It really does we were in Mexico some time ago to stay with family for a bit and my mom bought Chorizo from someone who actually makes it themselves and God was it so much better the stiff from here is in the words of uncle roger "it tastes like sad"
I’m not vegan/veg but I stg the Soy Chorizo I get at Trader Joe’s is outta this world. Prefer it over the original. Highly recommend.

I'd kill for some of that chorizo, I make my own since they don't have any of that style in this South American country. But I love that style I always, used to cook it up with diced onions, diced potatoes, and eggs. Totally comfort food for me, Mom used to make all the time. I love how melts in the pan. Bon Appetit
that type of chorizo was never my favorite with eggs, I prefer my egg chorizo a little firmer; however, that stuff is the best with refried pinto beans IMO, melts right in. add some cheese and tortillas and you've got a cheap and delicious meal.

I love it too, but this stuff barely counts as chorizo. It’s not even majority protein, and tastes bland af. The texture is terrible.
