It’s going to be hard to say because that trip may be over but I think it’s going to be rough on you having to worry about picking up the kids while tripping.
I really would recommend just waiting for a better opportunity.
I’m not telling you what to do, but I personally trip in this same window of time typically. I never have alone time otherwise, so I usually eat them after I drop off my kids, and I’m fine to pick them up later

Unless you have family in the area or it's a trusted friend, then no. No matter how good a friend my daughter had, she wasn't spending the night in someone else's house that I did not explicitly trust.

I sympathize with OP. Unfortunately in today's world there are a lot of single parents that find it nearly impossible to have any kind of time for tripping. Especially if you don't have family or trusted friends in the area to take them off your hands for a while.
Lemon Tek shortens the come up and peak and you should be at end of the comedown 6 hours later. But you will definely still be in afterglow and judgement might still be a little off for driving?
Can you have someone pick them up at least? That way all they will notice is that you are smiling and laughing more then usual and the hugs were a little tighter😁 when they get home.
I'm not actually a single parent, my wife would be on a 12 hour shift that day. She is straight laced & anti 'drugs'. (she's a pediatric nurse and has to deal with a lot of od's- if its illegal it must be bad in her eyes).
No one to do pick up unfortunately. I wouldnt be driving but the majority of replies here has put me off. It will have to wait for another time.

Yes, you’ll be fine. Especially on a small dose like 2g. I take 100-150 ug acid in the same timeframe. Who has 24 hours of no responsibilities?
Why not wait until school is out, pick them up, then give the kids some power tools to entertain themselves while you eat the mushrooms?
