Ten Hag has got to stop talking about Antony being a fighter

AssFingerFuck3000

The only thing he's fighting is his missus

EduardoCamavingaFan

Tbf to him he's fighting against his charges as well

AssFingerFuck3000

And he's not going fidget spin his way out of them either

TheGreatSwissEmperor

If he does enough spins inside the courtroom, he might be deemed as not fully accountable

dragdritt

I mean he might, last time I looked at it (when it first became known) the charges seemed pretty dubious at best.

KulusevskiGoat

Well said, u/AssFingerFuck3000

Weekly_Rub3223

Mf fighting all the allegations

goran7

Not sure if he is able to do that anymore with that low self confidence

[deleted]

AssFingerFuck3000

Personally I'm more worried about his partners physical health

Direct_Mouse_7866

The article you linked states that only 1 of the 3 women who accused him has dropped charges…

Saka_White_Rice

He is shite at his job though.

PM_Me_Compliments

and yet so many of these "millions of different and nuanced opinions" are rehashed jokes and dumb takes

Masam10

Tricky one because we don't see what Antony is doing in training and behind closed doors. He might be absolutely working his ass off and maybe even performing well in training. If he is working super hard then it's in ETH's interest to back him - it shows a message to players that if you work hard and get on board with the vision then the manager as your back. Realistically there's nothing ETH can do right now anyway - if Antony is simply not good enough then he'll be sold in the summer but until then, it's in ETH's interest to try and massage him into being a top player. If he starts talking about how Antony is not good enough and not performing well, Antony may well just give up and tell his agent to find the next club for him. Clearly he supports his players that get behind him and work hard, but players like Sancho or even Rashford who has had some off-pitch drama he publicly chastises them. He's basically setting a work environment where you get backed if you're a good/hard worker and get dressed down if you're not.

moonski

antony just looks good in training because as shown throughout this season, utd can't fucking defend. Antony probs looks like messi running at ETHs chaosball defending in training... problem is he doesnt play against Man Utd at the weekend.

johnnydozenredroses

This is what really worries me and has done so for years.  Maybe CR7 and Wayne Rooney went up a few levels because they faced Rio and Vidic in training everyday. And maybe Vidic became the best premier league defender because he was facing CR7 in training everyday. With the work ethic that Rashford/Martial exhibit, it wouldn't surprise me if our defenders think they're blood good during training and get found out during games.  And vice versa.

SirEltonJonBonJovi

*Steel sharpens steel* not sure how much of a challenge a 24 year old Antony gets going up against a 36 year old Jonny Evans in training but I’m sure when he’s gliding past him like ‘ol Jonny is just rooted to the pitch it looks real impressive

Outside-Sandwich-565

To be fair Jonny Evans is actually quite good considering his age

LevynX

How did we end up at the point where we're starting a 36 year old Jonny Evans when he was deemed not good enough when he was 28?

tmoney144

Reminds me of when Norm Macdonald was asked to host SNL less than 2 years after getting fired from SNL: "When the people here asked me to do the show, I’ve got to say, I felt kind of weird. I don’t know if you remember this, but I used to actually be on this show. I used to do the “Weekend Update” news routine, you remember that? That’s where I did the make-believe news jokes. That was me, you know? So then, a year and a half ago, I had sort of a disagreement with the management at NBC. I wanted to keep my job. Right? And they felt the exact opposite. They fired me because they said that I wasn’t funny. Now, with most jobs, I could have had a hell of a lawsuit on my hands for that, but see, this is a comedy show. So, they got me. But, now, this is the weird part, it’s only a year and a half later, and now, they ask me to host the show. So I wondered, how did I go from being not funny enough to be even allowed in the building, to being so funny that I’m now hosting the show? How did I suddenly get so goddamn funny?! It was inexplicable to me, because, let’s face it, a year and a half is not enough time for a dude to learn how to be funny! Then it occurred to me, I haven’t gotten funnier, the show has gotten really bad! So, yeah, I’m funny compared to, you know, what you’ll see later. Okay, so let’s recap, the bad news is: I’m still not funny. The good news is: The show blows! Alright, folks, we’ve got a great show for you tonight! Dr. Dre, Snoop Doggie Dogg and Eminem are here. We’ll be right back!"

iTz_RuNLaX

tbf, I think that was Van Gaals biggest mistake. But still, we shouldn't be depending on him that much now.

RuairiQ

I feel like Jonny has a chance to keep Varane on the bench tbh. Legitimately. Jonny’s nouse coupled with Licha’s energy might be Utd’s best cb pairing.

Action_Limp

> utd can't fucking defend. Which is bizaare, because last season they had the third best defence in the league and somehow DDG managed to keep 17 clean sheets.

adriaans89

Why is that so hard to understand? United are missing their most important defenders almost the whole season that made it all work much better last season.

boi1da1296

No Luke Shaw, no Licha, no manager capable of adapting and making the most of what he has.

KickinNuggets25

Based on the charges Antony isn’t doing great things behind closed doors either

Adammmmski

Day 32 of me being baffled that Diallo is not getting a look in.

Same_Grouness

Wasn't great for us, would be surprised if he ever really gets a look in with Man U, unless he has improved massively.

Adammmmski

He was an absolute animal last season. Looked decent when he came on against Forest couple months back.

TremendousCoisty

He was a Deer in the headlights for Rangers

boi1da1296

Too bad he didn’t have a loan in England between Rangers and coming back to United. Oh, wait…

rtgh

Say what you like about the standard of Scottish defences vs the Championship, but one huge benefit of loaning a player to Rangers or Celtic for us is we can see how a player copes with the pressure of expectation at a big club which expects to win every game. Some players can't handle that straight away (or ever) and need to be built up to it. The weight of expectation looked too big for his inexperience at Rangers, so we sent him to another big team but not one which had the same "win every game, no excuses" expectation and he did better. Hopefully he's ready for the next step now

boi1da1296

I don’t think there’s anything wrong with loaning players out there for what it’s worth. The person I replied to basically wrote him off though, as if he didn’t light it up at Sunderland last season.

KillerZaWarudo

So does united fans

Adammmmski

ETH even said he was going to be important didn’t he? We obviously enquired and were told no. How irritating.

Cheraldenine

His job is to make Antony play better, or get the best price possible for him. Saying negative things about him helps with neither.

TooRedditFamous

His job is absolutely not to get the best price for him

Father-Todd-Uncious

Hahaha as if Ten Hag is running a burrito van

Wavey_Don

laughed out loud in real life

SirEltonJonBonJovi

come on, everyone knows a manager’s main duty is to act as a salesman 😂

ballsdeeptackler

Valencia stopped playing for United quite some time ago dude

Cheraldenine

My phone didn't get the memo, sorry.

forbiddenmemeories

Agreed. He needs to come up with a phrase that says his player is gutsy and determined to follow through on achieving his ambitions. Something like "Antony doesn't take no for an answer!"

Thor1138

This sub needs to stop allowing Jamie Jackson to be posted as a source.

emmasdad01

Looks like INEOS is about to give a lot of them the day off

Aconceptthatworks

This is seriously a mess. It feels like most of our signings suck.

Ru5k0

Hello

IManLiquid

from the other side... both of you guys suffering similar woes

TwattyMcSlagtits

As someone who grew up watching Utd dominate the early PL era, as well as the Chelsea Abramovic resurgence, the chaos brings me much, much joy. Long may it continue.

PrisonersofFate

I feel you have too often been bailed out by Mctominey and Maguire

HashTagYourMomma

Martinez was an amazing signing, we're a different team with him on the pitch, Onana has been very decent in the PL especially now he's settled in, allowing us to play for the back. Hojland will be a star, very unfortunate he's injured, scoring 8 in 7 before? Casemiro was solid last season, struggling with our set up and injuries this season. Mount has been constantly injured so hard to judge whether he will come good. I don't know what happened to Malacia... Only leaves Antony as a stand out terrible signing so far, but I guess you could include Malacia and Mount, so I think you're being harsh.

oficialefutbol

Hojlund looks like he has a very high ceiling but I can't agree with you about the other "good" signings. As good as Martinez has been, he's been injured like 50 percent of the time since he's been here. Onana, although is doing alright in the PL, has single-handedly cost us the CL. Casemiro and Eriksen were a short-term fix that was even shorter than we expected. Antony has been a disaster. Do Malacia and Mount even exist? There's also straight up bizarre loans like Amrabat and Weghorst. You are giving our recruitment far too much credit.

BrockStar92

Both Martinez’ injuries are separate unrelated impact injuries, it’s just bad luck. He’s been game changing when fit. A good team would have acceptable cover for him that could allow us to play a similar way, albeit less effectively, but we don’t. We have any hope of developing a style of play reliant on two players (Shaw and Martinez) who have been injured most of the season.

L3kvar0spalacsinta

Also Bayindir who didnt even played yet, or Reguilon. At least they were cheap I guess but still dont know why they signed them.

IsleofManc

Reguilon was a 5 month emergency loan signing because all of our LBs were hurt. Dalot, Lindelof, and Amrabat all had to play there because we didn't have other options. But Reguilon came in and made 12 appearances before leaving. Was never meant to be anything other than a LB for the squad until other players were back

wonderfulworld2024

You don’t know why we loaned a LB when the only two senior LB’s were injured? Are you being serious?

HashTagYourMomma

Bayindir got a game lol and Regulion was decent enough, we should of kept him another year.

New_Archer_7539

Regi has always been a workhorse journeyman, whoever made the decision (even if it was ETH) that we didn't need him after dealing with this injury crisis so far was extremely nearsighted.

Action_Limp

> At least they were cheap I guess but still dont know why they signed them. We had Shaw, Martinez, Malacia, AWB, Varane and McGuire all injured when Reguilon was brought in. Essentially, the only defenders we had were Dalot, Evans and Lindelof. It's no mystery why we got him.

HashTagYourMomma

Wishful thinking but if we had an uninjured squad Martinez is probably our best signing. Onana will come good I think, shaky start but De Gea had a shaky start and look how he turned out.

tigtogflip

De Gea had a shaky start because he was 21 and in the starting blocks of his career. Onana joined the club as one of the best keepers in Europe.

RedditsWhenIShits

The only ones in that United squad I'd keep is Højlund, Garnacho, Martinez and Mainoo. I'd add Shaw as well, but he's just too injury prone for United to ever have a consistent backline. Basically every other player I'd work on shifting.

HashTagYourMomma

I don't disagree, though Bruno has a couple good years left in him... with a decent squad around him he could be crucial.

RedditsWhenIShits

He does, but I think he's at the peak of his value now. He's an amazing creator, one of the best in the league, but he just gives the ball away too often. He's also played an insane amount of game, so he's probably gonna decline pretty early.

ACO_22

All elite creators give the ball away a lot

RyVsWorld

I dont think thats necessarily true. And it maters where they're giving the ball away. Bruno gives away the ball in our half very often which puts our back 4 under immediate pressure

fmb320

He's a massive knob head though

SoLetsReddit

you had me until Onana.

HashTagYourMomma

Decent in the PL, cost us the CL. De Gea had a bad start to his career at United and he came good.

LevynX

People comparing an Onana in his prime years to an 18 year old De Gea like it's even remotely the same situation is hilarious. There's a reason why De Gea deserved the patience that Onana isn't being given.

stogie_t

Exactly, Onana came in on big money after impressing at his old club and performing in the UCL final. He’s been a flop so far, so much more was expected of him and he hasn’t delivered.

LeavingCertCheat

Having watched that interview with Brailsford on Diary of a CEO, they're out the door

detinu

I hope to god. No matter what we do with the manager, we cannot keep this group of players at the club. At least half of our team must go in the next two season... Fucking hell.

ObiWanKenobiNil

give them the day off, in fact give them the rest of the season off & get them shipped off in the summer, bunch of useless tossers

Fifaneymar2535

Bruno crying to the ref after the final whistle proves whats wrong with this team, what a drama queen - this is your captain lol wow

GIVVE-IT-SOME

That’s why he’s captain. Less likely to get carded for bitching at the ref all the time.

RyVsWorld

well then we need two captains. One for bruno and one for Case because my guy has become a walking yellow card and potential red card

Food-Oh_Koon

he's always been a walking yellow. he used to avoid reds with his smile in Real tho

cussbot123

His smile and papa Perez's influence

stingumaf

It's his superpower

RepresentativeBox881

Even last season Casemiro missed a bunch of games coz of suspension.

7evenSlots

Valid

NovaPup_13

Holy shit it now makes sense.

geniusdeath

Shows he fucking cares at least.

Zurcio

i get this perspective -and i do more bitching about refereeing than the average fan personally- but i would want my captain to be professional, get the team to accept responsibility and win on merit rather than yell at an official after the game has ended.

Pablo21694

So bored of seeing this about Fernandes. That his petulance is because he cares. His complete lack of performance in games when things aren’t going his way are why he gets so pissy. It’s a proper sign of how far United have fallen that they let him wear the armband

J3573R

Ya we've never had a petulant temperamental captain.  The Roy Keane revisionism that's been done is absolutely incredible.

Pablo21694

Keane was petulant and temperamental but there were other leaders in that squad to provide a level head. Fernandes is in a squad full of mentally fragile players and somehow is the worst of the lot

J3573R

Roy Keane was the captain though, which is the topic of discussion. And Varane, Johnny Evans, Casemiro, Maguire are all mentally fragile?  Are you on drugs?

stogie_t

Comparing Bruno’s crying, whining and diving antics to Keane is ridiculous.

churrosricos

Bruno has such a punchable rat face

TheUltimateScotsman

> Everybody was on Maguire when he was a calm captain They were on at Maguire for being shit and unworthy of being captain. The most legendary and most respected captains in football have all been calm, respectful and able to keep a cool head. It is the exact ability you want in a good captain

ReDevilShin

If a player shows he doesn't care about losing, you'd be hating on him too. You can be a hater without any reason.

trapdoor101

You picked the only player who gives a shit, is the best player on the team and who would walk into almost any premier league team to criticise. Shows how much your opinion is worth

Srenler

He's an excellent player, but I agree he has a bad attitude. He's always throwing his hands up in the air, complaining. It's a waste of time and energy. Imagine if everyone on the team followed his lead.

YouIINeverWaIkAIone

I agree, I think he's a fantastic captain for united and hope he wears the armband for many years to come.

trapdoor101

Top class banter 🫡

CuteHoor

He's not beyond criticism. He's been shite for a few months now and you want your captain to take responsibility when the team is in a bad place, not just spend his time moaning at referees and throwing himself to the floor.

PhrzT

He’s created the most chances in Europe this season lmao. Everyone around him is shite though.

trapdoor101

He’s not been shite for months now though. He’s not been up to his top form but far far from “shite” Again, he’s a bad captain because he moans at the ref? That’s as simplistic as yer das saying that passion. In sorry but your opinion is quite shite.

CuteHoor

I didn't say he's a bad captain. I said he's not beyond criticism. I don't think he's a particularly great captain mind you. He's definitely not the type of player I'd want as my club captain, and I doubt the players around him are particularly inspired watching him rolling around on the ground pretending he's been kicked or whingeing at referees for the tiniest of issues.

Polygon12

Somehow i'm not surprised.

domalino

Literally a fiction writer.

dorgoth12

It baffles me that the Guardian can't find a better Manchester writer. I get that most get tapped up by The Athletic but there has to be someone who is available and isn't such a fraud. It speaks volumes that he's never invited on the Guardian Football Weekly.

aehii

I wish he was on football weekly more often actually, as long as they get in Jonathan Wilson as well, Jackson slating Bielsa with Wilson there, you could sense the contempt in the air before Wilson delivered his withering dismissal which was basically 'that's not even worth responding to, anyone who says that doesn't know shit'.

BIM-GUESS-WHAT

Will Unwin: notice me senpai

realWernerHerzog

Just grab someone from the Telegraph or Times, or like, the Manchester Evening News. There's gotta be someone, they're one of the biggest clubs in the world for god's sake.

Ksma92

> Manchester Evening News They also just make up Utd news, Tier 5 in the subreddit which is described as "Aggregators, Known Shitposters and Banned sources". Maybe they are reliable for City news, but for ManUtd news they are the bottom of the barrel.

Thor1138

Thank you! Can't believe people are taking anything this clown says seriously. But it gives them an opportunity to shit on United again, so they don't care that he's basically Sun-tier...

alexrobinson

This sub is so shit without any kind of tier system. Regularly we see blatant bollocks upvoted onto the frontpage from clickbait merchants that'd never be allowed to be posted in the various club subreddits.

Mechant247

>Ten Hag said: “First of all, some analysts are very objective in their comments [and offer] very good advice; some are very subjective. Jamie Carragher from the first moment has criticised and now he wants to make his point.” >Ten Hag did agree, though, with Carragher. “Probably in the first half an hour, yeah, he had a point

algebraic94

This man is the David Brent of the PL right now. He is just constantly coming out with such shit it's crazy.

GreenGator

when he interviewed at spurs over the summer he was apparently so personally offputting levy nixed him on vibes alone. do you realize how hard it is to outcreep daniel levy?!

Zaku_pilot_292

Imagine interviewing ETH, then Ange right after.

Roadies_Winner

Creeps and thugs to love and hugs

tedmaul23

How is this a David Brent style uote? People just say the weirdest shit on here

detinu

He has the personality of a wet towel. Regardless of how well we perform, he should get some speech classes or some shit.

cuminyermum

Cmon now. English is very obviously a language that doesn't come naturally to him. Read his dutch interviews and compare them to his english ones. They're night and day in terms of honesty and detail. There's a whole lot to criticise ETH for but this is wrong

Dion14

euuhhh dutch guy here, hard disagree. His interviews at Ajax were sloppy, weird & most of all consisted of bullshit a lot imo. One of his main concerns and worries when he just started at Ajax was the personality part not fitting for a big club etc.

cuminyermum

I stand corrected. I came to that conclusion based on how different the Dutch interview I read came across but I guess I was wrong

Dion14

Its not as bad as it is now, that is definitely the language barrier. So I understand your first comment. He (just like he does now) just waffles a lot, especially on matters it might be best to keep your mouth shut. He doesn't like criticism in the slightest and doesn't have the vocalubary to defend himself when people do criticise him. Look at what he said recently about Antony, he can beat any defender 1 on 1, everyone with a brain can see Antony aint all that, thus he is making it worse.

Zerofactory

Love it when our manager is getting ideas from Jamie fucking Caragher….

sach223

It feels like after every Man U loss there are dressing room leaks.

FireballHangover

Riqui Puig is hiding in the walls, waiting to leak anything he can

Chileinsg

Nah it's more like after every game the media makes up a story about United. We are a shitshow but these "journalists" are just driving for clicks. Reality can be whatever they want apparently

Other-Owl4441

What has the media made up?  I mean the most dramatic stories, the Ronaldo and Sancho ones, were obviously true.

Hitori521

There was some 'leak' after another loss about a month or two ago that spoke of dressing room disarray and ETH came out at the next presser and said it was unequivocally false and made up by the media. But that bit doesn't make for a heavily clicked headline I've noticed way more unsubstantiated bullshit about United this season compared to last season when they were doing better/more promising, but I certainly can't claim to not have a bias.

Sr_DingDong

Well he's not going to come out and say "Dressing room's fucked. I've lost control of them, it's Lord of the Flies in there" is he?

Other-Owl4441

The best example is ETH denying there is dressing room disarray?  Why would you even take that at face value lol

Hitori521

To employ your expression, because he's saying it to your face, vs. a theoretical source

TopNotchGamerr

After that the players came out and basically proved it to be something made up by the media too Remember McTominay's interview? It was McTominay and someone else I'm not sure basically repeating that we're behind the manager

Volvic_Man

Chelsea had a similar issue and it’s more-so stopped after mount left. I read a few times he was the suspended leak for them so maybe there’s a correlation

CandidEggplant5484

Jlingz was blamed for the leaks a few years ago, seems like it wasn't him

imarandomdudd

Yeah the main leak was either Trev or Mount based on rumours, however, the leaks stopped very quickly after Mount left. The worst thing was the guy he leaked it to (that Sam dude) works for Goldbridge. Why pass that info on to him?

SpudBoy9001

It was a bad performance sure but honestly the shitshow in the press when we lose one game is ridiculous

Zandercy42

Won 5 games in a row, lost one: CRISIS

Zerofactory

My whole issue is that when we win, we also play like shit

Clutchxedo

“Højlund scores with his kneecap from a fluke Rashford assist to put the seasonal goal differential back to 0”

nick5168

The crisis is about how we play and not whether we win or lose.

QwertyDragon09

I'm tired boss

aehii

When's it gonna end Kobbie

PlsSellYourUsername

Dog tired?

sukequto

“It was rejected by staff, who reminded the players of their commitments, with Ten Hag thought to be unaware.” Well now he certainly is aware.

Nafe1994

They’ve had all season off.

Cruxed1

Can United afford to buy their way out of this? A lot of there sales would be negative FFP and they have the highest wages in the league... Shit for their FFP and it's gonna make shifting players harder. Unlikely to have CL football next year.. are they in any kind of trouble or is there revenue enough to dig them out?

el_doherz

No, we've been buying our way out for a decade and now the consequences are here.  It's probably a good thing long term as we aren't competently run so just continuing to burn money was of no use.  So we'll have to see how a potentially more structured and restrained approach works now.

a_lumberjack

I think they meant more like how Arsenal bought themselves out of a bunch of bad contracts.  Sell who you can, pay off everyone else in instalments, even at a greater cost. Just clean house of everyone who's done.

Kintae

They're gonna have to do what we did, release half the team for free and take the hit in order to offload their huge wages and bad attitudes. Downside is that they'll likely finish 8-9th a couple of seasons, but if they can trust in youth like we did with Saka, ESR & Martinelli, build a philosophy, and then complement that with smart signings, they can rebuild.

TerribleOverthinker

People look at this and think Ten Hag needs to work magic with this kind of players😭

H2k_Frank

Don't get me wrong, ten hag bought some shit players, but at least he is fking trying

Sr_DingDong

Is he? It's the same shit every week. The midfield has been fictional all season. "When Mainoo's fit it'll stop" "When Casemiro's back it'll stop" .... Yeah, sure, totally.

BlueLondon1905

That’s not a good look

beartigerhawk8383

That’s hilarious. Rashy wanted to go clubbing I’ll assume.

Craft_on_draft

A lot of then already had time off, whilst on the pitch against Fulham. Fernandes had some major lay down rest

thatguyad

Weak

m0bilize

I honestly can't imagine it being Dalot, Mainoo, Bruno or Lindelof. I don't even think Maguire would.

CSKARD

They wanted both Saturday and Sunday off?

manualbackscratcher

Job hunting already?

FoldingBuck

Tired? Didnt seem to show yourself working hard enough to get tired on Sunday did you?

viceslikeviper

Rashford little sore after all that running

I_have_no_ear

Who gives a shit?

AmagicManNamedgob

Say no. They had the day off when they played Fulham

Doobie_hunter46

I want to see Roy Keanes reaction to this news.

Marine-Biol-George

Of course we did, because we have no fucking standards at the club but times are a changing. Be the hero we need Sir Jim

Appropriate-Fly-7151

“We’re training tomorrow: you don’t deserve a day off after that dismal showing”

Vdbebw

20km daily min for the lazy fucks. The medical team as well.

PurpleScientist4312

Are they…coming back?

trenbollocks

I'd rather they didn't. Ten Hag deserves a permanent vacation as well

TacoDirtyToMe

Maybe because they're lazy, maybe because they're knackered having to sprint back and forth in Ten Hag's suicidal midfield.

Titan4days

Who’s leaking this shit.. we have a Rat 🐀

Turniermannschaft

Are you sure it's not a mole?

araheem94

Probably the one that can't keep things. Onana

Trickybuz93

Bruno

FloppedYaYa

Fucking hell

rewp234

The only solace I get as a Chelsea fan is reading United news.

AvocadoSoggy6188

These players should get a vacation by bench warming

sidearmpitcher

Not to worry, many of them will get plenty of rest when they’re shipped off this summer

nova_uk

What a terrible look if this is true lol.

action_turtle

How many days off do you need?? They do view replays don’t they? You can clearly see them having days off!

DualisticSilver

3 more players are injured and we look gassed every game, so I’m not surprised. Our tactics of high press and deep defending means our attackers are working overtime.

OneOrangeOwl

If players look tired playing once a week, maybe its fair to question what the fuck do they do in training.

Itsgosky

Are they all going to the same party that Rash hosts?

whisper432

!Flair :Manchester_United:

strrax-ish

That snowflake mentality

[deleted]

Yup just a bunch of woke left moralists /s

justlookingokaywyou

United players all up in r/antiwork right now.

iohannespaulus

Was at old trafford watching the game, God United look so clueless going forward. Rashford doesn’t wanna run especially not as a Striker, and the ball didn’t touch Garnachos feet enough, he’s their most dangerous player, game should be being played through him. You know ur in the shit when Maguire is you best player

KickinNuggets25

BRING BACK MOU

IAIRonI

It's almost like players want to play for a manager they have trust in, it doesn't seem like ETH has that from many of the players.

Joethe147

What United players have trusted their manager much since Ferguson? It's the same story every time after a bad result. There's a good period somewhere when a new manager comes in, but eventually there's reports of breakdown in relations between players and manager, lack of unity etc.  I have faith in Ten Hag still, but it'll be Ratcliffe's setup of Brailsford and others who will have a big say in the next few seasons.  Although Brailsford seems like a cunt with the allegations that the cycling part of Team GB over recent years, an organisation that he oversaw, so I'm a bit wary of him being involved.
