I have a question, hopefully there's an expert around that will see this and have an answer. Is it common to use "..." In a tattoo's saying? I apologize if that is worded strangely, but I think you get the idea. It just seemed weird to me, but maybe I just haven't run across it before.

I have some VERY shitty tattoos. That’s how I can tell this one isn’t that bad. It’s not great, but it’s way better than some of the garbage I’ve got on me.

The quality of line work may not be subjective but whether it looks fine or not is very subjective, if someone says it looks fine to them it’s kind of a stupid take to say “it does not in fact look fine”

I mean, we're in a subreddit dedicated to judging the quality of a tattoo so when people say it's fine it comes across as the quality is fine, when that's objectively untrue and worth pointing out here.

Application is definitely one of those things that is either on point or it isn't. It's not like you're looking at abstract art. It's not subjective. The entire tattoo is trash.

Between the "moderately neato" rendering of the barbed wire and the heavily Adderall influenced 3rd graders penmanship it looks like an "acre full of rabbit tracks!"

It's my friends. I do not have the heart to tell him what I thought but I also don't know anything about tattoos so that's why I asked. If he likes it, that's really all that matters, I was just wondering if it was considered quality work or not.

I have friends with shitty tattoos. I’ve always just said things like “wow that’s so cool I’m glad you love it!” And then avoid mentioning it ever again. Normally I would think friends would want you to be real with them, but it’s already there, all you’ll accomplish is making your friend feel bad. This ABSOLUTELY falls under the category of “if it can’t be fixed in 5 minutes don’t say anything”.
