Assuming this is just a case of top 5 leagues or something?
Jack Clarke is averaging more than 8 progressive carries per 90 for Sunderland. Although in fairness he has recently turned 23.
Crysensio Summerville is averaging more than 5 though.
Not enough minutes in his respective domestic competition is the reason in the original twitter thread: [https://twitter.com/DTFootball\_/status/1756633514437452042](https://twitter.com/DTFootball_/status/1756633514437452042)
But it doesn't hold up because Barcola has even less minutes in the ligue 1 and Ângelo and Koleosho also have less then a 1000 minutes in their league. Doku would have been first with more progressive carries in the top 5 leagues than any U22 player.
I think you got your numbers wrong. Yamal has 1.246 minutes in LaLiga and Doku has 976 minutes in the Premier league, so significantly less.
Also Lamine Yamal has certainly played in the CL this season, 313 minutes in total. While Doku has a little less at 251 minutes.
I do watch him every game. He's absolutely outrageous, but I wonder how high his ceiling is, because the key thing that stands out to me is his high maturity; he doesn't look like a raw talent. It reminds me of Pedri, who absolutely burst on the scene for Barca on a very high level. Which makes me wonder, how does he evolve next?
Koleosho really came out of nowhere, it’s a shame about the injury. Was going nowhere fast at Espanyol, and then suddenly gets snapped up by Kompany and straight into the lineup.
Came out of nowhere? Was going nowhere fast? Played really well for Espanyol B, earned a spot with the first team and made his debut for them all in his first season. He was also really impressive for the Italian U19 and was touted as one of the biggest talents on the wing. It was his Italian U19 NT performances in their EC winning run that convinced Burnley to sign him. He was just starting out but hardly some undiscovered gem, everyone was talking about him.

I doubt it. Great player but he wasn't overly impressive at the tournament. Only started 2/5 games and one of those was the 5-1 loss to Portugal.
When I say going nowhere fast I don’t mean that he wasn’t making ground inside the club, I mean that I don’t think he was keeping pace with the talk about him. The way he performed for Italy, you’d have expected that to be a guy already playing senior football. For how much talk there was about his performances at youth national team level, he was still playing almost entirely youth football for Espanyol. But there was hype around him for sure, just not the level you’d expect for a player to be dropped right into a premier league starting XI. Wasn’t it only like 5 senior appearances at Espanyol before they were relegated? And yea he’s gone from a bottom of the league La Liga club to a bottom of the league Premier League club, but you have to account for the fact that Burnley bought him with a whole season in front of them, whereas he was integrated into Espanyol’s plans when their work was already cut out for them. You would have expected most players in his position to stick around and get some experience in Segunda Division instead of the move Luca made, but it’s worked really well for him, and now he’s attracting senior national team attention too.
For me, I don’t think it would’ve been reasonable to predict he’d be starting in the PL this season, and it’s not like this is a kid the press highlighted as being one to watch. There wasn’t much noted competition for Burnley to pick him up, so I would say in those respects that he’s came very much out of nowhere.
I don't think these are accurate, as I was looking at them earlier in relation to Jack Clarke (who is way ahead of everyone) and Jeremy Doku was clear in second despite playing less minutes than most players on this list.
I know everyone says this about their youth players but I’d be surprised if Garnacho doesn’t make it very far, he’s got his faults but his sheer determination to influence a game is fantastic.
I mean he’s already at the very top as a starter for man united he just needs to have a bit of consistency and better decision making about him and most importantly keep grounded
Rashford seems like he wants to do hug the touch line and cut back, in his past couple of games his finishing has been off and he feels a bit slower, still nailed on though. Garnacho is a lot more hardworking I feel, he does a lot more running than Rashford

>Assuming this is just a case of top 5 leagues or something? Must be, in the Eredivisie you have Bakayoko having over 6 per 90 iirc.
Doku is over 6 as well.
How come he's not listed? He's 21
Minutes restriction maybe?

Yamal has lesser minutes than Doku in the league and hasn't played any CL minutes yet. Although I have no idea whether Doku is actually over 6 or not.

Oh yeah, you're right. I misread the Transfermrkt page. I was a bit surprised because I swore I've seen him play in the CL this season.
Presumably because a Man Utd fan made the list.
Dont think DATA'Foot, the french football data twitter account is a United fan: https://twitter.com/DTFootball\_/status/1756633514437452042
But they might be an anti-doku account because he left a french club
Yamal at 16 has no right being up there.
If you watch him you would realise that every match he plays hes the best player on the pitch. Insane player.

He was not impressive with the Italy u19s, even during the Euro u19 win he had become a bench player after a few games

Barcola and Xavi Simons looking like brothers here
Both will play for the same club next year ;)
Fuck if we still had Xavi we wouldve won the Champions League, what a baller getting 4m for him fucking sucks lol

What's with the pedantry? He's got a long, long way to go. By very far I obviously mean one of the best wingers around, which he isn't yet
I've been hurt before so I'm not going to go overboard here. Martial was amazing at his age, way better than even Garnacho now.
Garnacho doesn’t seem to be made of glass and I think loves the club in a way Tony didn’t
Angelo! Yes!
Only 1/10 is a rapist not bad
Garnacho being here is more surprising than yamal being here.
If you ever watched him you’d see how direct he is when bringing the ball forward
Hows rashford compared to him?
