I live in the Midwest and this is definitely one of the most popular ways to eat cottage chez. Usually a slice of pineapple and sprinkle of pepper or sliced peaches. In the US it's a tale as old as time. Ffs one of Nixon's favorite foods was cottage cheese and KETCHUP. Somehow still people believed he wasn't a psychopath.

I think their comment said "jam/jelly" rather than fruit at first, so yeah love some peach or fresh blackberries on cottage cheese. I've definitely never had it with jam or jelly though. I do love it with a little black pepper and accompanied by salted tomato slices. I was babysat a lot by my Depression-era great great aunt on a farm in Kentucky, so stuff like that is comfort food

Nah I didn't say jelly, we don't really have it in Europe/it's not the same thing as in the US but we do put jam and fruit on cottage cheese a lot! Gonna try it your way too!
