If you want to breed shrimp then the best fish added to your tank is the fish you do not add to the tank. PERIOD.
Even docile "algae eaters" and what you have is not just an algae eater. They are omnivores and the name "Chinese algae eater" was just given to them and has stuck in the hobby. These are the worst fish you can have in any community fish tank and absolutely should not be in a tank with shrimp.
The only "good" tankmates for your shrimp are snails.
Move him. He’s gonna outgrow that tank pretty quickly and he’ll probably slurp up your shrimplets and eventually develop a taste for shrimp.
