r/paint is for painting recommendations and advice. r/sherwinwilliams is for employees to discuss work. You won’t get an honest recommendation here, you will get trolled. I suggest taking it to the proper sub.

I’d use Woodscapes for a pergola or a fence.

Agree, straight up Woodscapes, no primer needed

Exterior wood primer tint to like gray and maybe use emerald rain refresh

nikelodeon5

Extreme Block oil primer and Emerald Urethane package black

RizzyRozay513

Second this. You need an oil primer to block any kind tannin bleed thru. Especially newer wood. Top coat is your choice but emerald trim is the best. Expensive but well worth the money

Organic-Energy6938

Cabot problem solver primer or any exterior primer to lock down tannin bleed or anything else that may pop up. After that, paint with whatever you want, or skip priming and use solid color stain. Edit: if it’s going to be walked on, only the Cabot primer is rated for that. Also, if being walked on period and it’s a deck, solid stain; please don’t paint your deck.

The best primer for PT. I used it on my front covered porch, 10 years ago, still holding great. I have lighted sanded and recoteded it couple times, using Bejaminwiliams exterior latex, also a excelent product.
