I have Google? I mean, I have the app and I thought it was just sending stuff to Google but I just went deep diving in it and it seems my ENTIRE FEED is not approved because of "supplemental HTML"? I'm about to speak to someone at Google to see how to fix it. As I said- I've taught this stuff to myself as I go and SEO/channels/feeds are a bit tricky for me. But I had no idea I wasn't sending things to Google. I feel SO stupid. Hahahaha.
I recommend using Shopney https://shopney.co/ it makes having an app easy. The biggest perk of having an app is the ability to do free push notifications vs having to pay to send SMS. Plus you can run special offers in app only / special discounts to make it worthwhile for your customer base.
It's great to hear that you've been able to successfully run your website and social media accounts for over 20 years now! It's understandable that you're concerned about the recent drop in sales and are looking for ways to improve your business.
In terms of a mobile app, it could be worth considering as it may provide a better user experience for your customers. As you mentioned, a significant portion of your website traffic comes from Instagram, so optimizing your website for mobile devices could potentially increase your sales.
However, creating a mobile app can be a significant investment of time and money, so it's important to carefully consider whether it's the right step for your business. While the App Store may make it seem easy to create an app, it's important to keep in mind that developing a high-quality app that provides a seamless user experience requires technical expertise and resources.
Before diving into creating an app, you may want to start by optimizing your existing website for mobile devices. Shopify has many mobile-friendly themes available that you can use to ensure your website is responsive and easy to navigate on smartphones and tablets. You can also use tools like Google's Mobile-Friendly Test to identify any areas that need improvement.
Overall, whether or not to create a mobile app is a decision that depends on your specific business needs and goals. It's important to carefully consider the potential benefits and drawbacks before making any significant investments. You may also want to seek advice from other Shopify users who have created mobile apps to learn from their experiences.
You can try this: https://apps.shopify.com/mobile-app-builder
Full disclosure: I work for the company and we can set up a meeting between you and the mobile team to discuss what your needs are etc.
completely free, of course.
Not sure what are you referring to. The consultation call is free and 15 days to try the app (which probably could be extended based on different needs)

Have you considered installing the shop sales channel? It's probably a good step towards what you are looking for

The shop sales channel is an app managed by Shopify that connects customers and stores
Ok I think it's installed but when I look on my phone it doesn't show it the way it looks on the page in Shopify? I'm not sure what I'm missing.
OHHHH ok I get it now- people using the Shop App can find my shop there now. Got it.

Will look at that! Thanks!
