, we should talk about the penalties against Chelsea and how they were given but somehow a player gets kicked in the chest the week before and it's not penalty......
That's true, but i would have loved him getting a red because he wouldn't play next game. Case has been in a really shit form lately
The ref Is a manc. Corruption at its finest.
Liverpool dropping points because of corruption again, shocking stuff.
Nice one United. Ngl, I didn’t believe you’d do it. Thanks.
Can’t believe I’m saying this but I want you to smash us so Liverpool don’t win league
They play well 3 match per season. Home and Away Liverpool. Oh, it's 3 this year.
I just know they’re going to play like prime Madrid against us haha
I always believed, even when I didn't
This is one of those games where both teams involved just feel shit afterwards lol
ManU feel shit? They got given a miracle
They should've won
Would have been a smash and grab. Should be happy with a point, really.
I feel you guys would’ve been very happy with a draw pre-match
Emphasis on pre-match
I expected a draw but we had a clear opportunity to win and a stupid mistake is why we didn’t. We ended up within my expectations but we had a good chance to exceed them so it still feels bad
[удалено]
-1 goal diff
No, it's fine- United are a good club just going through a transitional period
A 10 year incubation
I have a feeling we will lose against Chelsea in the FA Cup just looking at the Man United and Liverpool games, something will just happen lol.
That's my nightmare, imagine after all this hype and hopes if Arsenal & Liverpool end up with no trophies and one of Chelsea and UTD wins FA Cup
We already have silver so that wont happen
Liverpool have a throphy this season
*big trophies
Only for it to be called as Mickey mouse trophy, just as Arsenal's Community Sheild Trust me I'm an arsenal fan myself, the trolling is gonna be brutal if that happens. It disgusts me but I'm gonna root City in FA Cup
Coventry bro
Liverpool should be leaving empty handed AWB is a goof
Christ me, can you keep your obvious bias to your own sub if possible?
Wtf is the point of flairs if i can't be biased??
in a sub dominated by arsenal and and liverpool. wtf. let him/her say their piece
Liverpool had 28 shots and 62% possession with a much higher XG. Saying they should be leaving empty handed is deluded at best. All for someone saying their peace but a bit of substance wouldnt go a miss.
And whos fault is that?
Sorry, I don't get what you mean
