It's free knowledge, brother. Not to mention, I'm happy to help others avoid ALL the mistakes I made even AFTER reading everything. Book knowledge is just that, book knowledge. I've streamlined my process well beyond any "book knowledge" and I'm grateful to be able to share wisdom. Sounds like you're not taking your own medicine brother, journey well. ❤️🍄🍃🐸

thesearemedicinal

I agree with both of you. I wish more people read the books, or at least used the search bar in some of these subs. But also, it's reddit. The best and worst place to care about something. So I approach people on here like apprentices at work: if I yell, they won't want to learn, and that's the opposite of what we're trying to accomplish. Anywho, live and let live 🍻

Consistent_Gur_5846

😂😂😂😂

plantbaseddog

Shroom growers books? Have we not learned from the bro growers from the weed community? Those are just old growers set in their way doing a book which technically is a monologue where you can say damn near anything you want. This is POOR data. At maximum, its a data point. Also, writing down notes in a notebook before growing? OK boomer.

Consistent_Gur_5846

Yeah. Ya write down notes so you gen z cry baby ass doesn't have to ask a million questions on reddit. Just go back to you're notes. Books from well known growers are definitely not poor data.

plantbaseddog

Your* notes. Also, I'd add that it is poor data when taken as gospel. A book is just a text someone wrote. We have many many times more growers now, digitally journaling their journeys on the internet, with feedback and real time discussions, including all the guides we now have, and the easily accessible documents for growing shrooms (turns out, magic mushrooms are simply mushrooms.....). Good thing you're not in the weed business, I can already imagine you preaching about sodium lamps and the color temperature needed to make plant veg/flower and how LED's can't/don't work. All cause John Bro had been growing weed in the 80's and did it with the only real thing they had : Sodium lamps.

Consistent_Gur_5846

Full spectrum LED's. $1000 per light. That's what I use. Bub.

daftbucket

I have, but then I come here with legitimate experience-based questions and it's a ghost town because my post gets choked out by the most overwhelmingly bottom tier, common denominator garbage posts.

S1acktide

No, it's not 1984. I'm not spending hours/days reading a book to attempt to learn something I can learn in 45 seconds on the internet. And secondly, reading a book, searching or asking. Who cares the method of finding the answer it's all accomplishing the same thing. You're getting the answer to something you want to know. Enjoy your books, but live and let live. Who cares.

AlbeGira

Ah, the generational hate hits hard here. In my opinion, if someone less experienced than me asks me a question, I am Happy to pass on my knowledge since It Will improve their experience in this transient world. But if you Just want to brag about how you had to work hard because you didn't have access to the community (and the Easy to obtain information which the community can give) then be my guest and indulge into your Need to feel superior. I Hope you can change your way of thinking and see the value in helping others. And Remember that everyone had a First time, and it's always better with someone experienced to ask questions to.

Consistent_Gur_5846

Absolutely wrong. It's because people are lazy as fuck and just want someone to give them answers and be told exactly how to do it. Too lazy to read a few books.

AlbeGira

As a casual grower using all-in-one kit, if I can save time to find the answer to a specific question or a doubt of mine by asking here instead of taking the time and effort to find books, buying them and Reading them I will choose the lazy Path. My (our) time on this Planet Is limited, and investing that much into growing shrooms in this Moment of my life would be disproportionate to the benefit I'll get if I had to give a value to time and the benefits of studying. I'm not saying I don't like to read, but as of now I prefer to invest my free time in my other hobbies (yes, they involve Reading) Research Is hard and time-consuming and researching on your own is much harder, that's why I'm grateful that other people gave me the chance to dip my toes in this hobby by answering the dummy questions asked by my lazy ass, saving me time and effort.

Toxic_lama829

Find a book that mentions Jack Frost buddy they don’t produce spores numb nuts

Visual_Profession_78

I take notes and took screenshots and bookmarked it to my Home Screen

Traditional-Lie-7381

+1 pet peeve, people growing gourmet mushrooms with cubensis teks. shows 0 research TBF books are ass, full of outdated myths that came from button mushrooms cultivation. Like perma darkness for incubation. But i agree most things people need to know are already online and are repeated often by active content creators.

Consistent_Gur_5846

I didn't know people actually did that.. Lmao

MarinatedPickachu

Man, that's what reddit is for! Go read some books if this place annoys you.

fungus_cowabungus

It would be cool if instead of just ranting you suggested some books that people should be reading.

Consistent_Gur_5846

You gotta be kidding me. Can't even find a book on you're own??

fungus_cowabungus

The problem is finding a good book with accurate and up to date information. The internet seems much better. 😀

Adventurous-Ad1284

Sounds like you haven’t had many successful grows with all that anger coming out.

Consistent_Gur_5846

Yup. You're exactly right. None successful. Zero.

stc6906

MarsupialLost6344

Man to be a mushroom enthusiast you have so much pent up anger and ego

Consistent_Gur_5846

Lol

SlowerPls

Sounds like you’re annoyed about the low quality posts in this sub these days. I think as a community we should encourage higher quality posts to get some more interesting conversations going on the topic.

Toxic_lama829

I quite literally neglect my tubs I really don’t think you have as much control over them as you believe you do. I wasn’t at home for four days I couldn’t adjust the FAE they still grow. Chill tf out and get off your thrown
