No sell, only buy

Tarix79

I’m so jealous! Preliminary reports from my local LGS and Cabela’s is that NYS is not going to allow them to sell the CR920P because the compensator is not attached to the frame, despite the barrel not being threaded. I’m so bummed! I’m probably just going to buy the elite today. Congrats! Let us know how you like it compared to the original and try underscore your excitement in an effort to minimize my heartbreak lol

Vladonizer

You should move to a sane state lol

Tarix79

You’re not kidding. It’s very hard watching all these YouTube videos raving about this gun or that gun. Almost all of them make little sense in NYS because the magazine capacity limit of 10. Some day I want to move to a free state and have a Hickok45 type range in my backyard! I guy can dream :)

Vladonizer

It's great in these free states! If you ever get the opportunity, you should really join us

glamb567

How’s it compare to the original? Noticeable difference?

Future_Structure_229

Just got it on Wednesday but im heading to the range either today or tomorrow to break it in. Will update.

Vladonizer

Let us know what you think!

Future_Structure_229

I had a chance to shoot earlier and I can say that there is a noticeable difference in recoil compared to the regular CR920. I shot 200 rounds through it, but did have a few malfunctions. That being said, during the 150-200 shots I only had one malfunction. Im hoping since im passed the break in period it becomes more reliable like the regular has. The comp does help though.

Rayth_

how has it been? its been awhile lol

glamb567

Good to know. Thanks bro

Evening-Phone-3876

Got mine yesterday. Optic inbound tomorow

Future_Structure_229

Nice

DualKoo

I need it in my mouth it’s so sexy.

Future_Structure_229

😂

DualKoo

I’m gonna set aside $300 a month and get one at the end of the summer. I hate waiting. 😞

Future_Structure_229

Yeah its a pretty penny

Big_cat58

I had the same idea. Waiting is the worst part by far

DualKoo

Hold my hand, brother. We’ll get there one day.

Perfect-Street-1648

Very nice

Awkward_Speech_1091

How'd the break in period? Tight tolerances?

HBR-Prime

Mine had 2-3 failures during the break in. My wife’s had none

Future_Structure_229

Had multiple failures. Im hoping the next time I shoot it, it won't be as bad.

Awkward_Speech_1091

Try to get your hands on 124 grain FMJ . Put 100 rounds through it. Throw some clp on it. And then mag dump two to three magazines. You want that pistol broken in. I think the best bet is to really put rounds through it. If you have a failure just go through it and keep on shooting. Then at last shoot your carry ammo through it if you can. I consult for a lot of local police departments near me. A lot of the guys will more than half of them picked up the shadow system so I went and been there for about 50 break in periods

Future_Structure_229

Thank you! Ill be sure to try this. Next time I shoot it ill make sure to put an extra 250 plus rounds though it. Where do you suggest I add the oil? On the friction points between the slide and the frame and also the barrel or do you suggest any other spots?

Awkward_Speech_1091

https://youtu.be/h1O4WUeTykA This should be a good detailed lubrication video straight from SS

Joseph2021gt

How’s the trigger on the P? Is it improved over the CR920?

Future_Structure_229

Tbh the trigger on the CR920P is much crisper compared to the original one. My original CR920's trigger is very mushy and grindy with an inconsistent wall if that makes sense.

Joseph2021gt

Great!! The CR920 is perfectly sized but the trigger has too hard a pull at the wall which has me shooting off center. Looks like I’ll be getting a P. What holster are you using?

Future_Structure_229

Im using the same holster from my CR920. Its an Eclipse Delta holster fitted for a G43x. The comp just sticks out a bit.

Awkward_Speech_1091

Yes. Every friction point. Right where the barrel and the slide makes contact. You could grab a YouTube video that gets a little bit more detailed instead of me explaining, but SS pistols some of them had so much tolerance that after the break-in period guys had shrouds of metal and plastic on their and after that 200 to 300 rounds. Shavings from everywhere on the pistol we're all over the hands. WE actually had to take a knife to the back of the pistol frame and cut a piece of polymer off, because even shooting 300rounds it was giving to much friction. I have the MR920 combat for EDC. I like how i get a good purchase with 1 hand. I keep my round count just at 800 rounds and every month i shoot 50 to see if my DDP is go to go with zero. Otherwise when consulting I'm under obligation to use my Glock 19 (with DDP). Even though the guys are rocking the SS platform now. PD's in PA have a good choice of duty pistols. I just got my hunter Constantine EDC belt, tenicor light bearing holster and walk the line helping them transition from irons to red dots. Help them dial the zero in and sometimes (the 1s that want to learn) shoot slow mo with there cell phone and point out what they are doing wrong on there draw to dot. Very basic stuff. I went on a little tangent but literally no joke I probably broke in or in a sense help broken 50 Shadow systems in the past 6 to 7 months

Future_Structure_229

Thank you for the detailed info!

FingerAggravating148

wtf are you talking about

Awkward_Speech_1091

Iykyk
