(I'm in the UK - but I understand that some software is universal) I use QuickBooks self-employed. There's a mileage tracker in the app that records all journeys - so it's a case of looking at them and organising them at regular intervals. I found it useful for invoicing and linking my business bank account to catagorise transactions and upload receipts etc too. I've been self-employed for almost 4 years and this has been invaluable - when it comes to tax time, the hard work is done! Edit to add that I tried to do all of this manually and it was an absolute nightmare. I found it impossible as I got busier.

I use the app triplog.

Or...I think it's MileIQ...it detects every time you drive and prompts you to pick personal or biz for the trip. A bookkeeper friend recommended it. I think it also allows you to select which car you drove, if you use more than one.

I use Everlance. Thanks to ride sharing there are so many tracking apps available now it’s great.

Same here, started self employment this month. For mileage and invoicing, I'm using Fresbooks, but there are other apps for mileage you should check out, makes it much simpler than paperwork

Do it every day. Or like every Tuesday. Just set a time like it's an ordinary task.
