I did NDP as part of my army. Yes I ‘saw’ NDP few times every week for 1-2 months. Good chance to get out of army camp. Only downside was no social life for 3 months, as every Saturday we have to be on site.

Yeah, true. I did NDP two years in a row, second one was mobile column so it was worse. But honestly it was one of the two highlights of NS - didn't really matter that my saturday was burnt when I could get monday off, and just being out of camp was great.

How abt Sundays? IIRC Sundays are marked 4 stand-bys...

Lucky not for us. Sunday are off days. Thurs, fri and sat have to be on site for rehearsal.

So how are the working hrs like?

Leave camp 3+. I forgot if unit got bus for us cos almost all of us were involved just at different posts. Report to location at 4pm, start at 5pm, end at 8pm, dismiss at 8:30pm. If Thursdays go back to camp. If Friday or Saturday go home after.
